Actually anyone 1600+ can beat stockfish without a queen. And any GM can beat stockfish without a knight/bishop.
@@GMKirKon Have you been watching these? Hikaru (not Stockfish) slaughters 2200's at 3 minutes. Admittedly 10 minutes could make a lot of difference and Hikaru slightly higher-rated than Magnus in blitz.
Hikaru's channel is like a reality show now. You can listen/watch 24/7 and you will always find that gem.
Better than prime time television.

These guys are almost gm. This is simply madness. The amount of work hikaru did on chess must be insane.
they are not close to gm level because blitz rating is higher than their classical rating would be, most people in the 2400s on blitz are IM or FM or maybe CM level I think. But still insane that he beats titled players down a queen.
@@RTA33 if I'm correct, 2500 is enough to be gm (and you've beated 10 other Gm in tournement) somthing like that. Still, I'm not even close from 2400. Hikaru would beat me with a queen a rook

Im 2400 online and 2061 fide so online blitz ratings are very inflated compared to classical fide ratings, also none of the players had title in this video

This is very easy, even i can do it and im like 800 elo
up a queen vs stockfish isn't that hard because stockfish plays the objectively best move instead of complicating positions. I'm 1200 elo and can beat stockfish (lichess one) up a queen.

I want to see Hikaru play a series of 20 blitz games against stockfish, where Hikaru always gets a full set of pieces. In the first game, we start Stockfish off missing 20 points of material (say down a queen, two rooks, and a pawn). In the second game, Stockfish starts off down 19 point (just missing the queen and rooks). And so on, with stockfish getting another point of material each time Hikaru wins. At what point can Stockfish beat Hikaru? I want to know!!!
okay, maybe 20 points is too many --- start at whatever handicap Hikaru thinks is appropriate, and then go one point up or one point down based on the result.

This is a good illustration of the role of psychology in chess. btw in this context when you guys say 2400 do you mean 2400 USCF? If so that is about 2300 FIDE.

Dunno but at 4:14 the black knight could have returned the favor to Hikaru with the rook capture. Knight e3 was easy fork for 2 rooks and also touching a bishop. the kngiht would be at a safe spot so even trying to buy tempo to escape needs attacks on queen or king but even then u cant save the 2 rooks. Black coulda win after as queen does have easier way to pin attacks than the others.

at 17:53, yes it aint easy at all but he does have a way around it and that is to take the white queen.
Rook sacrifice for unleashing the attack, Rook g3, there can only be one move... after king takes Knight brings Havock with knight f1+ and that gives us all the rights to take the white queen and the chance to keep it up on the fight. and as it is Hikaru can win.... well maybe im putting too much trust on ti but he can leave the game with style that is it :D

Hey, Hikaru i want to know when does a chess player should start studying chess openings?Everyone higher rated than me can answer this question if they want , but i really want a answer
Whenever you want. You first have to understand the basic principals of chess, but after you could start studying openings. However, I would advice to play a lot of games and improve your tactics rather than studying opening theory.

Some tricky tactics there I need to use an engine to be sure it's ok. Engine replied d7 for white and white has an even better advantage.
