Höchstens schulterlang darf der neue Shag sein, wild und fransig durchgestuft, sodass das Deckhaar um einiges kürzer ist als beim klassischen Longbob. Das Stirnmotiv sieht nach einem herauswachsenden Pony aus, das sowohl mit Mittel- als auch Seitenscheitel getragen werden kann.
