I have this foundation in the same shade as you. I’m almost 40 and it makes my skin look luminous. I do agree it grabs onto dry skin a bit. I also agree it’s light to medium coverage, which is what I love about it..it looks like second skin and seems to make my face glow. It’s not drying at all, and yet not tacky or sticky, it’s just right. If you don’t have dry flaky skin it will work for you. Also will work for you if are ok with light to medium coverage being enough. I have a lot of redness in my cheeks and across my nose, and this foundation is almost not enough, because although it does cover it, it doesn’t last the whole day. That’s the one downside that makes me not want to repurchase. Perhaps it would help if I used a primer or powder to set it, perhaps that would help. Lately I’ve been adding a small dab of medium coverage foundation (Dior) I have to kick up the coverage and it’s been really amazing. IMO, this product is worth a try, especially if you value clean products that are safe for your skin and body.
Thanks for the review and video, Shelly, really well-done. I've commented often enough it's probably not even necessary for me to say this will be a "nay" for me. It looked beautiful, though, such a shame about the dry feeling. Probably time to tell you again how much these videos are appreciated; you've saved me a bucketload of money on things that I might have splurged on otherwise. One last thing, that Laura Geller highlight is gorgeous, and I still have mine, too! Might be time to dust it off and re-use. Have a great weekend!
This video was amazing! Thank you! I really appreciate your candor and humor. This has been my favorite foundation review I have ever seen and was really helpful. Thank you
Childhood trauma can stay with us well into adulthood. To this day anyone teasing someone gives me unpleasant memories. I’m so glad I’m confident at this stage of life! Kerry Gold cheddar is the best!
Shelly, after you mentioned on a recent video about Wayne Goss brushes not being available anywhere, I went over to their website and contacted them about it. Just got an email back and they have said.... are ya ready for this? YES the brushes are coming back and will be available shortly. They will contact anyone who has signed up to be notified when they're back in stock. Hope that makes your day.
@@goow Delighted to hear it. That's one of the best birthday presents I've got today, making someone's day. Cheers me dear. My baby turned 18 yesterday too!! It's been a crazy weekend of celebrations and I think I have cake coming out my eyeballs now!!
Just curious about your thoughts on the brand itself, BeautyCounter? It’s not one I will be purchasing from just because of the potentially harmful structure with MLMs.
I purchased it at Ulta, but am not opposed to MLM company products as a whole. I judge companies on their individual merit, and there are some great MLMs and terrible MLMs, just as their are great retail companies and terrible retail companies.
Happy you reviewed this-I do like that amount of blush on you!! Your makeup looks amazing as always!! Not enough coverage for me- and the dryness 😢 BTW- and I love Kerry gold cheese tooooooo!
Thank you Shelly for another great review! I’ve been super dry lately and so I won’t try this one for sure! It looked so good at the beginning though… I was wondering , are you thinking about trying the Chanel Les Beiges Water-Fresh complexion touch (seriously, the name!!! Could it BE any longer ? Say it with Chandler’s voice 😅)? The reviews are so good but the price though… it looks super interesting! Maybe for the next Sephora sale…
I've got it on my list to buy (and I totally read that in the Chandler voice) - waiting on a good coupon! I was holding out for the Sephora sale but didn't realize they don't carry Chanel makeup, only fragrance. So now I wait more!
Your make up looks amazing as always!! The foundation looks beautiful but I'll pass if it feels drying. I have that Laura Geller highlighter too!!😆 The good ole days!!👍😊
Am I guessing right to say that probably equals out to the same as dry skin in a normal climate?! When I travel to Vegas or Phoenix or anyplace dry I almost shrivel up 😂
Wow, looks great after 8 hours. Is there a heavier moisturizer you can try underneath it? It’s such a great color on you and it looks fresh after all those hours.
Hi, on my husbands account again and love your videos and I just wanted to mention, I hope you won’t mind but I notice a lot that you mention you have dry flaky skin and I see on your close up it appears it may be from overexfoliation and rather than exfoliating you may want to focus on pure moisturizing and barrier repair ingredients, like glycerin, cholesterol, lipids, etc. and just try going for a few weeks or even days without exfoliating and you may notice an improvement in the dryness as your barrier builds back up and you will stop having trans epidermal water loss. If that is perhaps a contributing factor. Eucerin advanced repair is a great lotion if you want a mild exfoliation that aids in rebuilding the barrier because it contains lactic acid but not as an active, but skin naturally contains lactic acid so it helps build back up the structure of your skin. Also Targets up and up version of ceraves daily moisturizing lotion with ceramides is also very good and the Ordinarys natural moisturizing factors also their multi peptide and HA with vit B5 is also helpful. I just think with tis chronic of a dry skin issue you may be having it is a barrier thing. I hope this helps. Just looking out and not being judgey or critical, I just have been through similar and recognized the symptoms possibly. Also the Ordinarys Squalane to top off is good for repair.

I’ve seen good and bad reviews so I’m happy to see you review it as I have gone from oily skin to dry dry with 40 looming this year

Would love to get your thoughts on the Basma foundation
Just grabbed it in the Sephora sale!

Wow, such a lovely look Shelly, sorry to hear it’s so drying…I can’t do tight drying makeup either, it actually hurts the face…😢
Thank you Shelly for another great review! I’ve been super dry lately and so I won’t try this one for sure! It looked so good at the beginning though…

Thanks Shelly! I didn’t realize Sephora wasn’t carrying Chanel anymore… maybe Ulta will put it in their winter sale 😅 one can dream, right? 🤩
Thanks Shelly, have you tried Nars Sheer Glow??
I don't think I have - I've got the tinted glow booster but not the sheer glow.
@Geek Out of Water I'd love to hear your thoughts on it, a lot of people say it works great for dry skin!
Your make up looks amazing as always!! The foundation looks beautiful but I'll pass if it feels drying. I have that Laura Geller highlighter too!!😆 The good ole days!!👍😊
Thank you for your review ❤ I'm normal skin in a super Dry Climate. ;-)

Are we any closer to a Fiera concealer review video ?
Yep it is coming next week!
How often did you wear make-up?🤗
Probably 6 days a week! Not quite every day but most days!

Shelly, you need to start adding a short clip of the sandwich! Foundation and sandwich fest!
LOL what were those food videos that were popular for a while - eat a sandwich and talk makeup! 😂
"I want to watch that girl on TH-cam with only one face! Lol
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
It’s a shame it felt dry on you! Might be good for full on oily skin types
It sounds miserable. I think a B and definitely B+ is too high
