A tip from a devgru guy for white lights on your night time gun. Always use a positive on off button tail cap on the unit and never a pressure pad. Last thing you want to is to go to grab your c clamp and shoulder the rifle and have a white light ND and get detected by the enemy.
I actually believe in the opposite. If you need white light, you need it now and so you need immediate access. ND of light is like ND of firearm, its something that should never happen due to weapon familiarization and location of your handstop. Just like how we keep our finger off the trigger, our thumb should be parallel with the rail until we need light.
Definitely a possibility to think about if you’re about to be in a gunfight fight for your life you may not be thinking about it when grabbing your rifle quickly
OR just get a OHC light cap and use whatever pressure pad/button you want! Seriously, some of these guys aren't keeping up with technology and materials available! By all means employ light and button discipline but use whatever you can get!
Thank you for the kind words! We definitely still recommend running a dual switch for two main reasons: 1) off hand shooting will be easier as the light will be in your way to activate the unit (most likely). 2) you will mostly want to run your light on momentary and so you will need a pressure pad to accomplish this.
Good stuff man, just a quick question on lasers..... so I'm a lefty, the issue I have with lasers is I normally rely more on the pressure pad more then the fire button on the the laser itself BECAUSE the fact is every laser I've seen the fire button is located on the left side of the unit...... which makes it very difficult to use do to fuckin hobbit hands.... do you know of any work around to remedy that if the best placement for a laser is pushed forward and on top of the gun???
The L3 lasers have the fire control button in the center of the device. The new Wilcox Raid-xe has the button on the right side of the device. Both companies offer civilian and full power options. We would recommend to check those out. If those don’t work then pressure pads may be your only option.
@@tylertapp131 What they said, but also another option, if you have the money, is the BE Meyers MAWL. It comes shipped in a right-handed config, but you can reverse it by taking the laser "head" (front part where the actual laser and illuminator come out of) and tail (rear part where the battery cap and switch connections are) off and just switching them around. Like the laser version of a Cloud Defensive OWL, lol. I'm a lefty too, and I'm looking at (and would go with) a FP PEQ-15/LA5 myself though, because the button is in the middle so it's pretty ambidextrous.
As they said it isn't that great, but it is possible. The short magnifier like the eotech G43 works best, and with a tall riser (I use 0.75"). You can buy the chinese airsoft clone and it is basically the same thing in quality, just a slightly reduced FOV. When you use the magnifier you have to have an IR illuminator on or have a light source at your target location.

Y’all are already my favorite IG pages and now About to be my new favorite TH-cam channel 💯💯
We never did get to see the CQBR Block II build... I mean, I was kind of looking forward to it and stuff.
Good info. Trying to get a better understanding of the options out there.
Great explanations!
Please make an in-depth setup video. Most of us watching these videos is hearing about your perspective and nuances. A 5 min video doesn't do that
Will the peq15 work on a 7.62*39 mm platform?
Yes!
So would y’all recommend still having the dual switch for offhand use? Or not even bothering with running a dual and only using the button on the unit

I run same set up!

Are any magnifiers compatible with NV?
They don’t work well, if you need magnification we recommend a clip-on.
