Don’t forget about your public (or school) library for reading. It’s free. Some public libraries also pay for app access to Libby (ebooks) for their patrons. I have a bookshelf full of books, but I’ve read more books than I’d ever be able to afford thanks to my public library.
The best part about this video is that you covered every part that every young adult is looks at. • Gym (Physical) • Reading (Cerebral) • Instrument (Creative) One of the simplest but best videos I’ve seen in a while. Good Stuff Mr Chad.
My physical hobby is trudging through the thick foliage of the huge woods surrounding my home to catch Pokémon, play songs really loud, and sing along as the forest confines my voice so no one can hear. Since I work in a kitchen where I do tons of running around and lifting, my body isn't exactly enthusiastic about incorporating that on my days off. My back suffers enough already 😂 Although I do have to admit I have gained an insane amount of muscle mass simply from working there, which is honestly mind-blowing. As for the other two categories, I'm still trying to figure out which hobbies I want to pick up. I have tried coding and even finished a C# book for beginners, but for whatever reason, I stopped and sort of forgot everything. I am, however, interested in web design, so I'm considering diving into HTML and CSS just for fun. Still, I kinda thrive by indulging in hobbies that might not be deemed beneficial or productive by others but provide me with satisfaction and relaxation when I'm not working. Sometimes, I just wanna tune out the whole world, boot up my Nintendo Switch, and spend hours playing video games or watching TV shows. I get to learn about many cool things, practice English, and nerd out as I please! :D
my favorite hobbies are drawing, reading, programming, dancing and exercising. I enjoy them a lot, I have my week organized to invest time in each one. the key is in the organization.
I'm dancing, playing basketball and going to the gym(Physical hobby, since I lost 8 pounds) / I wanna start reading ( celebral hobby) / I'm producing music and writing lyrics and rapping (creative hobbys). This video reallly made me realise what I need and what I have, thank you :D
Hobbies I already have: Physical: Table tennis, basketball Cerebral: Chess Creative: Art (All sorts of drawings) Hobbies I want to start: Physical: Gym, running Cerebral: Writing poems, programming Creative: Knitting, learn to play guitar and refining my singing, learn cooking
here's mine so far: • (not really a hobby, just had to do something with skinny body, but im enjoying it so far) gym • harmonica • i dunno does sudoku count? • as a non-english speaker, english (but i think im taking it for granted sometimes) so yeah, it's not much, but it's honest work
Great video Colin, I’ve been doing team sports my whole life religiously. Last year I wasn’t as excited doing it I knew then i needed to start new hobbies. Since November 2023 I been doing Jiu Jitsu and since the start of the year I started learning Italian and playing the guitar. I think the ‘Why’ has got me so excited to learn this new endeavours. I think language is one that should be in hear. It’s a great plus in any situation
Excellent video. Even though I'm not in that 13-21 year old cohort, this is valuable advice. Some additional points: I think two other hobbies that should be pursued are public speaking and style. Public speaking is an underrated skill that most folks never think to focus on. But it makes one more informed, builds confidence, and commands respect. Dwayne Johnson speaks of this in his student days. For style, as a young man, I hated shopping, never learned proper grooming, went quick and cheap, and I see now how much that skill could have benefited me in the professional and social world. And it could be a hobby to learn these new skills and get past discomfort.
Yupp, that's called a complete informative video.....I've never been stuck to a single hobby yet coz my mind is just very impatient, so if I have to tell my hobbies in general thaey would be Physical hobby: Morning walk, yoga and asanas Cerebral hobby: Reading quotes and writing some Ceative hobby: Dancing, singing and playing piano🎹
This video truly has the potential to make our life more productive, enjoyable and attractive. Im glad i tapped on this video. And I'll surely try the hobbies you mentioned. Thanks for video Collin ❤.
Physical: jogging, going for walks outside Cerebral: reading Creative: journaling Things I’m trying to implement Physical: incorporating strength workouts into my schedule, getting better at sports skills like throwing the football and hitting the volleyball and dribbling the soccer ball Cerebral: writing a story (I never have motivation 😅), studying film techniques (this is kind of creative too) Creative: getting back into practicing guitar, baking/cooking something new
Geez I am already 21 seeing videos like these makes me feel like I missed out on so many opportunities. Gonna start now, It is a bit late but it is better than not trying at all.
Honestly, it has nothing to do with age. Learning new things is fun in itself, mentally stimulating and so joyful. Also, interests might change so it's more a matter of not becoming complacent. And just FYI I'm 43 😅
Another valuable video to significantly increase productivity and growing. Your pointing out of the benefit of having a sense of purpose fades the negative emotions and redeemed me from inhibiting feelings. Thank you again Collin ~
young creator here - between juggling school and content, i've realized how much i've ignored hobbies. this was a great pick me up. thank you :) fyi - for anyone reading this i share reflections on young adulthood and what i've learned navigating life in my 20s. hope to see you around :)
I'm currently 27 (turning 28 this year), and a college graduate in the Spring of 2023. I'm having some trouble finding work and have no job experience besides taking care of my grandfather and getting IHSS benefits before he died two years ago and a work program during my second year of high school. Right now, all I've been doing is helping my aunt to clean up her yard (though expecting payment), and drawing fanart of different anime/manga characters and posting them on Tumblr (trying to monetize the work by the way). For my hobbies: Physical: Working in the yard and walking around the neighborhood. Cerebral: Reading miscellaneous topics, utilizing A.I. programs for money on the side, and learning investment in stocks and trade on Robinhood. Creative: Drawing and developing my own comic book, drawing digitally on Photoshop, and drawing and uploading crossover fanart on Tumblr.
I thought it was just too overconfident to say this video is the best to watch for today, but turns out this is the best video I have seen in a while. Not too much so I would forget later, a simple thing but most importantly it makes me take action (list and group my hobby, and then add some new).
I have heard that top universities will look for students who are different and can create an impact on society. By seeing you I can say, it is completely true.
physical: workouts I do at home, I've been doing them for 2 months already without quitting! cerebral: I'm learning chess and I love doing Sudokus 😅. I'm learning Chinese I'm also reading Cosmos by Carl Sagan... Some concepts are hard to understand and I have to concentrate a lot, I love it! Creative: I read and I write songs every now and then. I started to learn how to draw this week! 🎉
Physical: Hitting the gym consistently. Cerebral: Learning Languages both linguistic and digital (German, Japanese, C & Lua). Creative: Songwriting, literature writing, and the guitar. School is really bogging me down right now, but I'm glad I'm hitting these as often as I can. With that being said I don't know if being "attractive" is the right motivation or reasoning behind a hobby. It should be something that fulfills you.
If I should recommend any nonfictional book i would definetly choose Shoe Dog, it's just amazing, and not too hard to understand. I started reading at least 10 pages everyday since christmas, and i started with Shoe Dog. I've never had the feeling that a book was interesting until i read that one... simply spectacular.
I'm a girl practicing self improvement and i loved your video. Here's what i've been doing: Physical: Long distance running, badminton(training for a tournament) Cerebral: learning german, reading, journaling(might fall under creative?) Creative: piano, guitar, sewing, creative writing, cooking It's good for me to make a list like this, to help remember to keep up with my hobbies. Thanks for the vid.
Been working out for a year straight now. Even while being sick. Began collecting and reading historical texts, now have a library, began writing a novel and painting/sketching and taking care of plants on top of work and school. Now I started a history podcast and it’s only getting better. Good for your mental health.
Thanks man, i really needed this. Been in the gym for almost a month now and feel great, and doing a course on graphic design for around 3 years now. I think its best to add some reading and writing into my routine. 🙏🏻
Hey, I'm a professional software dev and I just want to tell you that, while it's great you have interest in programming, you shouldn't focus on learning new languages. Try solving problems on Leetcode and start a few projects. You may already know this, but programming isn't about knowing languages, but more about problem solving and critical thinking.
Time to read 500 books guys, if you’re at school, you have many free options on what book you want to read that’s in your school library but when you leave school then you have to buy them with money.
I have a lot of hobbies but some of them I dont do as much as others 1. swimming 2. badminton 3. lifting 4. learning languages 5. reading 6. writing 7. drawing 8. playing saxophone like, drawing takes a lot of energy for me so I dont do it as much school has made it harder to find time to read and write and swimming, I only do in the summer bcs Im on a team, and badminton, I only do during spring bcs that when the season is the funny thing about saxophone is that theres like different seasons for it: summer and fall is for marching band, winter is for pep band and jazz band, and spring is for concert band so currently, my main hobbies are lifting, learning languages, playing saxophone, and the badminton season is starting up so that too :)
Hi, I have always been intrested in playing the saxophone but I never built up the courage to do it because I would have had to learn it by myself, I don't know anyone who plays it so I would like to ask you if you think an amateur can learn it only by YT tutorials or if you need a teacher, also would you like to tell me how was your path? Thanks in advance and have a good day =)
@gabry6721 yes ofc you can learn saxophone through yt! You're never too young to start learning an instrument. It brings me so much joy to create music and i think no matter your age you can enjoy it too. You'll learn faster w a teacher, but there are plenty of yt tutorials out there too so you can also learn that way. You'll want to decide which sax to choose bcs the most common are these 3: alto, tenor, or Bari. Bari is the biggest so most expensive, also requires a lot of air so a big lung capacity, and tenor is medium sized and alto is smallest out of those 3. So alto would probably be easiest to learn first. Gluck on this potential musical journey, I hope you decide to pick up the saxophone!!! :) ❤️
@gabry6721 also, im in concert band, jazz band, and marching band. I love marching and jazz band so much they make me so happy. Depending on how old you are, marching band is pretty much just for high school and college students, but I'm sure you can find jazz and concert bands to join in your community if you're out of college.
I'm a girl but here are my hobbies :) ------------------------------------------------------------- - Workout at home I currently can't go to the gym so I like to do pilates and I also do Le Sserafim workout, it makes me happy, productive and ready for the day :D ( It mostly makes me tired TT ) - Drawing I'm drawing since I was born basically and it really just relaxes me :) - Reading books It's a new hobby and the reason I started reading mostly for school to understand thing better cuz mostly when I read I don't understand anything at ALL so I'm working on that. - Dancing It's like an excercise, I do K-pop dances mostly and I'll try to experiment with other dancing styles somewhere in the future :) - Singing I enjoy singing so much that I sometimes annoy my brother TT - Makeup I recently got into makeup and before school I like to do simple makeup like hiding dark circles and doing skincare. I might be experimenting with makeup like doing heavier makeup and trying different applying tehniques. - Learning languages I decided to learn Korean to in the future move to Seoul and pursue my career :) And it's rlly fun learning Korean, and the language is very beautiful. That's kinda all xd, I'm planning on making studying my hobby cuz I hate studying but I know that I have to study so yeah, I hope I helped someone and gave hobbie ideas, luv y'all! -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Don’t forget about your public (or school) library for reading. It’s free. Some public libraries also pay for app access to Libby (ebooks) for their patrons. I have a bookshelf full of books, but I’ve read more books than I’d ever be able to afford thanks to my public library.
W
physical: lifting, muay thai
cerebral: reading (history, mythology, fiction), 3d modeling
creative: guitar, bass, writing
The best part about this video is that you covered every part that every young adult is looks at.
• Gym (Physical)
• Reading (Cerebral)
• Instrument (Creative)
One of the simplest but best videos I’ve seen in a while.
Physical- Tennis
Cerebral- Learning Spanish, HTML, Chess, Reading Books (:, Writing Tweets

Great video Colin,
I’ve been doing team sports my whole life religiously.
Some additional points:
I think two other hobbies that should be pursued are public speaking and style.
😎🤞
Yupp, that's called a complete informative video.....I've never been stuck to a single hobby yet coz my mind is just very impatient, so if I have to tell my hobbies in general thaey would be
Physical hobby: Morning walk, yoga and asanas
Cerebral hobby: Reading quotes and writing some
Ceative hobby: Dancing, singing and playing piano🎹
This video truly has the potential to make our life more productive, enjoyable and attractive. Im glad i tapped on this video. And I'll surely try the hobbies you mentioned. Thanks for video Collin ❤.
Physical: jogging, going for walks outside
Cerebral: reading
Creative: journaling
Things I’m trying to implement
Physical: incorporating strength workouts into my schedule, getting better at sports skills like throwing the football and hitting the volleyball and dribbling the soccer ball
Cerebral: writing a story (I never have motivation 😅), studying film techniques (this is kind of creative too)
Creative: getting back into practicing guitar, baking/cooking something new
Geez I am already 21 seeing videos like these makes me feel like I missed out on so many opportunities. Gonna start now, It is a bit late but it is better than not trying at all.
Same
I am over 21 and I felt the same, but you are right! Better late than never
Honestly, it has nothing to do with age. Learning new things is fun in itself, mentally stimulating and so joyful. Also, interests might change so it's more a matter of not becoming complacent. And just FYI I'm 43 😅
Hobbies that involve creativity are the best.
Another valuable video to significantly increase productivity and growing.
Your pointing out of the benefit of having a sense of purpose fades the negative emotions and redeemed me from inhibiting feelings.
Thank you again Collin ~
Age doesn't matter you can build any habits at anytime late is better than never 💯 Go ahead 👍🏻
young creator here - between juggling school and content, i've realized how much i've ignored hobbies. this was a great pick me up. thank you :)
fyi - for anyone reading this i share reflections on young adulthood and what i've learned navigating life in my 20s. hope to see you around :)
For my hobbies:
Physical: Working in the yard and walking around the neighborhood.
I love hobbies, I exercise and read, and I'm studying English however it is very hard 😂 and I'm learning to play chess. I practiced boxing as well.
Physical: equestrian and track
Cerebral: reading and journaling
Creative: bracelet making, depop selling, cooking
I remember this guy being like 30-35k 2-3 months ago. Great growth mate , keep it up
physical: workouts I do at home, I've been doing them for 2 months already without quitting!
cerebral: I'm learning chess and I love doing Sudokus 😅. I'm learning Chinese
I'm also reading Cosmos by Carl Sagan... Some concepts are hard to understand and I have to concentrate a lot, I love it!
Creative: I read and I write songs every now and then. I started to learn how to draw this week!
🎉
Physical: Bodybuilding, hiking
Cerebral: Language lerarning, reading
Creative: Writing, calligraphy, guitar
The comment for supporting this amazing channel. Thank you for what you do, keep it up and we will support you!
It should be something that fulfills you.
running, reading and making random quatrains... these are my hobbies :)
I just discovered your channel. And i love that you have also added subtitles. So im gonna subscribe. Plz never stop subtitling. ❤❤❤❤
I'm a girl practicing self improvement and i loved your video. Here's what i've been doing:

Videos have been helping me a lot with my self growth, seeing a lt of progress in different parts of my life. Thanks Collin
Much love
Been working out for a year straight now. Even while being sick. Began collecting and reading historical texts, now have a library, began writing a novel and painting/sketching and taking care of plants on top of work and school. Now I started a history podcast and it’s only getting better. Good for your mental health.
Learning languages, reading, jump roping, writing are my hobbies.
that's cool
You seem genuine and not solely money driven. Love that. Keep the great work.
im currently learning the guitar and i must say its feels so good when you play guitar instead of video games
Wow! Thanks! You made me value my hobbies a lot more!
My hobbies:

@@nuclearknives7839 yeah, its a hobby, whats so wrong about it?
Thanks man, i really needed this. Been in the gym for almost a month now and feel great, and doing a course on graphic design for around 3 years now. I think its best to add some reading and writing into my routine. 🙏🏻
Dancing, reading, and jamming the guitar with my pianist friend on the weekend! Sometimes cycling too 😊
I love you broooo, you're making me better 🙌🏻🙌🏻
I literally started my programming journey when I was 10, and now I'm 14 and I learnt 8 programming languages till now
that's great, well done
@@K.S.R_editz Thanks bro

Hey, I'm a professional software dev and I just want to tell you that, while it's great you have interest in programming, you shouldn't focus on learning new languages. Try solving problems on Leetcode and start a few projects. You may already know this, but programming isn't about knowing languages, but more about problem solving and critical thinking.
learning programming languages is a waste of time
physical: XC/TF running, hiking, workout, walking, etc. (I like most sports)
cerebral: reading
creative: drawing, choir, baking, calligraphy
Time to read 500 books guys, if you’re at school, you have many free options on what book you want to read that’s in your school library but when you leave school then you have to buy them with money.
phsyical: football(soccer)
cerebral: programming(I'm learning frontend)
i have to invest creative one
Physical: Karate and basketball
Cerebral: Reading and copywriting
Creative: Cokking
I think these are great hobby's for a 13 year old.
It's actually really helpful since i haven't had time to focus on my self and this will be a great way to glow up in my opinion
:)
I have a lot of hobbies but some of them I dont do as much as others
1. swimming
2. badminton
3. lifting
4. learning languages
5. reading
6. writing
7. drawing
8. playing saxophone
like, drawing takes a lot of energy for me so I dont do it as much
school has made it harder to find time to read and write
and swimming, I only do in the summer bcs Im on a team, and badminton, I only do during spring bcs that when the season is
the funny thing about saxophone is that theres like different seasons for it: summer and fall is for marching band, winter is for pep band and jazz band, and spring is for concert band
so currently, my main hobbies are lifting, learning languages, playing saxophone, and the badminton season is starting up so that too :)
@@Bluebirdie442 Thank you so much, I'll follow your advice. The passion you transmit has really cleared all my doubts!
@gabry6721 you're welcome and good luck!

I'm a girl but here are my hobbies :)

It's a new hobby and the reason I started reading mostly for school to understand thing better cuz mostly when I read I don't understand anything at ALL so I'm working on that.

- Singing
I enjoy singing so much that I sometimes annoy my brother TT
- Makeup
I recently got into makeup and before school I like to do simple makeup like hiding dark circles and doing skincare. I might be experimenting with makeup like doing heavier makeup and trying different applying tehniques.
- Learning languages
I decided to learn Korean to in the future move to Seoul and pursue my career :)
And it's rlly fun learning Korean, and the language is very beautiful.
That's kinda all xd, I'm planning on making studying my hobby cuz I hate studying but I know that I have to study so yeah, I hope I helped someone and gave hobbie ideas, luv y'all!

Cheers Bro, I found your Channel and I am Honestly loving the Content.
One of the best videos I’ve ever watched, good job bro, usefull stuff
this is so inspiring, good job man. thanks
One of the most valiable things anyone can learn is HOW to learn. The proper way, where everything sticks, and you feel like you can learn how to do and master anything. Immediately, you'll feel as tho you can pursue anything you've been wishing to do in your life. Any hobby will be yours
Is lego building is good creative hobbie?
I would think so
Why not?
Absolutely!
From scrolling all the socials media one day I started reading books (self improvement and romance😂) I love to cook, walk a lot! Learning Spanish which is really hard sometimes 😢 sticker by number which is relaxing and childish but I’m doing something more than just being on my phone for all day 🎉
