That is not a plan. This team has to end up with a stud player at three they can’t afford to screw this up. Caleb Williams has shown some brilliance but appears to be quirky & mercurial. He could be a very good QB but we’ll see. I don’t think he’d do well with the pressure of a large media market & rabid fan base like Boston, Philly or here in NY. Daniels & Penix all had great college seasons but have risks. Penix’s injury history is a concern. Now I like Drake Maye but I have to watch more tape on him. Draft analysts & sports journalists rave about Maye’s cannon arm & that he looks the part but don’t go into detail about his scouting. Just because you are a physical specimen & look like a prototypical QB doesn’t mean you possess all of the vital traits of a top QB. Nix & McCarthy are regarded as less ready & need more experience & seasoning i.e. they’re regarded as projects. However if you can draft them in Round 2, they could be worth taking a flyer on. Felger doesn’t know anymore than anyone else. Patriots should slide down to #6-#9 to get additional second and third round picks, and with that slightly lower pick ,go for either offensive tackle Fashanu or Alt or the best WR available whether Marvin Harrison Junior, or Malik Nabers. Drake Maye has not progressed, people need to realize that. There is somebody who has though. They can grab a quarterback, who is probably best suited to play in the NFL right now, U Oregon’s Bo Nix, in the second round, or try to move up if you suspect he’s gone before then. There are other quarterbacks who have a more likely higher ceiling eventually, but he can play now. He makes very few mistakes, and he has great potential to be a franchise quarterback.

I think he thinks Mac is going to end up being starter. QB is not the most important position but protection for the passer. If the QB can't stay on his feet why draft a qb it's just not a good move you're going to throw someone new in there to get beat down just like Zappe and Mac has 😊

Nelson Agholor who we all bashed had a great season with Derrick Carr and catches touchdowns every other week with Lamar Jackson. Great QBs can elevate receivers Brady did it for years. That list is telling! A shooting guard in the NBA can average 20 plus point per game and his team be bad, a baseball player can hit .300 and play for a bad team. A qb has to have an ol that can give him time to throw, rb's need to pick up blitzes, and then the wr's have to run the right route and then catch the ball. A QB has little control over what is going on around him. If the team is bad the qb will be bad, very few exceptions to that rule. If none of the qb's coming out are elite, it may be better to draft other positions. A slow rebuild is probably the best way to go, our offense has very few players that could start for other teams or even make other teams.
They aren't drafting Harrison. If they pass on a QB it will be to draft a LT. I get that everyone sees MHJ has the safest pick, and he might be, but there's too much wrong with this offense for him to be the guy, plus there will be free agent receiver options to lean on if they're willing to spend.
Everyone throws Tee Higgins name around, but it also sounds like Michael Pittman Jr. will at least test free agency before agreeing to any kind of extension with Indy.

Felger doesn’t know anymore than anyone else. Patriots should slide down to #6-#9 to get additional second and third round picks, and with that slightly lower pick ,go for either offensive tackle Fashanu or Alt or the best WR available whether Marvin Harrison Junior, or Malik Nabers.
Drake Maye has not progressed, people need to realize that. There is somebody who has though.
They can grab a quarterback, who is probably best suited to play in the NFL right now, U Oregon’s Bo Nix, in the second round, or try to move up if you suspect he’s gone before then.
There are other quarterbacks who have a more likely higher ceiling eventually, but he can play now. He makes very few mistakes, and he has great potential to be a franchise quarterback.

NO.1 issue is how long do you have to wait to fire the first openly ray cyst coach in NFL history? If there was another before hom I stand corrected.
That list is telling! A shooting guard in the NBA can average 20 plus point per game and his team be bad, a baseball player can hit .300 and play for a bad team. A qb has to have an ol that can give him time to throw, rb's need to pick up blitzes, and then the wr's have to run the right route and then catch the ball. A QB has little control over what is going on around him. If the team is bad the qb will be bad, very few exceptions to that rule. If none of the qb's coming out are elite, it may be better to draft other positions. A slow rebuild is probably the best way to go, our offense has very few players that could start for other teams or even make other teams.
Daniels is mobile and can work with a bad offensive line which the Patriots have. Drafting Maye or Williams would be a disaster.

They aren't drafting Harrison. If they pass on a QB it will be to draft a LT. I get that everyone sees MHJ has the safest pick, and he might be, but there's too much wrong with this offense for him to be the guy, plus there will be free agent receiver options to lean on if they're willing to spend.
