Please tell me, why I should swap my coldwater okumas....I use them with leadcore but will add downriggers next. Just the quietness? I would like some click notification. Tightlines big man, thank you. No really, you look like a powerlifter 😂 I really Luke where you explain the mix of strategies. We are in the finger lakes, but in a 21ft boat, so Ontario bays as soon as we sort that shit out.

what are the defining characteristics of a trolling rod? Can any rod be a trolling rod?

For the most part yes , but there is specialty rods made by , Shimano, okuma & Diawa, for lead core / copper , dipsy divers and then down riggers
