This whole concert was only released just last year as part of the Rocking Heels project and she put the whole concert on TH-cam. This was part of the Wacken festival. Tarja did this performance, and the next day, she did her normal set on one of the proper stages. In this concert she sang a lot of covers (like Linkin Park's Numb and Metallica's Unforgiven), a few of her own songs and Sleeling Sun (Nightwish song). The normal version of I Walk Alone is heavier. I Walk Alone was Tarja's first ever solo single.... so it came out around 2007. It's still one of her biggest hits.
Once again, I totally agree with your review. Like a few other commenters, I prefer her solo work to her Nightwish work, although I enjoy both. Since her departure from NW, she has been able to develop her singing, songwriting and arranging. She has become so versatile. Just consider her three totally different projects released in 2023. Her creativity comes up with ideas that most wouldn’t even dream about let alone try and she makes them work so well. This Rockin Heels album perfectly illustrates this. Never understand those who say she can only sing opera! Try her cover of The Unforgiven from this concert.

I think it allowed her to fully develop as an artist. I like her music, her voice and the thoughts she expresses in the lyrics. She developed her voice a lot after leaving the band and do amazing things with it. I Walk Alone is from her first solo rock album My Winter Storm (2007) and it is also the first rock single released by Tarja after her departure from Nightwish. For her fans, this is one of their most popular songs. She has said many times that it is about them, because they helped her get through a difficult time after being fired from the band. Tarja also calls her fans Winter Storm, in the sense that they surround her and support her. Winter Storm is also the name of her official fan club. This whole concert is amazing. It took place in a small church in Wacken, the day before Tarja's concert at the Wacken Open Air festival. Tarja from Metal Church released the album Rocking Heels: Live at Metal Church last year. The fans there have adopted Tarja as one of their owm. After a few years and feelings cooled off she returen as a rock star to Finland and has been warmly recieved . Her home now is in Marrabella Spain. This show 2016 was invite only under 200 seats. This song was written for her not by her but yes about NW. And her fans. Now Diva is aimed at the old band. So is Anteroom of Death both written by Tarja. During the period where there was ill will. I say that to say if nit friends again they are able to communicate civilly, if frostially. The exceptoon of Marko who is friends again with Tarja. They will share concert dates in Europe and South Amrrica.
Tarja with NW was awesome but Tarja's solo career is on another level!!! This version is a lot softer than the original, is I may suggest try that one next
