I am considering using the single adjustable versions on my '70 Mach 1. The car already has an export brace installed and the QA1 tech that I spoke to informed me that due to the thickness of the export brace there could interference between the QA1 upper shock mounting bracket and the underside of the hood. I'm waiting for him to get back to me with the height dimension of the upper bracket.

      What did he say?

@@jasonbanuelos7569 3.16". In my case it didn't cause any interference with the hood. The export brace I have is stamped steel and about .125" thick. If you are using an aluminum export brace that is thicker you might have a problem. You can use modeler's puddy or balled up aluminum foil to check the amount of clearance between your stock upper mounts & shocks and the underside of the hood and then compare that to the 3.16" height of the QA1 bracket plus the thickness of your export brace. I measured the height of my stock setup as about 2.375" from the top of the shock tower to the top of the shock absorber eyelet.

It seems everyone wants to lower these cars but I already have the shelby drop and hotchkis tubular upper and lower control arms which currently have my front tires tucked slightly which looks stupid as hell on these cars in my opinion. With these coils do you think I could raise the front by 1 inch say from stock just as a base line?

How much taller does the the top piece sit compared to the stock one?

Would this work on a 66 mustang with an inline 6?

We love the double adjustable shocks. We have those on other vehicles as well and can always get them dialed in. Ifyou know the weight of the vehicle (or specifically each corner) you reach out to QA1 and they can help you get the right shock and spring.
