    I think Coogan is one of those people that a lot have people have decided they don't like.Personally, I like the fact that he's not "on" the whole time.I get the impression he is actually a better person than the majority of his peers, and that "Nasty Steve" is as much of a character as Alan Partridge ( who is also an aspect of Coogan, of course).

    I could see envision these two doing a phenomenal British interpretation of American playwright Neil Simon's 'The Odd Couple.' But who would be Oscar and who Felix? I'm seeing Coogan as the former and Brydon as the latter. Yes? No?

      I'm seeing Steve as being the more anal of the two, Rob as more abrasive, sloppy. I like the way you're going with this. But as they say, "And now it's garbage."

      That is a totally brilliant idea. You know that Steve Coogan is absolutely obsessed with Jack Lemmon ? His comedy hero. I know I'm commenting years too late, but let's keep the idea out there...

    No Trip To Paris then, based on Coogan's comments. Where to next, The Trip To America? Not unless they change the subject from great food to great serial killers.

    • @rivolinho
      @rivolinho 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rex Mundi Trip to America would be great. Typical Route 66 cliche, Steve driving a big mustang, great american rock on the radio. Impressions in diners, eating 2lb burgers! Be great!

    • @joostengelsman4755
      @joostengelsman4755 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      An important theme of the Trip series is their love for poetry and literature in the historic context of the places they visit. If I'm wrong correct me, but to proceed this theme, which I think is vitality important for the tone of the series, would be nearly impossible in the Americas because of the lack of it.

    I always cringe when Coogan drops a political comment, which is usually some cliche leftist garbage (such as Farage only having "white friends"). He' a great comic actor, possibly Britain's finest, but he should steer clear of politics because his views are 6th form level.

    • @HuxleyWasRight
      @HuxleyWasRight 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      +Aimee Frost not sure how you extrapolated that from my post but anyway, I hope you got satisfaction from thumbing down my videos. Be seeing you.

      also light to point out the cliched, lazy leftist argument. The only reason you think you lost the brexit vote was because of immigration and race.
      Just shows what naval gazers you are, if that's your only argument. The EU is an autocracy, and as democratic as a banana republic. Obviously wont be enjoying the '£350 million a week', because we havent invoked article 50 yet, and that will take another 2 years to negotiate. Any financial benefits dont happen a month after a vote. You simple minded pleb. You must be new to politics, must have read a footnote in heat magazine i'm assuming? on what samantha cameron was wearing on the day they left number 10...

      my thoughts exactly....shows how dim he actually is....I'm always disappointed when my heroes say something that immediately lowers them in my opinion to...well, as you say, 6th form level, at best....

    • @lukeyraptor6738
      @lukeyraptor6738 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Would hardly associate left wing views with being "6th form level" when it's scientifically proven that they show a higher education and greater intellect...

    • @kianucollis3929
      @kianucollis3929 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Luke Rhoden " scientifically proven, higher education...greater intellect..."....er....do you know what the Prussian " Education " model is....do you know what the difference between education and indoctrination is...( clue: it's the same thing...). Can you provide any links to these " proven facts " please, instead of just vomiting stupid nonsense....? Thanks.
