Congrats to Clemson on the win and the national championship. Congrats to Alabama for another great season. My aunt & uncle were there (my uncle played for CLEMSON in the 60s) & they said Bama fans were already arrogantly celebrating their "win" & taunting CLEMSON fans, even before the clock had run down. Well, THAT certainly changed as soon as Renfrow caught that beautiful pass from Watson in the last few seconds. My aunt & uncle said the Bama fans around them just looked around in shock & embarassment, like they couldn't believe the "mighty Alabama" got beat. The atmosphere then had a complete turnaround. I know my Daddy was cheering on his Tigers from Heaven. I wish he was still here to see his Tigers he loved so much win another Natty. 🥰🧡💜🧡
I had to work Mid shift this night and I made my way to work right after the Howard score. I remembering thinking it was over. Even though the score was manageable, Alabama had dominated this game through three quarters. I couldn’t believe what I saw when I finally got to work and they had the game on. The most intense four minutes in football for me. I had been a Clemson fan for a very long time. So many losing seasons and seasons with wasted potential, but they had a real chance this time.
Anyone notice Christian Wilkins tackling Bo in the endzone on that first TD? Thats a big boy, 25 yards away from the line of scrimmage, chasing a running back all the way to the end. Wilkins is one of a kind man, I swear.

Three bad things for me with this game (Clemson Fan here since birth). 1) I was by myself in Idaho watching it. 2) I was on the phone with my Dad on the lasr drive and he had a delay so I had to keep my emotions in check. 3) Clemson won amd I had noone to celebrate with. Made up for it the next Championship Game they won. My family and I were there.

Everyone knows that. So what do teams do? They stack the box to eliminate the run, and dare kelly to pass the ball, which more times than not, results in an incompletion. Deshaun Watson could run AND throw dimes, so we would’ve still scored enough points to stay on top and our defense would’ve prevailed.

mark smith still would’ve lost probably. The only reason clemson lost round 3 was the fact that kelly Bryant, although he’s an amazing athlete, can’t throw accurately over 10 yards to save his life. Everyone knows that. So what do teams do? They stack the box to eliminate the run, and dare kelly to pass the ball, which more times than not, results in an incompletion. Deshaun Watson could run AND throw dimes, so we would’ve still scored enough points to stay on top and our defense would’ve prevailed.
