    All I could think of when you were drilling the holes into floor was 'Did he look under under the van to see what's there?'. Nothing like drilling through the gas tank or wiring loom!

      I did a decent site survey down there, but I was an inch off on my measurements. It was an easy fix, just a bit time consuming. I’m generally pretty careful, but…. Stuff happens sometimes. Lol

    If you turned the bikes around, the bed will be able to lower past the handlebars and rest above the seat

      Good idea but very awkward to load bikes backwards

    Liking it. I can send some pictures of my moto van set up that I've been building out. Can sleep 3 so far, 3 bikes and a pit bike.

    Hey well done for the fitting of the bike just right. Would you think about having the bike facing out instead of in so the bed can fit below the handle bar. I was thinking about having a swivel bed so it could be easy to reverse the motorcycle in the van and then lower the bed and should give me just shy of a 3FT space off of which I need to subtract the thickness of the bed base and mattress. What do you think of this?
    In any case, wishing you guys a wonderful adventure full year

    Nice. I Have a bed.. currently loading from the side door backwards..pain in the butt. going to try a self setting holeshot device to compress the forks, then load the bike from the rear

      Holeshot device is slick idea.

    Tight on length… what if you get a longer bike? Nice video, thank you.

      Luckily every bike we’ve shoved in there has fit! There’s probably a couple inches to spare really, especially if we really cinch the bike down in the front.

    Great job thanks for the video! Do those bike chalks rattle driving when a bikes not loaded? I’m a weirdo when it comes to rattles!

      If you really tighten up the hinge points well they’re pretty quiet. 🤫

    awesome setup! have you seen the bike mount that locks onto the pegs? it's amazing because they ratchet down, one on each peg. and it takes total of 3 seconds to secure the bike and no straps or hooks to deal with.

    Holy mackle!! Mike despite the box-frame debacle, you must have been #1 in kindergarten cutting 🤣 I bet not bad in measuring either...and just think, as your tires wear, you'll have even more room to close the rear doors 🤔 I have a whole theory about Kia drivers, but it probably does not apply to you ....
    Love this build, thanks for the vid

    bro u didnt build a moto van, you just cover the floor and install two stand/holders. still nice holders idea with flat floor when its closed.

    Yes, a Kia Soul is a girls car. I’d judge you if I saw you driving it in public.

      Our daughter has a turbo one. Its pretty peppy. Sister in law has one. My bro takes it for bidding jobs because its good on gas. He said he was pretty impressed with it. Not much maintenance and lots of miles.

    Are these recessed chocks sturdy enough for a heavy cruiser?

    Put the bikes on an external stand then you have all the internal space you can dream of.

    Should have gone with a Pitbull TRS for the bike mount system

    • @PlushEnduro
      @PlushEnduro  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’d love a better system than tie downs and old school wheel chocks, but none of the other options compress the front suspension down. I need that extra room gained from the compressed forks, for the bunk area above.

    • @ralpho4942
      @ralpho4942 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Super late comment, but would a quick release front wheel work like it does with a bicycle? It takes practice but taking off a front wheel is fast as hell. Then again that's more work, but atleast forks won't be compressed long.
      Who knows. Love the vids
