I've been playing with this driver for a month or two. I only swing around 97 mph. I have no issues hitting this club. It's not a low spin head with the weight in the back. Rarely does this driver come off with low spin and fall out of the sky. Love that there aren't any distracting crown markings. Love the neutral to square look. Solid feeling.
@2ndswing idk what callaway did with this thing but it just doesn't want to go sideways. It's not super fast or super low spin..just really consistent in all.aspects. It's not going to wow anyone in a fitting but on course it just performs.
I feel ya, I play the ST Max LS and I asked callaway - Johnny Wonder if this driver was the same idea like the Max LS and he said absolutely not, totally different. I don’t see how they are different in the sense of approach. Forgiveness + low spin lol. I’m torn between trying this and trying the TD
This is the first callaway driver that looks like the amazing Callaway GBB SZ which was an amazing driver. Shame stock shaft is S and not the denali Black X (UK option)
Holy (Ai) Smokes! This looks fantastic. I'm currently gaming the Epic Speed driver and just didn't see what I wanted in the Paradym or Ai Smoke lineup but this thing looks like it just might be the ticket.
I would say it depends on the numbers for you. From personal experience, the max had my spinrate wayyyy to high sitting over 3700+. The TD was just a tad too low on spinrate, just sub 2k. The stock weighted TD max is perfect around 2300-2600. When I swap the weights, my spinrate climbs to 3000-3500.
Not sure if you are aware but Callaway has a buyback/trade in program if you want to swap out the regular TD for the TD max. All you have to do is order the new one directly from Callaway and they will email you a return label for your other one. They will then give you $600 credit on the one you send back so basically you can get the new one for just the tax difference. I originally wanted the TD max but they said it didn’t test all that well with the pros so it wasn’t made available. Then lo and behold a few months later it came out. Anyway all is not lost if you want to do the upgrade. I did it and the process is very easy so if you want the new one I’d go for it..
@@Tom-ok2rh thanks for the heads up. I actually got my current driver because they are sold out on the callaway website for the max. I traded in my old driver and 3 wood for the 💎 driver/3 wood. It’s a great deal
I have the standard max.. and I'm truly sorry they came out with this late!! That's so wrong to the triple diamond owners!! They should give all people who bought the AI smoke triple diamond the option to trade in to get the new diamond max
I recently got fitted for the triple diamond and now that i watch this video I'm thinking of ordering the triple diamond max because i need all the forgiveness i can get. What do you think? The thing is i need a more fade biased driver. What is the bias on this driver? Thanks
Thanks for watching! This one does not necessarily have a bias. Truly designed to keep the ball straight and with low spin. You could likely create some of that fade bias you're looking for through the adjustable hosel and lie angle changes. The TD Max is certainly much more forgiving than the standard triple Diamond
What is this nonsense, releasing this outside the rest of the lineup however many months later? Got fit into a new driver a few months back that I'm not 100% happy with. Would have loved to hit this coming from the ST Max LS. Can't really justify buying a driver every few months.

Love to hear this!
This driver does that in course too. This driver is phenomenal.
Truly seems like it has the best parts of the Triple Diamond and the Max in one driver

Did he put the heavy weight in the front in this video
I am still playing the Rogue ST Max LS, it has been the most consistent driver I have ever owned. The TD Max would be a driver I would like to try.

@@andrewreis4049same here. A test TD vs TD Max is needed!

Just wondering, if you put the heavy weight back making it more forgiving, are you better off just getting the max model?

Happen to know the average head weight? I’m looking to build a 44.5” driver but want to stay near D3-D4
I can’t wait for next season when I feel like I have to upgrade ai smoke 🔹🔹🔹
The New Mavrik Sub Zero!
I have the standard 💎 and I wish I could have got this. The fade bias face isn’t my favorite
This thing is fantastic. And to your point, doesn't have that sneaky fade bias that the standard TD does

I need that footprint but i need spin. Me and Rocco.
They needed to make an 8 degree head.
What shaft?

Why use range balls??? Lmao
Unfortunately it's the most practical way for us to test outdoors
Why don't we have the trajectory? These are so unentertaining videos..
