Good information and well presented, but for jaysus sake are TEAGASC advisors immune to 💩 or what, those plastic udders with steel legs aren't a true reflection of what actually happens in a parlour. Yes I agree that hygiene is key but give us a live demonstration of what happens in a real scenario and then we'l see how clean his lovely wet suit is when he's finished. They love theory but ask them to implement all that in a live scenario and it could be all so different
I do stretches before milking, set up and bring cows in, the less time cow has to be in dairy the better not just cell count but feet. I don’t wear gloves but I should when dealing with sick herd, I use hand sanitizer after touching sick cow. I believe hosing milking cups and having milking system tested will reduce teat damage. How many times have farmers not replace milk liners, slipping n cups not milking cow out? Getting rid of high cell count cows as they past on infection.
