Your Void Talons look great. It's a shame grey knights aren't true scale because I think your boys would look awesome if they all had the grey knight helms like your terminator captain does.
The Necromunda game was doomed from the start. I don't think the DM knew anything about the setting. Why would you allow people from other gangs, and cops into the same group. Why would you ever leave Necromunda in the first place
13:01 id probably only do tyranids, OR necron/tyranid hybrids, where they are borged out bugs, redesigns so they are “critters holding guns they are grown into” but more like megaman or Metroid where their limbs terminate in the weapons. The lore would be a mix of tyranid and necron lore and would straight be the Replicators from Stargate mixed with the Flood from Halo (my space marines are Spartan coded, my tau are Covenant Coded)
Took a break from 40K after not being able to attend a tournament in the spring. With the drop of Deathwatch as a dedicated force...yeah Agents are cool but I'm still a bit hurt. About to convert over all my Primaris but not set of custom chapter or Black Templars... either way it's good to be back to watching Hobby Nightmares knowing there are far worse situations that could happen. Just needed that spark to get back into the hobby and I'm ready to dedicate my Saturday to painting
The Necromunda campaign sounds like it was gonna go to all kinds of places, but having crazy players is always bad. One thing I don't like is when people mod DnD and change it completely rather than play with all the wonderful and varied Warhammer 40k TTRPG systems. Guys, if you are willing to put in all the time and effort for converting the Dragon game into a Spaceman game, you have time and energy to put into learning a new system. Please don't waste your valuable hobby time reinventing the wheel, when there is a jetbike available. If you want grimdark detective horror, there's Dark Heresy. If you want space exploration and a level of freedom like in DnD, there's Rogue Trader. If you want action and miniature heavy battles with supersoldiers, there's Deathwatch. For military action thriller, there's Only War. For power gaming and murderhoboing, there's Black Crusade. All of the above employ basically the same system so it means that when you learn one, you've learned all of em. And you can kinda mix and match characters from it, but it gets a little wonky with all the different power-levels. For a game that was designed to actually be a mix of all of the above but with a different system that is heavy on the action, there's Wrath and Glory, which I'm told is a very fine game. I haven't had the chance to try out Imperium Maledictum but the company who produced it said that they wanted to be a spiritual successor to Dark Heresy, so there's that. With all these options on the table, the only reason I would pick DnD as a system over any of them is If I had LAZY players who didn't wanna switch and "learn a new system". Don't make the mistake of wasting your time for assholes who don't give a shit. Don t do it.
A lot of those games are kind of hard to track down to be fair, I played a bit of wrath and glory and it was fun but a bit cumbersome to run with a larger group, I ended up switching to stars without number (which I already reskinned once for a star wars campaign) and with a few tweaks to weapons and some character background generation tables I wrote up it has been running pretty well. I get to run this game very rarely due to everyone's work and school schedules being erratic, so a snappy d6 system I was already familiar with suits me much better than a feat heavy d100 system. I'm a fairly experienced DM so monster generation is something I'm pretty good at eyeballing anyhow. Shout out to stars without number btw, it's a rock solid game system.
Thanks for reading my story! Sorry for the higgledy-piggledy bits. I wrote that story a while ago. Again, apologies, forgot to proofread some bits. The channel is great! Keep it up, dude! Edit: Sorry about the images not sending, must be a problem on my end. Thanks for the advice!
Just thought I'd pop in and recommend checking out the Maledictum TTRPG. I think it would suit your campaign style and it's a pretty easy one for newer players to pick up!
This is why a player like me, in a setting like this carries C4 i can pack into clothing. With a remote detonator. "I open fire on the party!" "Click" "boom"
I rather enjoyed this rendition of 'My Personal Game Session Escapades with Problematic Strangers, Bad Friends, and Stupid Antics '. Another blow by blow account of someone else's boring adventures in gameland. At least compose it like an episode of Community to keep it interesting. Was there a problem or a nightmare presented as part of this? I can't tell. I fell asleep. Talk about jackin that playback speed up to 2x.
You actually have the time spare to not only comment this inane statement, but to come back and edit it. Dude. The content is not for you. Bravo. Leave.
Man, give me a break. I'm just joking because you keep reading these stories from folks that drone on and on about dice roll to dice roll, but seemingly take forever, if at all, to make their point. It's worse when watching it live and can't jump ahead. There have been times you even admitted the person isn't making a point and skipped ahead. Increasingly, it seems the stories are being read out verbatim when it's just blow by blow game session details and nothing more. ----- And for editing. Lol, sue me for trying to correct errors in punctuation and spelling, especially within the little box YT gives for comments on the phone app.
Very nice painting on your Knights sir! I really like the purple! Very nice work North!
I was just about to type out the exact same thing

More hobby nightmares for a pleasant evening with a cold one
That first story reminds me of one of the Nottingham buildings.

The school boys letter was really nice

Astral blades are looking awesome! Very cool and grimdark 🤘
Here's my tip for taking better model pictures;
Plain white background, well lit area, DO NOT use flash
Nice looking mini's, North!

I don't know what to comment
I need a better camera, I have a samsungi galaxy S8 :( getting on a bit.
Damn, the DnD GM sounds insufferable.
