    I'll be honest, this one caught me off guard when I first played it, not knowing how to set up the termite nest. Thankfully I managed to figure out the mechanics quickly on round 2. Didn't really figure out how the termite resistance bar really worked. Like, I know it goes up when you knock out/kill an ant, but does killing a medic increase it more? How much does it go up killing a recuperated unit?
    I also think this was the first time I had put termites in multiple control groups.

      Was a nice surprise to play as termite. They work pretty similarly to leafcutters, having other castes for certain jobs. And it does seem like different ants killed change the score. Seems like it’s based on the ant’s score. (Each creature has a score that totals at the victory screen)

      And yes, using multiple markers for termites is needed. Better to have the soldiers on a different group from the major workers, since you don’t want the soldiers to gather (their gathering value is terrible)

    I will say this, i have done this mission without the challenge active (the emperor scorpion) but adding a unique challenge, 'not digging out a shortcut to the nest entrance, meaning my termites all have to take the LONG ASS WALK around that semi-circle you start with... and i found some interesting tech to make this mission so much easier, given my dumbass with my self-imposed challenge, and interesting builds that makes this mission interesting/difficult/easy depending on how you do it
    mind you, you don't have to dig out the shortcut but regardless if you do or not...
    If you go the 'preferred' route of leveling up your major workers to level 2, build extra worker majors, get them to level 2 (about 3-4 more plus the ones you start with, and then start excavating the standard ant chamber of 19 tiles, and start making minor workers you can powerspeed your economy if you micromanage and avoid engaging the earwigs. From there you have two choices and whatever you build/focus on will allow diff strategies.
    If you focus on the Minor Soldiers you can get a lot of them about 19 by the morning of day 2 (when you get attacked) and additional ones if your quick/efficient enough at harvesting, and especially if you have at least 10 more worker minors. If you choose to go Major Soldiers, you'll only have about maybe 9-10 if your as efficient/quick, but both methods can deal with the first assault from the matabele with diff results.
    If you go the minor soldiers, you'll suffer casualties, a lot of them, and while you won't kill as many if your in enough numbers you can get about enough so that the northern colony will be attacked and then you. If you however go the major soldiers, you 'must' get about 10 with food reserves or else you won't survive, but if you go majors, their high hp and ability to speed up attacks of allies will kick in and rip the matabele, and if you lure them into your nest you can bottleneck them so they can't all attack at once, and slowly take em out in small batches (something that annoyed me when i tried fighting them, being bottlenecked but in reverse) and the major's power kills enough matabele so that you have 2 waves of space to prepare for the next assault
    while the tunnel cavern technique (not digging otu a shortcut from your worker majors to the tunnel entrance) is a long path, it 'will' allow you to bottleneck them as said, and again depending on what you go for, this can be a boon.
    the MAJOR problem i encounter however, is when they enter the nest they'll often attack my termite minor workers who are trying to get food to eat and then deposit as fungus. One thing i did was dig out a new area to the 'right' of where your fungus storage is, specifically where those mini earwigs sit and build a food storage/drop off area there. It takes my workers a while longer to deposit it, but during raids i'm able to protect my minor workers and they can do their jobs safely, while the soldeirs go and get themselves massacred and sacraficed to the matabele feeding table. This way my minor workers don't accidentally keep wasting food trying to run through the melee trying to get food and rinse/repeating, and instead can safely get their food, digest, and replant eggs during the raid.

      Yep, a pretty good strat indeed. As for the final one, where the termite minor workers get killed trying to get more dead leaf, you can always turn off digesting for them to make them focus on nest work only.

    Aslo you noticed they buff the bigheaded Major soldiers and achievements are posible now in New game plus?

      @NappyB1  7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      yep! I still see the bigheaded majors as bad; they need a pretty big boost to make them worth it. Or nerf the workers. And yes, achievements can be done on NG+. I've done all of them before, just waiting for 5.x achievements.

    Why do you always disable enemy mounting? Is it less effective?

    • @NappyB1
      @NappyB1  7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Stuff with flashbuffs (army ant major and termite major soldier) cannot apply their buffs if they are mounted. Other ants with abilities such as confusion, physical reduction or DOT cannot it either when mounted. Its best to keep a few units on the ground. If you have a ton of spare units, you can make them mount.

    One bad thing is i can"t complete the 3.2 imposible challenge the achievemnt that you have to collect all llaves bc 30 food are bug next to a Pink flower at the top right not able to collect
