I used to come here to see the apartments, now I’m here for Cash’s clever commentary on the neighborhood.....
I like this apt it has charm fireplace French doors balcony. But I wonder if you can climb down your fire escape from your balcony can someone climb up to your balcony and try to get into bedroom door.
Make sure you have more than 1400 budget . Tried to get apt through cash one of his “associates “ returned my text with , 😀👍 how many rooms and what’s your budget . I said studio-1 bd 1400 budget . Needless to say that’s the last text I received 🤷🏾♂️

I live in a shoebox sized apartment in San Francisco and like to come watch videos of shoebox sized apartment in NY for some reason. I really like this one, I'd move here.

I live in a shoebox in Toronto and prices have gone down here so much in the past year that I can move into a bigger place for a lower price. Definitely a good market for renters. Not so good for landlords or the macroeconomy as a whole though.

This apartment really speaks to me. Not only is it in a great area near the Intrepid, but it has so much character. Real thought was put into making this apartment a home. Love it!

Hello from Pittsburgh PA! I spent the day at the Intrepid Museum with my son and mother. It is huge! It even survived bombing attacks! There is also a submarine to explore. You need a full day to explore! Lots of history. There are parking garages nearby a block or two. We went one day when vacationing in Avalon NJ.
It has everything I want. Balcony, island in the kitchen, some separation between the bedroom and other areas. Great price!

I love the wood and brick accents in the apartment! The balcony with the vine growing nearby is great. Not a bad view either! Great apartment overall. Also, you're funny to listen to.
I live in Oregon.... in a town of 50 ish..... on a cattle ranch...... but I am addicted to these videos of cool old brick city apartments. 😊

I live in Canada and this is my observation. I miss New York City and cannot wait to spend some vacation time there after this pandemic subsides. Love the sunshine on a winter day in the City!

I love it one of the best layouts I’ve seen for one person. I’m the type that would walk from the east side to the west side everyday for exercise rather than train it so the bike path is a bonus.

The layout reminds me a lot of my current apartment, that I pay ~$460 a month. But I live in the middle of Ohio, sooo that explains the price difference lol
My modest 3 bedroom house costs $530/monthly mortgage payment in NW Ohio. I like visiting big cities, but I'm not interested in the financial struggle and lack of green space

"fire escape material" LOL This is a pretty cute little place. I love the fire place. There's not a lot of room for office/work space, but I could probably make room in a corner in the bedroom...I may have to use the foot of the bed for my chair...but hey, at this price, I think it'd be worth it!

The park was a parking lot in the early years... gosh the sav-mor on the corner, the Irish bar, the butcher shop...yep...I remember, and Sullivan had nothing on the old bakery down 47th St in the early 60's and not the Cuban one on 9th ave... Also pozzos bakery... Yes the good old days...

Very nice apartment and the location is great. I don't know about the view from the balcony but you can't have everything. However, it's a big plus if there are no rats. So this apartment deserves a thumbs up!
This is exactly the apartment I would want if I moved back to NYC!. My last place was at 171 w 23rd and I paid 850 a month...way back in 1981.
I think this would be a great space for a single person! I'd def put a chair out on that little balcony, as the view isn't bad.

One thing I don't like about a lot of New York apartments is that the hallways leading to the apartments are often dark and dreary and depressing. So even if the apartment is great, the hallway can still lower your spirits. That isn't the case here. The apartment itself is great, perfect for one person or a couple. Bathrooms have really gotten much nicer over the years, too.

When you find and show medicine cabinets and sink sprayers, I laugh. You remind me of a child on Christmas morning who has opened wanted they asked Santa for.
When the Clash played the pier in 1982, after the show many kids jumped into the Hudson River and swam around the Intrepid. Those punks! Such fun on a hot summer night, eh?

Charming little flat. Not terrible. The only compromise is the lack of dining space. It will go quickly. The balcony and the look out to the other flats makes me think of Rear Window...
It might be different now but in 2012 I thought Times Square was pretty fun. It was a great place to people watch.

I am not at ALL familiar with this area, but it seems livable. Sullivan St bakery is good for sure and a little French-ish bistro (pronounced “luh pree VAY”) with not a particularly inviting name. The Deli looks viable. $1900 is not bad.
Nice apartment for one person and close to Hudson River Park. Traffic at rush hour is overwhelming though. Also good restaurants one block east on 9th Ave.

This is just.... stupendous! I love that neighborhood! Only two blocks from the Actor's Temple. And the setup is so sweet - really homey. There's a really good Edward Burns movie that happens more or less exactly where that spot is.
The light, the brick, the resonance of pre-warness, the layout, the charm, the nearness to Al Jolson's spiritual home! Bona fide.
And I believe your new office suits you, you seem very relaxed.

The building could be fined if you block a fire escape window with an ac. Since the reno looks fairly new, may as well have added the ac cutout to avoid that altogether.
