I love this guy very much! He’s the reason why I stay away from problems and avoid shit always . We don’t have to go through everything in life in order to experience the worst. Let’s just open our ears when such people speaks then we may be safe. I am a young 26 year old that made it out of the Cape living in Thailand teaching it would be cool to share some experiences and perspective. Love you all
i"ve seen a few youtubers advertise manscaped but you've done it with so much flair that i might just have to get it for my brother. keep up the great work. i've been binging your show lately and its wonderful to witness your growth! congradulations
Turner, I used to see in my hood a lot man, not really going to mention where I'm from, but when I first saw this man as a kid I was scared shitless. Lots of gang members used to reside in our area after prison as they'd get like assistance directly after release. It's good to know that you're fixing shit man.
Josh you doing a really good Job with this podcast, no one can take this way from you, Let's look into more in depth of the broader Cape Coloured people, District Six stories need more attention, Our history is not being told,There is the Cape Khoi and SAN people, We have so many stories to tell the world, they say the coloured people is a race of raped aftermath, I can't and won't tell you what to do and how to run your Podcast never, like I said you doing a very good job no one did take this initiative my brother keep on doing this. The coloured community is much more then just Gangsterism, Benny McCarthy coming from a dangers community, this is also part of our stories, I'm from Eersteriver me and my friends started a online radio station called Radio Eersteriver, there is so much more of the coloured people that is hidden, the Cape Flats have so many stories, and Turner thank you my brother for the change you make in the whole of the Cape Flats with your story we need you more then ever AND MOST important we need to protect you as the coloured community. thank you Josh. 💯💞
He seems like a good person deep down. Imagine who he could have been & what he might have achieved if he wasn't born into gang life. It kinda proves that these people are not born bad, they are created by circumstance....
Forgiveness is spoken very well in this interview and his sincerity could be felt when he spoke of his sorrows living such a life and to receive the gift of being forgiven when face to face with the holder who can free you of such chains. Beautiful podcast. Thank You Mr. Adams for allowing this raw view of the inside.
I'm shocked that this video doesn't have a lot more views, you've earned yourself a new subscriber I'm myself 🙂 keep doing what you're doing my friend....
Turner "Numbers book" needs his own show. Been following him since Four Corners. Such a brutal introduction with the 28 general promotion spoken in sebela language cerimony. There's is no other gang in the world that can match the symbolic manners than the numbers gang. I would like to know a little more on the 27s
Spot on prediction. 12 days ago: _"After Rasta it will be another coloured reformed gangster. If not, then some corny uncultured coloured, maybe an entrepreneur or something._ _You know coloureds also were also active during Apartheid right?_ _There are coloured personalities that had been on Robben Island. I mean ffs, is there really no more to coloureds than gangsters and former gangsters?"_
Nevertheless, a podcast about someone who overcame a lot(not minimizing his negative impact- which is major) and became a person who uplifts his community surely can't be a bad thing.
Oh ok , I thought u liked the HIM . 😆 , I just found your podcast a week ago and have been binging bcos I miss Cape town alot since I moved to Turkey last yr. It's nice to hear South African s again.
One day a guy robbed me ,i made a case..he got arrested & i told my Coloured cousin in prison he is coming to jail..and i send him kfc.and a wig ,with lipstick. He came out gay, lesson learned.
Another nifty trick On Standard Bank you just change the pin you created for instant money you created and the person won't be able to access the money. It's free
I would like to know, as a inmate who has been sodomized and considered a "wyfie" could that individual become a "number" if yes, would history of that individual being sodomized have an affect on him rising up the ranks or would that individual forever be sodomized with the prison system?
Prison gang members such as the 28 is notoriously know to seek out non gang members called a "frans" someone who has no gang ties or does not belong to any of the numbers gang...a new inmate or convicted fellon is then approached buy a numbers gang member who will intimidate the non gang member by telling them to stab a rival gang member or a warden office in order for you to get initiated into the gang....the new prison member can decide if he does not want to do the ritual but will be regarded as weak and will be thus in most instances made a wifey...you can decide not to join the numbers gang and be with the non numbers gang as i said the "frans" but than you wil have to pay with money for your protection to the numbers gang not to be forced into a gang...the prison system only works one way and that is if you do what the numbers gang tell you then you will rise fast to the top of the ranks...and just like Adam turner said in the interview the gang leader will tell one of his subordinates to victimize someone as an act of punishment its part of 28 numbers gang rules the 28's are know as ("nongolosa")they have a sexual appetite for other men which makes them feel more inferior
You should never ask a convict if his back doors have been broken bru, or ask if he's gay because of gang politics, you are putting yourself in dangerous territory, you would be targeted for your arse gaurenteed 💯%, you would be 🚋🚋🚋🚋 tracked bru, & asking questions like this you would be ☠️ game over....broken spinterd broom handle pushed 🍩 into your stomach, learn what questions to ask bru frfr....I'm not being harsh on you bru, just honest, I've watched you grow though your post's. But trust me, sometimes I cringe @ the question's you ask, I salute you trying & being a former addict (substance unknown) but your trying bru, but somethings you can't ask, but you have to crawl before you can run.. 🙏🏼 Amen. ✌🏼✊🏼...

You can be a 26 year old. That's fine. Just don't be a member of the 26 gang! Don't you even dare start a numbers gang over there!
Uncle Turner needs to write an autobiography. He’s a beacon of hope for communities in SA that are ravaged by gangsterism.
Legend I respect him so much
Episodes with Turner are always so entertaining.
Uncle Turner is really a Uncle we all need
