I agree with everything but the music, as a music creator it makes sense when you have orchestra hits to invoke excitement and crystal and tubular bell instruments to invoke the "snowy" theme.
As an up-and-coming game designer/developer, this is pretty much what I had in mind for Sky High Sundae revision! I didn't go to the extent you did, however, I just knew that with even a few extra turns, its layout could still fit MKT while being fun in 8DX! Absolute respect, my man.
Not having a Rocky Road reference is SUCH a missed opportunity from the original track I am screaming This would be a phenomenal custom track to one day bring to life, it has a super fun and unique to drive layout. I had my own idea of giving the track a more roller-coaster feel, twisting around itself and having a loop de loop twist around, and I think this was more aesthetically creative and fitting. I love your Rocky road mountain and extending the diner concepts.

I'd love to see you try your hand at redoing the Tour GBA remakes, giving them actual Ribbon Road/Cheese Land-esque remakes rather than the dumbed-down layouts we got. I feel Sky Garden and Sunset Wilds need their due justice!

You know how there are Mii suits you can get with amiibo in MK8DX? Some of those Mii suits contain entirely different series, such as Pikmin, Kirby, Megaman, and a few more. If you have the suits, and your have the series, You should have The Karts, Tires, Gliders, and obviously... The TRACKS! I've made a couple of ideas myself, but I think that you could show your ideas with the creativity you have, and your drawing skills too!

as a guy who puts sky high sundae as my #1 track, thank you for making it so much better! i've always felt a wonderful thing from this track, and for some reason i feel connected to this track emotionally. it's really fun in my opinion

This is super late so maybe you know by now, but if you hop onto the gliding ramp at the beginning it’s a lot more consistent to get the trick. It’s still ridiculous that the ramp doesn’t work normally though. (Also same for the section right before the wafers. You can trick off the fudge ramp, I noticed you didn’t)
Sky High Sundae is easily bottom 5 tracks in the game, and the 2nd worst in the pass IMO (Toad's Circuit beat it). This redesign looks great, and I'd love to see redesigns of other underwhelming tracks such as Tokyo Blur and New York Minute. Tokyo was a massive disappointment, and New York City could've been done way better as well with more to offer in it's scenery, and cooler, more dynamic route layouts like the later city tracks. Both tracks feel way too small as well. Keep up the great work!
I don't hate the original infact it makes me feel happy just by looks alone but I also like your idea too. I personally really like the music of the original, it's very chaotic, energetic and exciting.
I agree with alot of what you said except the music part. Especially after saying that it puts the other songs remixes from the cup to shame. when all Mushroom Gorge got was an added guitar. I've honestly been listening to the song all day. its very fast paced. the drums and bass go hard. and the violins are raring to go. love it!
I’ve gotta say the music is great, I hard disagree on that point. The bass player is absolutely grooving out the whole time, and there’s these cool percussive bell sounds throughout that give the entire thing a more cold and magical feeling. The contrast between the punchy little piano hits that feel very “retro” and high string melody that really adds to the “high in the sky” feeling, with super low sounds like timpani to make the whole thing feel more grand and a bass part that feels just as intense and chaotic as the course is meant to be, make this song great IMO. In fact I can easily imagine alternate variations of this song for the new parts of the course you came up with, which I think is a testament to how cool and unique they are! During the rocky road section I imagine the timpani and bass becoming even more prominent as the violin melody goes away, instead being replaced with a lower viola or cello solo which would give that section a really “jaunty” feeling, while when you go into the diner, I imagine the intense bass would be kept (as a consistent design idea throughout the song) but the focus would shift to an electric piano or keyboard melody, maybe with a funky guitar accompanying, to give a really 80’s diner sort of vibe, maybe even with an effect to sound like it was played through a jukebox. Overall I think your idea for the track is perfect though, the diner aesthetic is sick and expanding on it is a great idea. The rocky road and second floor fridge ideas are genius and I can imagine being super fun to drive, and I agree the ice cream ramp is easily the best part of the original so I’m glad you kept it!

This is really good, you should make more RMX Course concepts like an RMX course based on the SNES Koopa Troopa Beach’s or SNES Bowser Castles
Or in other GBA tracks that are on the simpler side, like Yoshi Desert and Cheep Cheep Island.
