The Walton episodes got me through a rough time with Covid in 2020. Thank you Judy for being a sister though your channel. You will never know all the good you have done.♥️
@judynorton2598 I was gonna say the same thing The Waltons were it's such a laid back cool down to earth show it has definitely got me also through some Lonely times especially during Covid era , God bless 🙌 you Judy your a wonderful actor & wonderful person sending Big Warm Hugs 🫂 🤗
Yes, Covid was a bad time for us all. Watching shows like The Waltons, did help being home. I’m retired and enjoy being home but, I knew I could always get in my car and go places. When you can’t leave, that’s bad. My health and age made me stay home. Now, I pick and choose which episodes I really enjoy. I hope you continue your channel! You have so many interesting things to tell. 😊
Thanks for your dedication to the program. Your knowledge and incite is so interesting. I still love the show and find it hard to believe I am actually able to talk directly to Mary Ellen. Wishing you a blessed and healthy 2025.
The best thing that came out of the whole COVID shutdown was this channel! Thank you Judy for the past 4 years of the wonderful stories about The Waltons and the various guest stars popping up from time to time. Happy 2025!
I was recently watching a 90s British comedy called As Time Goes By with Judi Dench and she referenced The Waltons. I love that The Waltons is iconic around the world 😊
Judy, I appreciate that you started this channel as a way to interact with your fans. Oftentimes you could go through your entire life and really never meet the people that you watch on TV and that's to be expected. But it's neat when somebody like yourself is okay with reaching out and allowing others to reach back. Thank you for this.❤
Henry Winkler is the most.down to earth person. My nephew lives and works in New York and Henry Winkler came in to were he worked ( it was for a book publishing company) Henry sat down and had a lovely conversation with my nephew. Addressing him by name and took the time to talk to him first. He said he was the nicest person
Awesome i think the Waltons can’t be Groked -CBS lawyers imo. ABC yup U can Grok it. Also 85 million set to be replacked woth new Robotnik where Silverdome got turn dahn n built new AMZ facili.
Thank you Judy! The Waltons, Little House on the Prairie, Leave it to Beaver, Andy Griffith….and the such is all that I will watch. Wholesome Family, good morals. I don’t watch main stream Media either. I love all your stories. Happy New Year!🎉
Judy, I love watching you. I'm thrilled to know that the cast was truly a family. I remember my mom always commented every time that John (Ralph Waite) was in his longjohns how she would love to be Olivia!!! I didn't get it, but I'm 62 now and I totally get it!!
I remember when you began this during COVID. I really appreciated it then and still do now. I think I have seen every one and always enjoy them. Thank you so much! 😊
Judy you bring The Walton's to a whole new younger and us older audience. We love to see and hear all the stories ,pictures and your insight . Thanks so much for everything❤
Well I have been subscribed since almost day one Judy and cannot believe its been 4 years going into year 5 soon. You are providing something that all your fans love and love and respect you for it. I am subscribed to almost 30 channels but I can tell you now, yours is occupying the number 1 spot Judy and I honestly cannot see any other channel changing that! Thank you for todays segment and your continued support Judy and best wishes as always from your waltonian superfan in a cold, drab and murky England😉
Judy, always good to have your channel twice a week. You must get Ralph on, if you can, on a weekend. His memory is incredible and I know he probably has an almost infinite number of stories to share. I LOVE having that living legend on. It's a gift to us all!
I appreciate you doing this for us, I look forward to Monday and Thursdays, thank you, Judy! I have to mention something to you that's not really a question, but every time I hear it, it makes me smile, when Miss Emily says "you betcha you know"! I'm from Minnesota and I thought that was just a Minnesota saying! I think we get kind of teased about that. It's funny when I hear her say that!
I really enjoy watching and listening to your videos about the Walton's keeping the memories of the series alive along with interviews with the surviving cast members, guest performers and people behind the scenes also reliving the 70's and 80's which were my years as a kid and teenager take care and I hope you have a very nice Happy New Year in 2025 Thanks Judy.🎆🥳👋🎆
Hi! Judy, Thank you for the Segments and Guests from the past Waltons series on! It was a Treat 2024! Happy New Year to You and Family and can't wait for next year 2025 Segments!❤🙏😁👍
Hello Judy. I am so happy that I happened across your podcast one day. With nothing much worth watching anymore, this is really a bright spot. Thank you for all the information. Looking forward to what you have coming in 2025. Have a safe and Happy New 🎉Year!
I've been watching since the beginning during Covid. You actually started out asking trivia questions about the Waltons. I remember one of the questions was about Debbie Reynolds ' brother being your makeup man. I think you ran out of trivia questions & started delving into the different episodes. So happy you stuck with it. Thanks for sharing & everything you do!
*Kia ora (hello) Judy thanks again for all you do, filming yourself, editing and uploading all memories and behind the scenes of The Waltons and other things that you have done in the industry. Plus all the special interviews with your guests.🙂I do want to wish you & your family a happy new year and see you again in 2025 🙂 Let there be peace on earth for everyone in 2025 & beyond🙂nz*
Hello Judy!! Thank you so MUCH for answering my questions regarding the canceled table read and the theater scenes. That means so much to me and the time you take. Also, thank you to the person who asked where Toni went after she went into the house, which bugged me too. Have a wonderful week, God bless!! Kathy 🥰
I thoroughly enjoyed this segment along with all the others, I feel it's my duty to show you continued support and, appreciation with some feedback and a good question if one comes up . I'm glad this channel has evolved so well, you have given us the greatest gift of your time. We are the recipients of a wealth of information Walton's related along with other aspects of your fascinating world of television, live theater, and movies. The special guests are the icing on the cake. Thanks for another great year of weekly encounters of the Best kind ! 🎉 :-)
As a 9 years old, I remember watching The Homecoming. I am about the age of Mary, aka "Erin," and like many guys that age had a crush on her. I am the youngest of 3, my brother, like John Boy, was the golden child. My (older) sister, like "Mary Ellen," is a plain spoken, a little blunt, and definitely bossy, LOL! 😅 Thanks for the memories.
My hubs and I watch the Waltons almost everyday. We watch on MeTV, but I also watched back when it was a new series as a teen. You look MAHVELOUS! I have to say. I wish I could go back to the 60s and 70s to relive the those times of my life. Great seeing you doing these talks. Keep doing them. I am subscribing.
I still feel like you are all part of my family , I am 62 now and me and my husband watch The Homecoming every thanksgiving and throughout christmas and it never gets old . I love it so much ! I love your channel !
Hi Judy, So much of the warmth/closeness of the Waltons (at least to my wife and myself) took place at the kitchen table...who did the cooking and especially the Beula Bond episode where Grandma was upset when the pepper was added to the sausage burgers...which John-Boy said were the best he ever had? By the way, they looked great even on TV! Tom P., Yonkers, NY
It's wonderful how you created a very positive channel during a difficult time. Your channel covers so much history due to the time period of The Walton's story, the time period it was shown and all the many people connected with the show and the vast audience of Walton's fans around the world. You've done a very good job of taking a difficult situation and making sunshine for everyone and continuing to be be a bright light and kind of congregation of people interested in good stories, uplifting themes. You have every right to be very proud of all you've created here since 2020. And that goes to your fellow castmembers as well. Earl Hamner created a powerful legacy and you all are continuing to grow that legacy. And we fans too grow The Walton's legacy by sharing with our families and loved ones. Wishing Waltons everywhere a blessed New Year full of good books, good music, good friendships, and all the good anyone of us can contribute. Thanks, Judy! Bless you! ✨🤍🪄🎆🕊️
I remember I watched Kami’s video and was hooked. Like you said it was during the pandemic where all things Walton surged. People were looking for something and I think it airing everyday at 11:00 am (at least in my area) was perfect midday show to watch. After Kami did the initial video (which was really good) and began concentrating more on Facebook that everyone found your channel. It was a happy medium during a very rough (and, odd time) in our lives. You do a great job with the BTS, interviews and Ask Judy and it’s greatly appreciated. Hopefully, when you, Mary and Kami go on the road you three can do a sit down with each other and just blab everything about the show. LOL!!!! I think I could sit for hours with you three and just ask questions about the show without thinking of it. Personally, it always fascinated me that Mary who never acted before landed The Homecoming and The Waltons by being lucky enough (as she has stated) by her red hair. Keep up the good work.
Hi Judy, thanks for sharing this episode of Ask Judy. Always so informative and I like learning about different things on The Walton's. Have a great New Year and looking forward to more great videos.
I started watching the Waltons a few months ago for the first time and last night got to The Parting episode in season 7. I cried and am so sad b/c I'm guessing this was Michael Learned's exit from the show. I felt like I was losing a family member. I've felt the loss of each cast member as I've been watching. I love each of your characters even though it's 40+ years after the fact. The Waltons is my favorite show of all time. Of course I love Mary Ellen and am glad I'll still have her for more episodes ♥
This question has been on my mind. Watching the kids in the Walton's deliver their lines to include facial expressions to coincide with that line or an emotional expression. How did you all remember the lines and all that, especially the youngest kids like Kami and David? Did they film you all after a few words and then splice them together to make the scene? I am always amazed at the memory you all have to deliver such convincing scenes. Steve Z.
* Judy, just found your channel. The wife & I have recently retired and decided to rewatch the entire series. My wife never made it past season 5 back in the 70s so the last seasons were all new to her. I'd watched them back in the day but didn't remember them. Well it's such a shame many characters were missing but that happens in real life so its understandable. What really is disturbing is substituting different actors for a main character like John Boy or Curt. Why couldn't Richard Thomas & Tom Bower return for at least some cameo scenes ? And was it difficult for you to act opposite a substitute character actor ? Casting couldn't even find someone who looked similar. Oh well. Thanks for the channel. It's nice to have someone to ask questions about a fifty year old tv series and get an answer from someone who knows the true answer. Ruth & Paul
Welcome. So glad you have found my channel and you are enjoying it. As for recasting characters. It does seem to happen in shows when actors aren’t available, die, choose not to come back etc. Richard did come back for some episodes, but was off doing other work and had chosen to move on with his career. As for Tom (Curt) he would have come back, but when he asked for a small raise for that episode the producers chose to recast instead.
@judynorton2598 Thanks for the answer Judy. Yes we've done some research while rewatching the series. We read that Lorimar were penny pinchers. We read after the show received an Emmy all you kids got as a reward were individual packages of 3 muffins each ! That's pretty cheap for all the work you kids put in. Best Wishes Paul & Ruth .
I also loved the Jantzy Tucker character. I found that Robert Donner defined this quirky, beloved character, and brought so much humour to The Waltons,. as I recall when Ben had to stay with him!
This is my first time commenting here. I want you ti know how much I enjoy watching The Waltons episodes. It is also very interesting listening to your comments about the show and the many interviews you have made. I want to wish you a very Happy New year.
A Blessed New Year Judy, to you and all your loved ones. I love every episode of The Waltons. I have each of the seasons on dvd...if the series ever gets released on bluray or 4K, i will definitely upgrade 😎
What was it like battling the Ingels on Seth Rudetsky's Stars in the House show? It was great fun to watch. I think the Waltons should demand a rematch!!!
Happy New year Judy!🎇🎆 Greetings from The Netherlands,2025. I love all your stories, simply can't get enough, and look forward to more in the New year. I heard that Henry Winkler was also a supportive friend to Erin Moran. He appears, on screen, to be such a nice, down to earth person. That's why it's so nice to hear your behind the scene stories,Judy, both about the Waltons days, and afterward as well.
I’m not sure how long I’ve been a subscriber, but I’m pretty confident I’ve been watching you since almost the beginning. Thank you for bringing us quality videos and relaxed, fun, and informative videos. Happy New Year to you and your family. Mary
I'm sure I'm not the only one who enjoys your videos and peaks behind the scenes, so thank you sooo much for what you do! I'm up for a shout out if you are! :D
My husband and I watch the Waltons every day, 5 days a week, we have always loved ur shows, I always loved ur part, ur such a good actress. I loved the show where you and Erin entered the horse race contest, I think yall took 2nd place. I know ur dad was kinda concerned about you both doing this because ur girls, it seemed hard at times for ur dad to worry about yall, why did ur mom leave the show for a while, I think we were suppose to think she got polio and she had to go away, what was the real reason? Thank you so much for doing all these videos, it’s so interesting and you look so good.
Thank you so much for watching. Olivia developed tuberculosis and had to go to a warmer climate for recovery. That was why she was away. In real life, Michael Learned wanted to leave to pursue other acting opportunities. She felt stilted as Olivia, that her character mostly served coffee and she wanted more challenging work.
Happy New Year Judy to everyone, such fun being here with you and taking us away to a time when life was harder, but simpler, love all you do, just watched the marathon, you mean so much to me and all of us!🔔🔔🔔🔔🔔ps come to think of it, Cindy wasn't there for the last reunion that was filmed, when Janet was giving birth.
I remember my first Waltons episodes, cause i had just moved from watching Flip Wilson at same time slot on another network. Wow, glad i did. Bless you for all you do!
Happy New Year Judy! Loved you as.Mary Ellen!! I just watched all 9 seasons and the movies on Dish Tv. And I still watch them over again. Such good quality family shows!! I also liked Curt and David! Just have to ask this, who was the better kisser? ❤
Hi Judy, I’m really enjoying your descriptions of you experiences. I’ve been following the series for the first time and am now on season 2. In my youth in Nrasil I heard about the show and have some memories of maybe watching one episodes. For some reason I remember the sound of the creaking of the screen doors as they opened on the house scenes. Maybe it’s a wave of nostalgia for my own past or the warm family vibe the show presents, but I’ve really felt comforted watching the show.
Hello from Dianna in Austin, Texas! What was your experience like working with Pippa Scott in "The Actress" one of my favorite Walton's Episodes. Happy New Year!!
I am the person who asked Judy about other TV show families. Her answer and her stories were wonderful. Then she apologizes? Can you imagine the Fonz VS John Boy at softball 🤩. Anyway, I love Judys broadcasts and i was so excited that she chose my question for the show.
Hi Judy, I hope if I bring up another blooper type comment, it will be ok? On the episode, The Children's Carol, I have noticed that when Ben visits Thelma's house during the Civil Defense drill..her front door has the letters "Board Room" on the door front that can be seen when she opens the door for Ben to come inside and again when he leaves the house. I am guessing the door was painted over and used again from some other series?
Judy, please don't ever feel the need to apologize "I don't have better stories." You and your channel provide so much fun info and behind the scenes info we (the public) would never get to know! Love this channel! Thank you.

Thank you for your kind words!
Happy New Year 🎉, I always enjoy your show, awesome answers.
Thank you! Happy New Year to you, too.
I had a crush on John Boy in 1972. I was 12. I even wrote him a letter.
🥰
Thank you - I’m so glad you are enjoying these videos. I’ll try to get some sister time when we’re together.
Hi Judy, thanks for sharing this episode of Ask Judy. Always so informative and I like learning about different things on The Walton's. Have a great New Year and looking forward to more great videos.
Thanks for watching and I hope you have a wonderful New Year as well!
Happy New Year!
Thank you! Happy New Year to you too!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Judy!!!!…..
Thank you. You too!
Happy New Year Judy!!🎉🎊🥳
Thank you! You too.
I’m so glad you have started watching The Waltons and are enjoying it. I agree that it was very emotional when each of the cast members was gone.
Thanks, Judy !! Love hearing the stories! I watch your reruns often and it lifts me on days that I need lifting ❤❤Thanks 🎉🎉 Happy new years !
So happy to hear that. Thank you.
Happy New Year, Judy!
May 2025 be the year that will being us all JOY & HAPPINESS!!
🤗🫶🙏
Thank you so much. You too.
Steve Z.
Thanks for your question - I’ll take this up in an Ask Judy soon.
@@judynorton2598 You're welcome! Cool! I look forward to your response. Have a good day!
Happy New Year, Judy! 🥳🎉🎊
🥰
Judy you are the best and we so enjoy your professionalism. We do not put anyone before you. Love these sessions. Happy New Year. All the best.
That’s very sweet of you.
Funny epi with Ben
I completely agree!
This is my first time commenting here. I want you ti know how much I enjoy watching The Waltons episodes. It is also very interesting listening to your comments about the show and the many interviews you have made. I want to wish you a very Happy New year.
Thank you so much for watching. I’m so glad you are enjoying these.
Happy New Year Judy!! Hope its another one filled with great videos!!
Happy New Year - to you too.
A Blessed New Year Judy, to you and all your loved ones. I love every episode of The Waltons. I have each of the seasons on dvd...if the series ever gets released on bluray or 4K, i will definitely upgrade 😎

So glad we were able to help you through a tough time.
Gooooooood morning, Judy!
Good morning!
Hello, Judy, wishing you a very Happy New Year, and I enjoy your channel so much. Thank you for all you do for your fans.
Thank you so much.
What was it like battling the Ingels on Seth Rudetsky's Stars in the House show? It was great fun to watch. I think the Waltons should demand a rematch!!!
It was great fun- wish we’d done better.
I love watching the show I have some of the dvds but I can’t get the birthday episode to play
That’s a drag. I know I’ve had some trouble with some of the DVDs as well. I understand Peacock is now streaming all the episodes.
Thank you so much. Glad you are enjoying these.
Your channel is so much fun Judy! I hope it runs for a long time. I love your channel. Great job!!!
Thanks for the kind words. I'm so glad you enjoy it!
Hi Judy this was interesting about the ask Judy questions and Happy New Year 🎊🎉🍷🍾

I’m not sure how long I’ve been a subscriber, but I’m pretty confident I’ve been watching you since almost the beginning. Thank you for bringing us quality videos and relaxed, fun, and informative videos. Happy New Year to you and your family. Mary
Thanks Mary! I really appreciate your continued support for my channel.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who enjoys your videos and peaks behind the scenes, so thank you sooo much for what you do! I'm up for a shout out if you are! :D
Thank you - I’m happy to know that.
May God bless your NewYear ! I thank you for your show and the way you are, very cool !!! A credit to our generation !
Thank you so much.
Thank you. So glad you are enjoying these segments as well as the episodes.

Thank you.
She is lovely and narrates very well.
Happy New Year Judy! Loved you as.Mary Ellen!! I just watched all 9 seasons and the movies on Dish Tv. And I still watch them over again. Such good quality family shows!! I also liked Curt and David! Just have to ask this, who was the better kisser? ❤
I appreciate that. Thanks for watching. I never kiss and tell 🥰
Thanks
Hi Judy, I’m really enjoying your descriptions of you experiences. I’ve been following the series for the first time and am now on season 2.
In my youth in Nrasil I heard about the show and have some memories of maybe watching one episodes.
For some reason I remember the sound of the creaking of the screen doors as they opened on the house scenes.
Maybe it’s a wave of nostalgia for my own past or the warm family vibe the show presents, but I’ve really felt comforted watching the show.
Oh and happy new year!
I’m so glad you are enjoying the episodes. Where is Nrasil?
Hello from Dianna in Austin, Texas! What was your experience like working with Pippa Scott in "The Actress" one of my favorite Walton's Episodes. Happy New Year!!
Pippa was great to work with.
I love Happy Days and Fonzie
I always dreamed as a kid that i could be cool like the fonz
I am the person who asked Judy about other TV show families. Her answer and her stories were wonderful. Then she apologizes? Can you imagine the Fonz VS John Boy at softball 🤩. Anyway, I love Judys broadcasts and i was so excited that she chose my question for the show.
Thank you for asking. Glad you enjoyed my answer.
I’ll have to check that one out :)
