A cool idea to consider would maybe be a region based on the Florida Everglades / southwest Florida coast. Not something that would feature a huge city of course, but would be fun if you enjoy nature detailing and small towns.
Pres... you could start a British English town as your third series, as it would work pretty well with the props you've already got. Or another type of European city would be nice. Maybe Norwegian or Italian or Swiss. I would really like somthing with a scenic surrounding and stunning nature.
I'm always amazed at how much New Windsor reminds me of Albany, NY. Might be something to look at. Also, if you need more smaller brick buildings, I use Feindbild's Brooklyn and Manhattan collections extensively to grow inner cities, but a more judicious use of plopping could fill in some spaces.
Holly molly. I didn´t expect this. This is fantastic. I really love the idea old town and port. The view of whole city in 19:28 is awesome. I love your city i want live there.
I think doing a southwest city (Texas, Oklahoma, etc) would be cool for a next series especially considering how much cities in these areas are booming in population and economically. Plus there would be some cool areas to replicate that I haven’t seen done in City Skylines like riverwalk (riverfront in general) in San Antonio, the space center in Houston, a looped highway system, etc. It would also be easy to add inspiration from nearby areas like Colorado (Denver) or Missouri (Kansas City) considering how similar many of the cities in the mountain and southwest have grown/are laid out. It would also fill the gap in geography (C.B. is west coast, N.W. is east coast and this would be in the center). It could also be a diverse region with mountains on one end, forested hills in the center, and flat farmable fields on the other end, each presenting unique and cool areas to build outside of the main city.
Ryan Smith what do you mean by a looped highway system? Do you mean like a single loop like around most big cities or are u talking about the 2-3 loops Houston has for some reason?
Hey Pres, I have a really cool idea. After you finish the old town, you should add 2 "ports", 1 modern one with good access to the sea for big ships, and an "old port", that is more inland in like a protected bay. You could have the old port then totally renovated into the "New Windsor Piers" project, which would basically have a large part of the "old port" renovated with modern looking buildings and tons of stuff. You could have the new port where the airport was, and then have the "old port/ren A good explanation would be that they built the new port as the old port's pier designs weren't suited for modern ships (like it was two small, or the water wasn't deep enough, or just because the other port became so much better.) I have a few inspirations of this, one irl and one from the cities community. A good Irl example would be this part of Baltimore, which is kinda close to the theme we are going for; www.google.com/maps/place/Baltimore,+MD/@39.2837742,-76.6089271,874m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x89c803aed6f483b7:0x44896a84223e758!8m2!3d39.2903848!4d-76.6121893 And also another example which I may have influenced, in another cities skylines video. th-cam.com/video/a_w9Tx3g2tg/w-d-xo.html
Super cool area! I can’t wait to see it develop. I feel like it would be fitting to have some tram roads as unused/abandoned rail, maybe left over from street running.
I would like to see some central european styled city with old town and some post-soviet districts. Also it would be great to place it in mountaineous region. Someone said Prague and I've been there last year - its great example. Also Poznań in Poland where I lived for some time have tons of inspirations. Time of uploads: for me middle of the week is better since I watch your videos as some kind of chill during work. :D At 10:00 you placed building with painting and you tried to assign another building next to it which ended with covering that nice picture so I thought that you should sometimes leave empty space where once was building but it was demolished. I love what you did at 13:00 with all the "renovation". I lived near old barracks which were redesigned as luxury estete and it looks gorgeous. And I agree with "brick job", we need more of this! I don't like those green vines up there, they have LoD in different green tone so when you zoom camera it's catching an eye's focus. Still, it's by far best Cities:Skylines series on youtube, can't wait till I see next episode! I'm not sure about increasing uploads to twice a week. I mean it can't be exhausting but I wish you very best. :)
I live in Toronto, and the mix of small, historical 3-story buildings in the middle of an ultra-modern downtown could provide some inspiration. There is also the INSANE quantity of natural spaces, which could fit in quite well in this city. P.S. Love the series! P.P.S. I don't care if you take my ideas, you city will be amazing regardless!
For Another Series, you should try to build a collage town! What I mean is a large ish town with like 3 or 4 Universities or Collages, each with their own little developed area, spreading the town out further and further, complete with tons of busses, and drastic changes between old and new developments.
A DC/Northern Virginia (Arlington) area 3rd series would be really cool with like all the government infrastructure and plazas that come with a capital city. There's a lot of cool places in and next to DC to get inspiration from
I'd like the idea of a city surrounded by lakes, with outlying neighborhoods connected by bridges, that kind of stuff. Something along the lines of Finland or Minnesota, depends if you want to stick with NA theme or not.
This new district looks amazing so far! What would you think about adding a court house / some sort of official building as a kind of centerpiece? For a third series, I'd love to see something like Fort Collins, Cokorado-a modern, yet western style city on the plains leading up to the Rocky mountains. (: (Btw it's a platinum rated city in terms of bike-ability)
I absolutely love your series! Very entertaining and inspiring to watch how you make this town come to life! My only suggestion for the videos would be to please add the names of the tracks used from Epidemic Sound as their selection is huge. Other than that, wonderful vids and can't wait to see more!
I think that you should build a 4 lane freeway from the stack interchange you built to the old downtown, so trucks have more of a direct track towards the port and cars don’t clog the local roads. (In other words, upgrade the 4 lane avenue you built and possibly have an interchange in the center median?)
You should do a large southern city. Big skyscrapers and freeways in downtown (5-6 lanes or so per side) then lots of malls and small towns in the metro surrounded by new McMansion sprawl (1990s-2010s) mostly and lots of strip malls and big box stores with tons of parking. And a big airport is common in southern cities too. I feel like that would look really cool. Think Atlanta Houston Dallas Nashville Charlotte and Jacksonville for inspiration if you would want to do that.
I think you should focus on a town in the Rockies like Missoula or Boise. You could also do something like San Fransisco or Seattle. That would look really cool.
Maybe add more decals on the roads in the old downtown? Because the streets are old and after countless winters and freezes the roads are left cracked and pothole ridden. PS enjoyed the video! Looking forward to the next :)
Hi Pes, I think it would be cool if you could make a buss depot or something whit transportation, that would be cool, btw I love this series, keep it up. Edit: in the third series can you maybe make a southern European style town/city?
3rd Series idea: How about Canada, somewhere inspired by Sudbury, Ontario. I think it'd be an interesting build because Sudbury is a unique mishmash of several towns that came together, surrounded by ore mines and lakes.
A San Minato style series would be quite popular I think. That style of build (very little flat land, lots of open water, rivers, mountains, smaller towns separated from each other built into the mountains), where you are not as constricted by realism and can go for straight aesthetics would be great in my opinion. I can only imagine what a city done in that style but with all the new mods/assets and your incredible talent would look like. It's pretty hard to find anything San Minato related as Freshpopcorn deleted all those videos but he has not as of yet deleted his San Minato imgur collection which is located here if you want to take a look or need inspiration: imgur.com/a/j1PVp#25ILtQE
For a third city I'd say maybe some sort of German city by the alps like Munich or some sort of American mining city on the Great lakes like Duluth or Marquette
Please do your third series as a UK themed city and within that perhaps a city that grew heavily in the industrial revolution and now is struggling a little and is a little rundown like some of the northern cities such as middlesborough, sheffield or liverpool
Not sure if it's been suggested already but would love a series of you building a city from scratch, starting on one tile and without the infinity money mod.
EXCELLENT building! Techniques are great and i can tell youre passionate! You also solve one thing that a lot of others do not- gameplay and voice over are SEPERATE thank god 😂😂😂 bruh i cant do no 10 hour vids with a crappy voice over bruh
You should do a snowy theme like in russia or canada and mountains and call it Mountain valley Edit:Also remember doing episode 30 a tour , but if you can't then do it on ep 35
Please put several old colonial churches inside of the historic port area, like Old North Church in Boston, as it would really reflect the New England feel of the city
Maybe you could do a big European city like London this could be very interesting and I don’t know anyone else who has a series like this Or something in South America Rio maybe
Wharfs and Wharves are both correct. Wharfs is slightly more British and Wharves is slightly more American, but it’s not as hard a rule as for some other spelling differences.
Jesse Reilly British cities are very boring looking sorry. They are mostly just small lack luster downtowns with no skyscrapers or mega freeways and the suburbs are rows and rows of the same 1930s semi detached houses. American cities vastly differ however from New England which is old homes and little freeways to the west coast which is mostly midcentury to the 80s and had huge skyscrapers and Grids of tract ranches to the south which has huge skyscrapers mega freeways and hundreds of thousands of curvy culdesacs and more separated developments full of southern colonials and traditionals. theebs the european cities that people make are northern european and usually based on places like amsterdam, paris, copenhagen, stockholm. Uk cities are absolutely nothing like them and neither are southern european cities like rome or venice
i’m new to city skylines and when I have network extensions enabled it will not let me place buildings... how do I keep the mod on and still place buildings?
Have you made A truck Stop? If not go ahead and try to make one! 🚚🚛🚙
Edit: Thanks for the likes!
That throwaway comment about using different steam accounts for different projects honestly blew my mind. What an amazing idea!
A cool idea to consider would maybe be a region based on the Florida Everglades / southwest Florida coast. Not something that would feature a huge city of course, but would be fun if you enjoy nature detailing and small towns.
Download first person mod and walk to this city
This street alone was worth tearing down the airport. Having an old city center there feels much more realistic. Great job!
Pres... you could start a British English town as your third series, as it would work pretty well with the props you've already got.
Or another type of European city would be nice. Maybe Norwegian or Italian or Swiss.
I would really like somthing with a scenic surrounding and stunning nature.
Do a Midwest series, like Chicago, or just a small Americana town
Omg this didn’t get a like but I’m from the future and don’t worry he has made one!
I'm always amazed at how much New Windsor reminds me of Albany, NY. Might be something to look at.

Like Oklahoma city or Tulsa?
Ryan Smith what do you mean by a looped highway system? Do you mean like a single loop like around most big cities or are u talking about the 2-3 loops Houston has for some reason?
hi from san francisco. you should do a mediterranean inspired city like italy or greece or something. anyway love your vids

will definitely check out baltimore for the harbor!

Yay, Portland! Only been there once, but it'll always have a soft spot in my heart- I got my go-go boots there :P
Oh boys and girls it’s time to sit down and relax, your city is absolutely gorgeous.
I'm a Portlander, we pronounce them "Wharves"
Kinda excited to see my city being remade in C:S
I'd personally love a UK series, because there aren't many highly detailed UK series now infrastructurist's finished a while ago
I'm very excited about the Portland area, the new music was nice and this episodes cinematics was great 👍 Good job Pres

Omg I love the brick alleyway it’s so realistic to Portland
You should make some night shots with additive shader. Looking forward to the rest of this part!
Like your downtown the 400 West Market Building I am from Louisville and it is the crown of our skyline.
A DC/Northern Virginia (Arlington) area 3rd series would be really cool with like all the government infrastructure and plazas that come with a capital city. There's a lot of cool places in and next to DC to get inspiration from
But isnt many american cities, asian or latin american cities would be great,s
Almost all the series are about american cities
You should do a southern Florida city next
I'd like the idea of a city surrounded by lakes, with outlying neighborhoods connected by bridges, that kind of stuff. Something along the lines of Finland or Minnesota, depends if you want to stick with NA theme or not.

Use Montreal for your container port, it's small and compact since it's a river city and may work here
Could you maybe build a huge mansion on a quiet beach and call it "The Fields Mansion"? This series is just how i always imagined John Irvings novels.
Maybe add more decals on the roads in the old downtown? Because the streets are old and after countless winters and freezes the roads are left cracked and pothole ridden.
PS enjoyed the video! Looking forward to the next :)
I'd really like to see you do a European city like a Prague, Munich, Hamburg. Btw, great work as always. Greetings from Southern Indiana/Louisville!
Strictoaster does european city - Nydal
@@hadysmartin a man of culture i see. I know about that but i can't get enough.
3rd series idea: based on Rio or maybe Buenos Aries. Possibly even Montevideo. I just really wanna see a city based in South America.
Me too. TH-cam is already saturated with European and North-American style cities, a different place would be cool.
Yes,thats enoght American cities, even são Paulo would be great
maybe strictoaster would be the best TH-camr to do that considering he was born there but I agree I wanna see that too
@@stateofoklahoma4099 sao paulo is ridiculous.
@@equaius893 and every american city is the same layout
i'd love a great lakes series like something small like Rochester, Kingston, or Cleveland, or something big like Chicago or Toronto
Oooh, that last shot 👍
I'd suggest either a small American rural town, or perhaps a decent sized Ontario, Canada town/city for a potential 3rd series.
Hi Pes, I think it would be cool if you could make a buss depot or something whit transportation, that would be cool, btw I love this series, keep it up.

Love the Keralis Restaurant! :)
YOU ARE INCREDIBLE
Remember me telling about the mayflower monument from the colonist time? It would fit great in the portland downtown x
3rd Series idea: How about Canada, somewhere inspired by Sudbury, Ontario. I think it'd be an interesting build because Sudbury is a unique mishmash of several towns that came together, surrounded by ore mines and lakes.
beautiful Downtown

looking amazing dude c:

There are cars driving into each other on the road at the seaside. I think they’re using the same lane. Looks very weird :D
A third series?
A midwest city, like Saint Louis or Kansas City. Haven't seen a midwest city done. Or a Pittsburgh-esque city.
Pres more like imPRESsive
Hahahahahahahahahaha
Do a Northern European city! Seeing you do Reyjkavik ( im so sorry if i butchered that ) would be really cool as I feel like nobody has done it before
Please do your third series as a UK themed city and within that perhaps a city that grew heavily in the industrial revolution and now is struggling a little and is a little rundown like some of the northern cities such as middlesborough, sheffield or liverpool
Great job! If New Windsor was real, I would move to there by now. Haha!
Hi, as for suggestion, what about middle Europe theme? You may get inspired by Prague, a wonderful Czech capital.
Not sure if it's been suggested already but would love a series of you building a city from scratch, starting on one tile and without the infinity money mod.
don’t play vanilla sry
I think the Kansas City assets are a little too western for this Portland style downtown but a Brooklyn Heights/DUMBO style would work nicely here.
I love this city!)
I love the oldtown
maybe some not-square suburban housing. Maybe something like the area lincoln in rhode island, something like the river RD
Since you are doing new england, maybe do an english theme?
Do a Amsterdam-style city for your 3rd series.
It would be cool if you made some sort of arctic town like in Alaska, Greenland of Russia for a third series.
What about jumping into the European stuff? Maybe an Italian city?
EXCELLENT building! Techniques are great and i can tell youre passionate! You also solve one thing that a lot of others do not- gameplay and voice over are SEPERATE thank god 😂😂😂 bruh i cant do no 10 hour vids with a crappy voice over bruh
do some kind of city that is on a lake in the mountains. That would look good.

Yes Dallas would be nice.
Your 3rd series should be based on NYC or Chicago
P.S. Also something like a Pittsburgh or Cincy would be cool as well!
A southern style city like Georgia would be cool
pres you should do a miami-themed city as your 3rd series
If you ever do a new series, do one on a city in Alberta Canada. If not then look at Hawaii
Can you make a southeastern city? I've never seen someone do a North/Central FL style city.
what's that brick building at around 4:45 i need it so bad
