Great vid, bro. Never been into fighting games, but MKX came with my PS4, and I recently picked it up again with some friends, and it's been a blast. Will probably never play online, though, since I can't afford a PS+ sub. Chama.
I think we forget how much people complained about mkx ( too aggressive, no zoning/variation in gameplay, everyone was rush down, etc). That game was super oppressive and it was fun doing it to others but not fun to be on the receiving end and as a direct response to that we got injustice 2
I'm shocked people complained about the speed of the game. This was the first mk where I took time to play competitively online and thought this was the normal speed of the game as injustice had a similar speed. But nowadays, less zoning is what is needed mk1 as it takes away from what the game is about... COMBAT
We could’ve have Smoke, Sindel, Baraka, Mavado, Kabal, Stryker, Nightwolf, Jarek, Reiko, Havik, Shujinko, and Rain in MKX. But given how they’re all not in the game, I felt frustrated realizing they were supposed to be in the game. And then they’ve ruined it
What a time. I’m in my mid 30s and have been playing since MK one in the arcade and I can say without a shadow of a doubt I played MKX the most with MK2 very close behind. So much fun and everyone I knew was playing.
Pulling off 15+ combos was the best feeling in both MK9 and MkX All characters had so many moves and different was too start combos, juggling opponents, and bounce. and Larger health to keep the match going longer Slowing down the fighting and giving fighters less moves is what put MK into this mess we have now
90% of the pros hated the run mechanic but have tutorials on how to wave dash. If NRS would add a run mechanic in Mk1 but only while your opponent is in a juggle state, I think it would feel so much better and speed the game up. Also add like a stamina bar that you can use to get invisibility frames on back dash to get out of pressure in between gaps. A push block would be good to at the cost of a bar of meter especially against someone like Kenshi when he has Sento out. Chamma! or however you spell it
I loved the video. You should have just mentioned the running mechanics, which although not everyone liked, added hype and satisfaction to the matches, especially for those watching.
I think variations are a perfect mix between modern game design and classic "pick a guy and win" philosophy, but I don't think mkx did it well enough to win people over. Some variations feel like they take away more then they add to be honest.
It’s crazy that MK9 MKX MK11 and MK1 all feel different and could look like they were made by different developers
I thought they were
Which is the biggest problem with NRS. Instead of improving on what they already made they start from scratch and fuck it up every time.
And they keep going back to a multiverse timeline reset

Crazy cause mkx had a game changing patch that flipped the meta on its head. Mk1 needs something like that cause shits not fun.
101% agreed mk9 and mkx were the peak of fighting games
yeahhhh, mkx is the best game ever made, it is my favorite
Great vid, bro. Never been into fighting games, but MKX came with my PS4, and I recently picked it up again with some friends, and it's been a blast. Will probably never play online, though, since I can't afford a PS+ sub.
Chama.
Nothings been the same since we lost the run mechanic
that one 3D mortal kombat game on the game cube was so good. I remember borracho in that game being a funny highlight like you mentioned.
Run cancels were peak too
Good job Tweedy! Thx bro!
COMBAT
Kind of crazy to see Tweedy talking about MKX in 2024. I still play it because it's fun and competitive.
Mkx will always be the best I've said it for years
Hopefully this brings a resurgence of mkx players 🙌🏻
Hey man. I got a chubby
And then they’ve ruined it
Let’s go shujinko 👏🏽
What a time. I’m in my mid 30s and have been playing since MK one in the arcade and I can say without a shadow of a doubt I played MKX the most with MK2 very close behind. So much fun and everyone I knew was playing.
Pulling off 15+ combos was the best feeling in both MK9 and MkX
All characters had so many moves and different was too start combos, juggling opponents, and bounce.
and Larger health to keep the match going longer
Slowing down the fighting and giving fighters less moves is what put MK into this mess we have now
CHAMAAA, loved the vid bro, great balance of insight and comedy!
Chamma! or however you spell it
Havent felt this much freedom for combo expression since Injustice 2 ...why they deviated from MKXs fast paced style and variations is beyond me
the dlc delivery was lovely! 4 fighters at once instead of 1 dropping once every couple of months !
I loved the video. You should have just mentioned the running mechanics, which although not everyone liked, added hype and satisfaction to the matches, especially for those watching.
The entire run from 9 to MK11 was fire
MK9 and MKX helped me visit the stories from the original trilogy.
I think variations are a perfect mix between modern game design and classic "pick a guy and win" philosophy, but I don't think mkx did it well enough to win people over. Some variations feel like they take away more then they add to be honest.
I still say it should have been two Variations for each Kombatant.
@@nyronarnold6024 why? 3 is just more variety
When I buy a pet, Imma name it 'big mamma chamma"
Great video. I couldn’t agree more. I spent countless hours on MKX back in the days. Hands down the funnest one to play.
Summary: We need Mkx 2
Was dark asf...and I LOVE IT
I wish they would make Mortal Kombat X remix Chomma. You are definately right and I hope they go back to the Mkx mechanics and just refine it.
The dark atmosphere was the best in this, gave away the good old 3D era vibes.
Mk X and Mk 11 i still play those games I didn’t even get Mk 1 it looked stupid
This was peak and not for the faint of heart. I almost dropped this game but I labbed and got good. X went crazy. You had to be a dawg
I agree, i too am a demon come the witching hour at that of 3 am
Maybe not the best one but im sure its 100x better than MK1 that doesn't even looks and feels like Mortal Kombat anymore
Mkx needs a remaster with all npc as playable characters and a better ranking system. Goated game
