- Here I talk about the undergarments I have made for my entry to the 2021 Foundations Revealed competition. The theme this year is Once Upon a Time and you have to make a garment or outfit based on a character from a book. I am making a motoring outfit based on the character of Billie from the Motor Maid series which came out between 1911-1914.
Foundations Revealed's competition is open to anyone: foundationsrevealed.com/compe...
Combinations, Corset Cover and Petticoat are made with the Folkwear 203 patter: www.folkwear.com/collections/...

so beautiful
All the undergarments look great! I can't imagine wearing all that stuff every day! So glad it's just a bra and panties these days.
You are so talented! I just came across your channel this morning by searching making a shawl! I do see as well but I’m not that advanced. You are amazing.
the petticoat is pretty!
Thank you!
Though the fabric was a pain that red petticoat is fantastic! I also liked seeing the brassiere made up as I haven't seen it completed. Great job!
Thank you!
Looking good so far!
Thanks!
The petticoat turned out really pretty!
Thanks!
I think all the pieces turned very pretty. I especially like the red silk petticoat. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the garments.
Thank you so much!
Wow! Well done 👏🏼
Looking very much forward to the next installment 😍
Greetings from a snowstorm in Stockholm ❤️
Thank you! 😃
Well, thank you! I have that pattern and haven’t made anything from it yet. So fun. I do have a very full, floor length taffeta petticoat that I made years ago. I love the swish and the feeling of it. Very pretty too. Your red one is cute. Why not remove the waistband and make it a bit bigger?
I totally could, and should, I just got so frustrated with the fabric that I needed some time away from it, plus gathering is one of my least favourite sewing activities. I'm excited to make a full length one sometime.
I went ahead and fixed it by not removing the whole thing and just enough to steal from some gathers and close the gap.
Hello Victoria, What got you interested in Victorian clothes, and early photography? You must collect a lot of antique patterns
I'm not sure what got me interested, I've always been into old things. I don't actually have any antique patterns, but there are a fair few companies today who reprint historic one, so that's handy.
@@VtorHunter Hello Victoria,
I think you would enjoy reading, The Girl's own annual books from the early 1900s. Some of them have some nice patterns in them. I always love history. I am a big collector of Victorian photographs. I also love gramophone records from the 1900s-1920s and Edison cylinder records. They are lots of fun to play.
@@VtorHunter Victoria, I hope you are have a nice week! Thank you for writing back! :-)
