I like your approach, simple yet functional. Just getting started building out a 6X12 cargo trailer. The goal is to show my young son as much of our beautiful country as i can, especially the western U.S. Offgrid as much as possible. I hope he will love the outdoors instead of growing up being a cellphone/video game zombie like it seems many kids do these days. Thanks for the chance to win.

I have been watching different channels on cargo conversions. I am getting ideas on how to build out my trailer. The hot water heater is definitely one of my must. My plans for traveling are to boondock around the US.

Shower is a must. We’re out four wheeling right now. Three days in the mud I’m ready for a hot shower!

Enjoying your pragmatism with regards to keeping things simple. Wish I had the benefits of your space and tools. Would be using the shower at Suwannee for music festivals, and more, once trailer is built out.

I love the well thought out simplicity in so much of what you do. I’m glad I found your channel. New subscriber 🙋🏼. Monday I pick up our new enclosed trailer and the labor of love starts for my wife and I as we plan on slowly converting it to a simple camper while we use the heck out of it for mountain bike trips, helping our kids move and lots of weekend getaways. If we won the water heater we’d use it on our trips as we hit our favorite spots in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, and Kentucky, and in all the new places we travel. Thanks for the awesome content, keep up the great work. All the best!

Great simple set up , If I had a hot water heater set up on demand I would put it in my inclosed trailer. Im building out a trailer kinda like yours. It will be a Work trailer with tools up in the v-nose part A toy hauler and a camper for the grand kids when we all go quad ridding. So naturally were calling it the bunk house. this weekend Im putting a new roof on it with 2 vents as a tree went through it its a 7 X 16. then paint floors walls as ive already insolated the walls and ran all the outlets . Shower would just take it over the top. I like your comment it will never be done, So true with anything. Happy trails and GOD BLESS

I would love this for my convention cargo trailer I use to go on Harley Davidson rally’s …. Sometimes a hot shower is what’s needed in this trips.

Hi Steve, that water heater would really work well with my '98 7.3L E350 adventure van that I've built. I had UJoint Offroad install a 4 wheel upgrade with a 6" lift. The rest of the build I did myself including a queen bed, galley kitchen, Maxx Fan, solar panels, etc and most importantly a Propex propane heater. I could definitely use the water heater for an outdoor shower/privacy tent that I previously bought but never figured out a how to heat the water for a shower. Keep up the great content and looking forward to your future projects.

Thanks! This would do the trick for sure. Needs a pump to pressurize the system and obviously a water source but the one we used in Kentucky was a God sent!

I'm glad you made this video. I thought that i was already subscribed, but wasn't, and that has been remedied!
I'm actually starting a TH-cam channel for my offgrid cabin build in Kentucky (no kidding), and this water heater would be featured on our channel in a few months.
Keep up the great videos, my whole family likes your content.

Cool project Steve! If I were to win that propane shower I would prototype a recirculating shower setup so I could have endless showers with just a couple gallons of water. I plan to bundle filters and uv sterilization into a suitcase size module that will ride piggyback on a dolly cart, it carries the power, propane, pump, water and shower pan. Get where I’m going? The system would also work very well as off grid hot tub setup with a horse trough. It’ll go camping with us too but we’ll use a vinyl blow up Japanese ofuro (soaking tub).

    • @buildlifeoverland
      @buildlifeoverland  ปีที่แล้ว +1

That sounds like a good plan! Who doesn't need a soaking tub when theyre camping LOL I'm going to have to try that!

I’d use it on my 8.5x24’ race trailer we are going to convert to be a camper as well, come this spring! Wife wanted a camper on top of our trailer so the project is to make it both. I think I saw an Illinois plate on your truck. I could show you the project at autobahn country club sometime!

I was just searching youtube for bed ideas and came across this video of yours. I seen "free giveaway"! Watched the video and Liked and Subscribed!! We just ordered a new 7x16 Cargo trailer that we are going to turn into a camper/toy hauler. Been going nuts looking for ideas on what to do for electric, plumbing and bed ideas. There are a ton of ideas out there. Never thought of a water heater, especially a gas/propane one, super simple.........so, I thought this would be great to have. Now if I was to win I need to change my floor plan a bit but, that s ok. We are going to use the trailer for going camping/hiking and biking. Thanks for the opportunity to try to win something!!! Looking forward to more ideas!!

Hi. I’ve seen the water heater installed in an outdoor shower. I would like to use one in my cargo trailer conversion for inside hot water and also an outdoor shower hose. I’m currently doing my build. Brother did a cargo rebuild will share with him.

I (we) off road, hunt, and camp.
I want the wife and grandkids to go with me.(yes, really!)
I’m told that a hot water shower, and other amenities, would increase the likelihood of their participation.
