I LOVE this bead crochet with the 26 gauge wire Gail. It's so gorgeous. You're incredibly talented and you have such a good eye for colour. I love ❤️ watching your videos. I've been putting a lot of your posts up on one of my Pinterest boards - which I've called: 'MYO Jewellery With Gail.' I've really been getting into Bead Crochet, using B Lon cord by Beadalon, you know the 3 pack that they sell with the white, black and browny grey colours in it. I love using the C Lon cord too, in cocoa brown with size 6/0 picasso green glass beads. The green really pops against the brown cord. Is it very difficult to crochet with wire? It looks fabulous. G'Day My Wonderful Friend, Well this is a lovely design and I love the soup mix use of beads. It would look good if you used one colour but using different sizes and textures would work beautifully. One done in white or cream pearls would look great as a bridal necklace and ones for the bridal party that matched their outfits..... would be stunning. May be a matching bracelet and earrings would add that little bit of chic. This project using wire was something that I though I could do but then you did that "loopy" thing at the end. If there was away of doing it without that process then I would have had ago ....I can never get them to work lol! I have received my bead order with the Sono thread. I have made a small sampler of bead Embroidery and as well as doing a RAW using different sizes of seed and bicones. I found the thread very soft and within a hairs width of the 6lb Fire Line that I use and Its a little finer then Nymo. One of the best features was that it easily went through the size 12 needle (I use a Japanese beading needle (I find them very strong and have never broken one yet but they can bend after some time of use but it doesn't have a size but when I compare it with a size 12 it looks the same so I am guessing that it is it's size). When I used it for bead Embroidery I found that I (felt more comfortable) with going through the beaded section a couple of extra times. It seem to hold the beads well. I think that using bee's wax may help it to be a little bit stronger and may be using shorter lengths may also give it a better life. Not sure about using it for doing the edging or for joining sections of beaded Embroidery by using beads, findings e.t.c. Particularly larger beads as I feel the weight of those beads would be to heavy. I think it would work if you used the Sono for the Embroidery part and Fireline for the edging....or a similar thread. It would a cheaper way of buying and using thread for large designs.....will try it out with my next bead E design. Not sure about using it for RAW with bicones or large beads and pearls but for small designs using 15 or 11/ O I think it may work. I think that it would work find with Delicas and a like but I would still re enforce jut to make sure. This is my view of this thread and comparing prices and length of thread....100 m or 110 yds as opposed to Fire Line... (about) 45 m or 50 yds . The Sono is around $5.50 for the 100 m reel and the Fire Line is around $15.00. This makes it a lot cheaper to make a large design (using both threads) for bead Embroidery than using only Fire Line. Its great for me as buying FireLine can and is very expensive and therefore makes my design dearer to make. Have you tried it out yet ? Let me know what you thought of it... I would be very interested to see what you thought and if you came to the same conclusion as I did. If any one else has used it then please let me know what you also thought of it. May be Gail you could do a video on these thread types that are different to the Fire Line that is mainly used by beaders. Sorry for the novel but I am renown for long winded descriptive novels on other beading sites. No, haven't had a chance to try the SoNo thread yet -- need to finish up a few more videos that are in progress before I go back to bead embroidery ones. :) I may have to do a new threads video; I'll think about that one. But right -- SoNo for the embroidery and Fireline for the edging. Have a great day! :)

hi Gail yeah that helps one more question for the necklace you made how much wire would you say you used to make that one necklace and where do you get your wire have you ever used that zebra wire from Fire Mountain Gems where I live there's only a Hobby Lobby and they have little to none jewelry making supplies just a small spot with I'd say maybe a handful of wire 😞
Hi Coleen -- Sure, Zebra Wire works fine. You can also check a hardware store for copper wire -- many times they have it as well. It's tough to say exactly how much I used, but to be on the safe side, I'll estimate 5 feet per strand.

Hi Romas Crafty Redesigns, thanks for watching! The 26g is pretty durable, as long as you don't get too rowdy with it -- but by the time all the various strands are together it's very durable. It is quite flexible and easy to wear (not to mention fun to wear!). :)
Hi Coleen -- It depends on how long you want your necklace, and how many beads you want to have included. As a general rule of thumb, string on enough beads for between1/3 to 1/2 the length of your necklace. For example, if you want 14 inches of beaded crochet, string on between 4 and 7 inches worth of beads. I hope this helps!
Hi Coleen, thank you for your question! Since I work off the spool, I haven't had to join wire. But, if the wire broke, I'd anchor the new wire a few loops back and then pick up where the old one broke. After a few loops with the new wire, I'd wrap the old wire securely into the new loops/ Hope this helps!
Hi Gail - love your teaching style. I wasn't able to find wire on a spool where I live - had to buy 2 meter pieces. I just learned that 2 meters goes quickly when crocheting! I think I will definitely be splicing. This is my first attempt (at crocheting too). 😂. You make it look so easy!!!
