- A Major Flood Emergency is impacting the township of Ingham Queensland with homes being surrounded by water and power cut off to premises.

G'day, all. This brings back awful memories of the '74 floods in SE Qld. So much devastation and heartbreak. I was 24, had 3 little kids, we'd just bought a house near Daisy Hill. 2 rivers rose rapidly, and covered our 2 story home for 4 days, we escaped just in time. Lost everything, had storm and tempest insurance and thought that covered floods, but no. Marriage broke down, bank took house and land, very hard times followed. It took me 26 years to buy a small home again. I'm 74 now and live on a mountain! My heart goes out to all affected. I wish you all better times ahead.
It's truly horrible.
People don't know until they have been through it.

Ingham's constantly flooding. I come from Cardwell, and I would never live in Ingham.
FYI Cardwell is under water too.
@@clumsy1333 Yes, in parts, but never, ever as bad as at Ingham. Ingham is on a floodplain.

Looks like a video to support insurance claims, for example the boat would have been kept out of the rain because you need it.

Yup, and down south and over west, record-breaking heat. Plus the hail across central Victoria and Melbourne last night then rain/lightening/thunder for hours. What a country! 😭
