Back then it provoked large parts of society and its influences can be seen up to this very day! Both in music and lifestyle. He has several albums to his name that defined a musical genre and went gold. Consequently he toured all over he world. On top of all of that, the one video-interview he gave to Mrs. Spheeris... No need to even go there, right? Now one might not like any of it, but that is a different story. In summary one cannot help the conclusion: that's pretty damn legendary! In its very own right.
