2K19 was such an amazing game. It was the perfect wrestling game for me. I still in enjoy 2K24 but I go back to 2K19 if I want a pure wrestling game experience

Me too. I fuckin love starting matches with it. Especially with known technical wrestlers like Angle, Bret and Mr. Perfect. It always added so much to the realistic feel. Also the rest holds.

Yeah, I haven't played the game legitimately since they got rid of it. I used to play a whole year of Universe every year, but I barely touched 22, and 23, and haven't gotten 24 yet.
One more thing 2k19 community creation didn't took 83 years to load like 2k23 and 24

If I could restore my Xbox One I think I'd rather go back playing 2k19. It had Bryan, Christian, Undisputed Era, Aleister Black, The Hardys, Cesaro, among others. The only thing about 2k24 that gets me hyped is tables don't disappear.

For real bro. I’ve been playing wrestling games since the first SVR and I can tell you they had it as close to *PERFECT* as possible with 2K19. But 2K decided to fuck it up again by trying to reinvent the wheel and turn it into a fighting game with retarded AI. I noticed when I had people Live Streaming 2K22 matches that were put on in my honour from an online league I used to be a part of.

They definitely should straight up bring back the squash match and bring back the original backstage area and bring back the commentary for the showcase mode and make the my rise career mode longer and bring back cutscenes for showcase mode and create a story

Bryan’s showcase mode has to be my favourite in the series. It was so good I went and brought is book because his story was so interesting

God I still pray that one day the 2K19 servers would reopen so I could feel like a *GOD* again. Although I already feel bad enough that I didn’t play it online until the final 5 months, but I am glad to say though that playing it offline for so long helped me so much to train for those online matches and becoming one of the hottest 2K19 performers ever to never win a League Championship (post Styles Tower thing where you coulda won a million dollars). But honestly I still play 2K19 though for the created AEW wrestlers that never made it to the initial Fight Forever roster. But like I still yearn for the days of kicking absolute ass but at the same time having so much fun (especially with the Steel Cage matches that me and my then-friend did). Also to be honest this is practically the reason why I haven’t touched a 2K game since. I don’t care about 2K20, 2K22 or 2K23 and so on. You’ll never convince me that those games take as much skill and are as much fun as 2K19 was (and I was playing WWE games since SVR 2006). As of now though until the 2K19 servers are ever reopened (a man can dream), I am sticking with Fight Forever through and through. Thank you.
Oh and 2K really fudged up trying to reinvent the wheel after 2K19. Super retarded AI and just nostalgia-baiting everyone into buying recent titles just like Madden.

The most important thing that was missing is the body damage system, which goes from red to purple and then gray, with each color affecting the time it takes for the wrestler to get up-a very good mechanic that was present in SVR. In WWE 2k24, it's pure arcade; it seems like the game was made to be released on Game Pass. It only has graphics and new modes; other than that, 2k24 is a step backward.

The controls. 2k19 had the best controls. You can barely reverse anything in 2k24 unless you put all the sliders to zero

2k19 does everything better than 2k24, only advantages 24 has is special guest referee that’s literally it, casket match and ambulance match looks cool but it has submission mechanics so it’s only fun for so long

24 has better graphics and some match types I wish were un 19. When I play 19 I feel like I'm actually having a wrestling match rather than a fight.

@rhettrozbicki3127 Bruh, that's what I thought too. They already had basic controls similar to that of the AKI games, which in my opinion I think if AKI were making games this whole time it might be similar to 2K19. I try to like the rebooted 2K, but I can't stand not having some of the sim elements from 19 like the chain wrestling and rest holds. You also use to be able to move your opponent into the sitting, and kneeling positions which I don't think is possible anymore. In the new 2K it feels like a straight up fight, and I can't compete like a Chad Gable, or Bryan Danielson without the sim features. It's always straight to a brawl or the big moves straight away. Gets old fast. I still enjoy playing 2K19 anyways. Also the submission system is straight up trash. Atleast the one from 19 was fair, and actually skill based. All they needed was a proper rope break animation.

2k25 should bring back variety of moves that 2k19 has...one superstar in 2k19 can perform more types of moves than in 2k24.

The classic Elimination Chamber is in the game, but it’s unselectable due to an oversight, the chamber code was put as a cage and they didn’t know how to fix it so they just put the Elimination Chamber in the cage
You can see this by making a custom Elim. Chamber match (at least in 2K23)
So technically, if you mod the game you can have Elim. Chamber in a cage match
It may not have the same chain wrestling as 2K19, but 2K24 does have a lockup minigame. I think the developers intended that to replace it.
This era of games getting worse and not better each year sucks.

Honestly…. My conclusion is that the only thing 2K24 did better was the MyRise mode, made the championships look better and inevitably had a larger move catalog. But 2K19’s move catalog was already amazing anyway.

The only thing 2k24 does better is rope rebounds not whiffing, and overall collision detection is better.
And the blood, not being restricted as to where you can place weapons, more advanced gameplay settings, better hell in a cell (it’s still cheeks tho), more match types.

Tbh 2k19 is actually the “perfect” Modern wrestling game you see yukes really put love into this shit and for me 2k just doesn’t like granted what I gripe about is small shit like for instance on 2k24 it says “undertaker 98” but it’s his 1999 ministry picture and his 1999 ministry look I hate they don’t add the right titantrons for a particular wrestler I also hate how they do this little minimalist shit it’s so plain and just the inaccurate stuff like that and when they uploaded the retro look for triple h and it was his current old man model with a horrible hair change lol just certain things they do make it clear to me that they don’t care I remember when you could switch between the new and old elimination chamber, then they add people WE DONT GIVE A FUCK ABOUT like honestly we love pat Macafee but why the fucc does he and his co workers need to be in the game for?? Ok so were is that special guest ref match ambulance and casket in 19 also where is cm punk the sandman and all ecw dlc that sre showing up in may that havent been around since 08 08 on ps2 was the beat for roster and actually showed the world the show that taught wwe and wcw how to be violent and steal ecw ideas
