    There's no way it's worth that cost but I'm glad you enjoyed the coffee out of it. I highly recommend the Hario Switch. I've really been enjoying the notes from it.

      Agree. I put Hario Switch on my list. When I get I will ask you for that perfect recipe of yours.

    I saw this one on sale for 19 Euros. This year some really amazinh good pourovers came out but with ~60 Bucks each its kinda expensive to try out every single one

      €19!!! 🤬🤬🤬. Yeah, I definitely overpaid, shipping it from Japan. But fear not, I recently bought something even more expensive - Pulsar 😁

      Wow you really got one? I thought about it too but its sold out almost everywhere . I recently had incredible results with the Hario Switch, best easiestr recipe would be from coffee chronicler, If you have a light roast tetsu kasuya has a very interessting recipe too.

      If you are in London, there is a coffee shop , Nostos,outside Battersea Park Station where I bought mine.

    Hi Jack.I visited the DAK site to purchase the coffee and they want 32 euros plus shipping for 200g!! are you having to pay import tax as well? It seems a lot to pay. Up there with the blue mountains and Kona. Is it really worth the asking price and hassle to get to UK?

    • @mycoffeeshow111
      @mycoffeeshow111  ปีที่แล้ว

      What I would say, if you do bigger order the shipping is free. I would not pay that much but I managed to get it at my local coffee shop in London for £26, still a lot but more acceptable. There is another interesting roaster, in Uk, with some unique beans:

    I'm not sure if you mentioned or have already tested but other than taste, does this brew faster or slower than Orea at the same grind size?

    • @mycoffeeshow111
      @mycoffeeshow111  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I haven’t put them side by side but the hole looks bigger on Simply so the assumption is that it is faster.

      @@mycoffeeshow111 super interesting! I hope they come out with a 155 filter version since I normally brew 10-16g doses and prefer pouring very near the bed! my favourite right now is the Kalita 155 Tsubame variant (the only Kalita I like) which brews just a touch slightly slower than the Orea but is more forgiving with coffees that are not perfectly roasted even brewing with water at off boil

    • @mycoffeeshow111
      @mycoffeeshow111  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@m.andre824 I only have 1 kalita and I am not a fan. It is so frustrating as it clogs all the time. I think you could use smaller filters with Simplify as well.

    • @m.andre824
      @m.andre824 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mycoffeeshow111 The only difference between 155 and 185 Kalita filters are the wall height! The measurement of the base is the same. My concern is really more of how close to the coffee bed I can pour! If you get the chance to try the Tsubame 155, I highly recommend it. Avoid the 185 drippers. What determines the flow rate of flat bottom drippers aside from the drainage configuration is mainly the wall angle where steeper drippers like the 155, the Orea, and the Stagg X are all faster brewing than Kalita 185 drippers.
      Unlike how Hario will have the same internal design across different materials of the V60, all Kalita drippers have different drainage configurations, ribs on the wall, etc.
