    Fellow New Mexican here. You gave such great instructions! Thank you so much. I was in a hurry and needed homemade tortillas. I just followed along as you made them and they came out great.

    PS - I didn't have any lard or Crisco on hand so I used butter instead. I'll make sure to have the proper ingredients on hand next time but even with the substitute of butter, they still came out great and everybody appreciated the effort.

    now I have to make some tortillas! Have you ever tried using bacon grease? -try it out by putting a tablespoon or two in the freezer after making some bacon.

      🤤....☺️ That's why the familia has all the heart problems. We had pigs on Grandma's farm. The best part was eating them not feeding them. 😋 La Prima de los milliones.

    When u use baking soda u have to let the dough rise yo!!

    I use olive oil...healthier than lard.

      Olive Oil is not healthier than real Lard. In fact our people have lived well in to their 90’s-100’s years of life
      Using Bacon Grease as well.
      It’s the new Vegetable Oils and unhealthy Margerine that has clog arteries and caused damage to our human bodies.
      Olive Oil is great (depending where it comes from), but it’s not healthier than Lard.
