This video makes me go back to India, especially to my favorite city Udaipur. My husband and I stayed in Taj Lake Palace in 2017 and it's by far the most beautiful and romantic place in India we stayed in. Simply gorgeous! It was expensive but the experience was worth it. I really would love to come back to Taj Lake, maybe for a couple of days longer...
Also, Happy to see that the lovely lady dancer is still there. I took photos of her while she was dancing 5 years ago, she was and is still stunning.

We were there last Nov 2019 and my husband had tripped in the bathroom that required at least 3 stitches in his forehead. When I called for
help, within seconds everybody was at the door asking what they can do. I told them we have to go the hospital. A very nice and kind gentleman
named “HARSH” accompanied us to the hospital and stayed with me all throughout the time my husband was being treated .I was sorry I forgot to ask his last name, because at the time I was very worried about my husband’s condition. We returned to the hotel almost 10:00 PM. The following morning when we checked out, I was told he’s not working that morning and was not able to thank him. “ Harsh, my husband and I are eternally grateful to you “. Take care and be safe, Amelia G. Balcita, M.D.

I was there in 1977. The hotel has grown quite a bit but certain vistas remain similar. There was a second overgrown, abandoned palace on the lake that we rowed to and explored-with a beautiful row of carved marble elephants at its entryway. Children from town were swimming, and toyed with our boat in a gentle, teasingly friendly manner This was one of the happiest times of my life.

We spent a magical few days at this beautiful hotel years ago. To this day I still remember everything about the whole wonderful experience. Even though the hotel is very luxurious the experience feels intimate and the staff make you feel like you are family that they want to spoil. A small example after our first dinner, the Chef came to our table to ask if we enjoy the food, which was fabulous,. The Chef noticed my husband enjoyed Indian pickle the next night a special pickle was brought to our table compliments of the Chef. I did use the spa during our stay and again had a wonderful relaxing experience. The hotel with it’s beautiful setting immediately makes you calm and relaxed. Thank you for this lovely video.

My favourite thing about TLTE’s videos is their timelessness. Like…I can’t explain it, but I feel like they will live on for generations, due to their production values and high quality. Not to be morbid, but even after us here in the channel have passed, I truly feel they will still be held forth as a standard of high-class travel videos available online. In fact, sometimes the videos make me emotional and my make my heart slightly ache-will I ever get to see these amazing places? They also remind me of just how big our world is. Thank you TLTE, for all you do.

Just before the second renovation in 2000, I stayed at the queen's suite or as the hotel called it the peacock suite as it was peacock themed. It was stunning. They really make you feel like royalty. I absolutely recommend a day's stay if you cant afford more as its almost life changing.
Edit: it was very different from the one shown here. this is more sumptuous

It's nicely articulated video with a penchant for perfection. Really amazing! On 30.12.2002, I had gone City Palace, Udaipur and after seeing/visiting it I and beau were speechless and it's one of my favourites amongst the CIty Palace(s) of Jaipur, Alwar, Kota, Chittor, Bikaner, Jodhpur. Only thing which really pinches me deeplyis that the Royalty never gave credit to the construction workers who sweat and toil hard for building such amazing palace (s)

What a stunning property and video! This palace hotel is beautiful in that, like you said, the furnishings are simple but gorgeous and not guaddy in order to show off the lovely curves and arches of the Indian architecture. The simple small square colored glass windows in the suite were beautiful. The video is beautifully made, so smooth in your movements and with that relaxing music, it was like having a 40 min session at the spa, to unwind and relax. My only negative was upon hearing about the very expensive wedding, knowing how alot of India is quite poor and still in a Caste system.....I can only hope those who work there and keep that oasis shining (especially those glossy floors) are looked after properly. Thank you for another great video.

We spent a month travelling in Ragasthan several years ago. We asked our agent to book us in to several TAJ hotels. We did not specify which TAJ hotels so we left it up to our agent. She booked us into both the Palace on the Lake and the Umaid Bhawan Palace. Simply stated, these are two of the absolute finest hotels anywhere in the world. The staff, the food, the accommodations and the surroundings were simply perfect. Of course India is so much more than hotels. The scenery, the food, the spices and truly the people were all amazing. One big shout out goes out to our Driver, Nitan who drove us around for the whole month. Nitan totally made our trip special. He took us to places where tourists don’t go and taught us so much. Seeing the Palace on the Lake in this video has rekindled my desire to go back.
