Challenging calls ruined baseball . Human error is the main ingredient to excitement . Once the ump is taken out of the equation , there can be no more arguments . Mattingly looked like a meek lamb after about 30 seconds of confronting the ump and walked meekly back to the clubhouse . The wonderful likes of Sparky Anderson are gone forever. Even the term ‘ kill the ump ‘ is forgotten . Billy Martin put umps in TV. commercials when he kicked dirt all over home plate with , taste great , less filling Miller Light beer .

People can assume that if the game is as fair as possible, then the better team will probably win. Simple, so review or accountability is naturally going to lean towards a more fair game. TBF, i know that baseball has the least possible chance of change (because we said so 😒) but even so, 9 innings is just too much these days. get the game under 2 hours at least, and let the players do whatever it takes to make the game more fun to watch. Haven't been a fan in a long time, but this is coming from someone who kept paper score cards when i was preteens.
