You know for that price. I expected to see animated ferrofluids under a dome of colorful lights, but instead it just sits there. "But why is it this shape?" "cause".
The Aura Studio 2 I had had a tube in the middle that opened out up at the top. It was supposed to funnel bass up to the top of the speaker. Maybe. But mostly it's just an aesthetic thing.
For some reason I thought I had seen some of these Studio 3's with the tube out the top too, but from this video it clearly doesn't. It does make sense, plus I thought there might have been a tweeter set in the center and the tube was kind of a horn for the sound to come out, but it looks like the mid/tweeters are under the fabric looking material I would imagine.
Hi! Thank you for your video! I have a question. What about bluetooh connectivity? I had an old Aura version placed in a top shelf, and the bluetooth had to be set manually everyday by pressing the bluetooh button. It was not always on as with other speakers and always it was a hassle to get on a bench to press everyday that button. Do you know if is it the same case here?
I personally prefer the sound from the aura due to the bass but the sound quality from the onyx is noticeably better. I would say if you take into account the price difference I would go for the onyx
@@nicabc yea I just had a look. Seems mental to me because the only onyx I’ve ever had is the 8 and to be honest it wasn’t great. Definitely not as much bass as the aura 3. Not even close.
@@HammoTechReviews yeah doesnt make much sense to me either, and now put in onyx studio 6 and boombox 2😂. It is just funny how overpowered the onyx studio 6, i think the boombox may have slightly more bass in high volumes like 80%.
@@HammoTechReviews ohh boy😂. Cannot even imagine how much you’ve spent on these speakers by now😂. I got mine like 2 yrs ago for 130€ from a carrier store lol
The shape of a subwoofer enclosure does not amplify the sound. There can be ports to tune for more sound pressure at a specific freqency, but otherwise the volume of the enclosure mainly matters while the shape is not nearly as significant.
I feel like the major selling point on these is that it gives a crystal ball kind of vibe
Does it? 😂 looks more like an incubator to me

Yeah.. i thought there would be like flowing water or lava lamp whatever.. turns out it's just light.. that's too much empty space 😅
Or a dancing hologram inside it.

Does the Inside a passive radiator
It is $129 usd in The United States. I already have a Onyx Studio 7 and I really like it.
Does the interior of the dome gets dusty?
@@raymundovazquez9548 I’m not sure the interior would no?

I was always using the Bluetooth and I never had that issue. Guess they must have fixed it 👍
Yup they fixed it but you can't answer phone calls which should've been a feature.
Would this be worth it for $130 USD? Its going for that right now on the harmon kardon website
@@jadadpe3873 yea that sounds like a decent deal. Although it still wouldn’t be my first pick

Hi , I’m still confused to choose between JBL authentic 200 and HK aura studio 3 for indoor use only. Pls advise
Authentic 200 is about 10x better. I wouldn’t choose the aura 3 over anything
It looks cool and sounds very good, but I think the lights should be better. They dissapointed me.
Is it good for desktop? I mean does it make the desk vibrating and like bother you in that way?
No the bass isn’t that strong. Would be good for desktop yea
Hi!
Would you recommend Onyx studio 7 or Aura 3? Indoors only
180 vs 230 quid, aura being costlier

Great Advice, thank you@@HammoTechReviews
Even i prefer aura or soundsticks.. I have listened to Onyx and its not good
Tenho uma, mas resolvi fazer dela um aquário. 😅
Intresting thing is, this ones bass is quite a bit weaker than on onyx studio 6. How does it compare to onyx studio 8?
The bass on this is much heavier than the onyx 8.
I have a comparison video in the works between these two. It should be out next week

Hi,any app to control the lighting ?
Sadly not. The built in settings are hardly noticeable either
Should I consider JBL Pulse 4 or Aura studio 3
Pulse 5 is the way to go 👌🏼
The shape is to amplify the Subwoofer, like the box sub in a car

@@ferrari5Star if that’s true, it doesn’t work very well 😁
They're $100-$129 now.
