Finally a honest real review of this speaker ! Harman goes downhill fast, because Samsung own Harman now. And now their speakers sounds so terrible, the sound signature is bad. The Go/Play 2 and the new Go/pLay 3 also sounds terrible with weird bass quality and mids, the tuning is just not good. For me no more Harman anymore, Sonos or Bose !
Lmao if you did some research before dropping $300+ on a speaker, you would have known. Obviously you’re rich enough to not research the product, even the basics. Can’t imagine.
So i just sold my HomePod 2 and have bought the HK Aura 4. Whilst i love the sound from the HomePod (imo nothing compares to it!) I think one of the major drawbacks of it is that you can only use it with Apple products, i didnt mind this at first but since getting it i have bought an Xbox Series X, cant connect it. I have bought a Windows Laptop and PC, cant connect it unless you purchase something like TuneBlade which i did but encountered endless streaming issues. Just a huge headache! Atleast with the Aura 4 you have the Audio line in which will connect to anything, and although the Bluetooth is only 4.2, you are the first and only person i have heard thats made any notion of there being an issue with this in the slightest! Which, on the balance of probability, would lead me to suspect its an issue with your individual device rather than a common issue, otherwise there would be so many more complaints around this. Not to mention my BT headphones are all bluetooth 4.2 (i dont buy a new pair if everything is working fine) and no issues at all, again, leads me to believe you are either exaggerating or have a device fault. You mention the limitations of adjusting the sound signature, whilst also explaining how you can adjust the sound signature by increasing the bass and treble… weird.
Thanks for sharing! Totally get your frustration with the HomePod’s limitations-been there too. The Aura 4’s flexibility sounds like a great upgrade, and good to know Bluetooth 4.2 hasn’t been an issue for you. As for sound adjustments, I guess it’s just down to personal preference. Glad you found a setup that works!
Would love to stress test one of these. Ive been abusing one of my Onyx 7’s for years and its still holding up great. I wanna hear what that 100 watts can do compared to the onyx’s 20 watts. Does the audio start clipping, do the drivers even survive? Great video though very informative
You can pair any Bluetooth speaker to an echo speaker, and set output of specific echo to that Bluetooth speaker on Alexa app. Older echo dots (before 4h gen) are cake shaped, so you can basically hide the older echo dot and use any Bluetooth speaker with Alexa functionality. Only thing is that you may still need to use mic on that echo dot, so cannot really just put it in a drawer or a closet.
Thanks for the review, I'm sorry it doesn't have more up-to-date connectivity. The only thing that caught my attention was the design and the lights, but hey.
And to think I was considering that a curious one to research due to catchy name and looks... Such a disappointment... Thanks for saving me from testing it by myself! I tested Harman Kardon Onyx 7 and 8, and was actually impressed with a sound.
Glad I could help my friend. It's not a bad speaker by any means...it's just disappointing. I've only heard good thing about Onyx, I might test it sometime soon
I think its absolutely immature for a audiophile brand to not expose the not portable Bluetooth speaker only plug in and not being able to add a battery to it for that kinda money is a disgraceful 😅

I just bought it and I’m so disappointed that is not movable. It has to be plug. Every videos of HARMAN hides the électric cable ….
Sorry to hear that mate, will you returning your Aura 4?
What a first world problem bro
@@3ZN357 yes I’m agree with you thank you

Thanks for the video! I was looking to get Aura 2.. do you think that’s good move?
Glad you like it! I haven't tested Aura 2 but based on my experience with Aura 4 I would not recommend it

Glad you like it! Design is fantastic but don't buy it for the sound

Nice video, but i've a question, Do you know how to adjust EQ for Aura 4? I can't find EQ adjustment in the manufacturer's manual😢
He tells you at 3 mins 3 seconds. rewatch the video and take note from the 3 minute mark.
I don't have any 1st world issues with the aura 4...switched from HomePod and do not regret it at all. Dude is just nitpicking...
dude has to nitpick, that’s what I do

hi!, what speaker with google assistant included would you recommend?
hi! Sonos all the way
I cant figure out if it looks cool or if it looks like something to store cheese in
😆😆😆
Don't care about recycled, I am more happy with non-recycled materials if it sounds as good as it's priced! But it isn't... therefore nobuy...
preñas?
xcelent my dear. great four see one more india four the tube.
Thank you! Cheers!
what about harman kardon onyx studio 7?
haven't tested that one but I heard good things about it
I own 2 they are amazing. The bass is insane. Plus the prices have been dropping since the onyx 8. Totally worth it in my opinion
Bluetooth still on stone age
😅 yep
Dó they atleast have a audiophile plug-in from its app ?
When will you understand, even best Bluetooth will sound like s***comparing to the wire, period!!!
I was thinking of buying this, since I have the HK in my BMW and it sounds amazing. But I am in the Apple Ecosystem. Not too sure what to do
