Fantome 8 Roll Results, Discussing the Film, the Experience, & what I'd Like in Fantome's Future

- Lomography sent me a free roll of Fantome 8 film to test and to shoot as part of their film testing program. I put the film through its paces as well as I could with a single roll shooting a number of types of shots in various lighting conditions. In short, I really liked this stock a lot, and not just because the roll was free. When I make my All About Film video for this stock I'll be buying a boatload of it and I'm looking forward to that.
This video discusses how I shot Fantome 8, how I metered it, how I developed it, and the types of photos I took. Each sample photo contains a pre-screen with, to the best of my ability, my memory of the shot's settings.

After cringing while watching a couple of TH-cam "photographers" use this film for all the wrong reasons, I'm so happy finally watching someone who actually knows what to use it for. Thank you!
Thank you!
Very interesting presentation about this film. Thank you.

Very interesting film this. I haven’t tried it myself, but it is certainly on my list. Your results look amazing.
Thank you! I liked this stock a lot and I am really hoping it's around for a long time.
Wow, exciting. They have an ISO 13. 😉 Great video and tips! I have a bunch of ISO 8 and 13. I am willing to grab more eventually. I would be definitely willing to send you a roll of ISO 13 if you're interested.
Thank you! Let me get through the current backlog of film that I have to shoot with first.
@@DavidHancock just let me know when you're ready.
Interesting you chose rodinal, I just picked up a bottle and am excited to try it out on different films. Any stocks you'd recommend?
I had two reasons, the immediate being that it was my only developer that Lomography had a time for. Their D96 sample looked even better, but I don't have that on hand right now. Lomography has some times that they have tested, but I haven;t used any more than this one roll, so I don't have any other recommended times.
My camera only goes down to 12. Do you have any tips?
You'll need to shoot manual mode, but set it to 12 and overexpose one stop.
