Wow, that joint made me cringe! Not enough clearance space when he went in there to adjust the knuckles... we've lost plenty of railroaders who were coupled up during a knuckle adjustment...
@@NortheastCorridorFilms and umm, hey... the bell that you were hearing gave it away, the engine was in park beFORE that adjuster wend and did what he did.
He also followed a very crucial rule, one foot in, one foot out. He has one leg on the outside of the rail so that way if something does go awry, he has an escape route to save his life. Grandfather was a southern pacific worker and that rule saved his life when a car decoupled and didnt stop, he ended up with a bruised butt
That P42 had very fresh LED lights
Best passenger locomotive period! love those p42s
Love the genesis locos and their replacements the ALC42 chargers!
The chargers are ugly trash!!
He was unlocking the couplers so the coupler can couple properly
being a superliner he's connecting to it must be the auto train
Yes!
Like it
Connecting the engine to the cars
Guessing he was counting the cab car
For those who are railroaders and know what rule the conductor broke. Yikes 😬
Cool! We saw something like this in Rensselaer a little while back!
Incredible dangerous job
Not if you are a trained and qualified trainman.
@@thairatcatcherno, railroading will always be a dangerous job, even if you’re trained!!
It’s not dangerous if you know what you doing

Different companies have different rules on going in between rail cars

Nice recorded OSHA violation😀😀. Hard hat hanging on locomotive 🤭🤭. Cool video. 😎
В России подают звуковые сигналы об остановки и о начале движения!
Yup. Lacing up train cars is fun
That’s what Grandpa did!
Hello, folks! This man with glasses looks like Elton John in his youth.

looks like this train has no power to push it's own so another train pushes it from the back
So many violations by the brakeman.
Not engine connection. Engine and passenger car
Okay. Thank you for clarifying. We are not railroad experts. Just passengers.
