True artists sometimes dont ride the gravy train of mass "fame and fortune". I hope Hawksley knows how appreciated he is. Incredible musician, songwriter and artist.
Absolutely love Your music! My youngest is now 22 and I was pregnant with our youngest when we got to see you live. Xo your music has saved us so many times! Valin is grown up and a paramedic and still loves your jams! See you in November at Danforth! xo
This song played as I drove to my parent's house after I got a late night call that my father had, out of nowhere, died. I thought I was being woken up because my pregnant wife was right at her due date and it was time. Instead I undertook this indescribable drive at 2 am, a drive to my parent's house that during the daylight hours would take 20 minutes. Only this song played and I was suddenly there, quietly and non deliberately I had driven at insane speeds to get there. To see my dead best friend/father. 4 days later my daughter was born; her name is Hawksley.
Moyah Sutherland I was also unsure about Old Cheetah-it’s quite strange but after listening a number of times, I love it! Same with Treeful of Starling.

We were at a brilliant and beautiful concert by Hawksley and Mr. Lonely in Saint John this year. He's wonderful and they are a perfect duo.
One of my favorite Canadian artists... This song just brings tears to my eyes...
Oh Gosh! Haven't we met in Paris few years ago and talked about Hawksley Workman?
