- Hamamelis vernalis ‘Quasimodo’ fooled us into thinking it was in bloom! We should have known better, as the fragrance far precedes the sight when the flowers are fully open. Spring blooming ozark witch hazel is different from the medicinal fall blooming Hamamelis virginiana. This cultivar is a lovely grafted dwarf selection. If you love winter fragrance as much as we do, we highly recommend getting one from a specialty nursery. #hamamelis #nativeplants #nativeshrubs #winterflowers #fragrantflowers
