  • Emmy Award-winning reporter Catherine Hoffman has worked for several years to share the rich legacy of Black history in Kansas City by uncovering some of its most compelling stories
    In a new documentary, compiled in honor of Black History Month, these stories of Black excellence, sacrifice and discrimination are brought to life on Kansas City PBS. Featuring five topics and their historical impact on Kansas City, Preserving Our Past: Kansas City Stories of Black History focuses on the remembrance of Black history, culture and their contributions to American history.

    Love KC I grew up in Jackson County almost every city in Jackson Country . I must say KC was my favorite. 61st and Main walking distance to most places; love KC BarBQue it’s the best. I was born in Topeka Kansas was from a poor family filled with love for one another.
