In its defense, the Rannoch Reaper took multiple Orbital strikes and waves of explosives from 5 Quarian battleships. And let’s not forget how many ships it took to kill Sovereign. And since the Crucible has never been completed before, their “arrogance” is justified.

The Reaper looking at the missiles as they destroy it is a nice touch and notice his eye core became dilated when Shepard pulled the trigger, he wasn't expecting that and it shows the Reapers are scared and they know it, that's why they attacked Earth first.
Based on logic and sci fi lore, AI of that type don't really feel fear in that sense. AI with developed personalities can experience an equivalent of fear, but Reapers do not have personalities since they deem it unnecessary. The Reapers targeted Earth because logically that was the most significant obstacle to their mission based on data from their encounters with Shepard. What the Reaper is displaying in it's final moments of operation is more like *confusion*. All data and evidence from the past billion years pointed to victory and success in their strategy to control the geth, kill the quarians, and stop Shepard. The Reaper had made no personal errors and made all the correct decisions, yet it still ended up failing and it does not understand how.
I haven't played ME3 in a while but i think this cycle harvest started from Batarian space, as they actually planned in ME2: Arrival. They also using their husks (forgot how batarian version called) during Earth invasion (prologue).

When you think about it, Harbinger's voice itself can be a trap to lure you into thinking he is not actually a threat.

The interrupt is badass, but the paragon dialogue actually sounds more badass than this. Paragon dialogue Shepard actually taunts the Reaper and talks about killing them.
Interesting: renegade shepard here talks about control (this time organics are taking control), and paragon shepard talks about destroying them. Idk, just found that interesting after the seeing the endings
I always choose the one when you shoot the gas pipe and blows it up when the Krogan is blabbing on and Shepard says "You talk too much." During Mordin's Loyalty Mission.
For everyone who says Mark Meer isn't a great voice actor, I send them here. He is a fucking amazing renegade voice actor. Paragon? Not so much, but Renegade? DAMN.

Stopping organics from destroying themselves --- before organics develop artificial intelligence(s). However, at the same time; the Reapers do not have any compassion about destroying the lives they claim they are saving. Devoid of art, feeling, emotions, and other qualities living creatures exhibit. To answer this question I looked at how the Reapers govern themselves and how they practice their philosophy. My best guess is they fall somewhat under 2 alignments in the Dungeon and Dragons system of alignment. They are Lawful Evil: They believe in preserving species by eliminating them at their Apex but not caring how they damage the species they are "preserving" thus destroying and causing much suffering to the species in its Apex form. They are Neutral Evil: Sovereign gives examples of them capable of being Neutral Evil as well. In Mass Effect 1 Sovereign used the Geth as tools and Saren as a puppet in order to achieve his goals. Saren readily admit towards the end of ME1 that once the Reapers get what they want, they would in fact, discard their servants. This was Saren's greatest fear, and realization in the end. They are not Chaotic Evil: in spite of the Reapers claims on Rannoch when talking to Shepard about how the Reapers represent order, they are far from it. Their so-called order only causes more chaos by harvesting of various species, and their imperfections of fully eradicating the Protheans. The Reapers explain to Shepard through direct conversation that each Reaper is an individual nation free to act on its own. Yet, it is never answered that all Reapers participate in the "Harvesting of species" at the end of each cycle; this shows a lack of order. However, they are not cruel and selfish. The Reapers do not destroy all life, only the life that exhibits an "Apex" quality. For this reason I cannot say the Reapers are Chaotic Evil.
They are insane, they defy alignment. "Yo dawg, I heard you didn't wanna get killed by synthetics, so we made synthetics to kill you so you won't be killed by sythentics."
Scenes like this are why die hard 100% paragons are the biggest, dumbest, most boring chumps alive. Be good to your buddies, help those in need...and always sass/blast the crap out of any schmuck son of a bitch human, krogan, batarian or Reaper who thinks they're king of shit mountain.
From what does this interrupt depends? Do you have to be high on renegade or do you have to choose the renegade dialogue for the renegade interrupt to happen? Cause I chose the paragon dialogue and I had the paragon interrupt instead.
Yeah you definitely need to go renegade to initiate this first. I played paragon my first playthrough and I basically talked it down. This time I was more serious and chose renegade and I ended up with this option.
My Shepard would have said something more along the lines of "Tell Harbinger he'd better start writing his name on a tombstone, because I'm going to use his corpse as a pissing trough when I'm done blasting his glowie ass into oblivion." But this is okay too I guess. :P
I disagree, the reapers respect results more than diplomacy. The reapers consider organics so inferior that they can’t comprehend their motives, so any explanation/dialogue is just pointless. On the renegade interrupt it’s more of a fuck you because I know you’re not gonna listen to what I have to say anyways

Is this dependent on having the geth die or just a very renegade shepard? I'm curious I've never seen this choice in my playthroughs-even my pure renegade run.

This and Kai Leng were the only two Renegade interrupts I did throughout my play-through. I must say, they were the two most badass ones.
Hitting Han'Gerrel and killing Udina are another ones.

I like the paragon dialogue better except for the renegade interrupt. It’s just so badass so it’s always the option I choose.
When the renegade interruption appeared I flinched and went straight to the mouse.
This is the only way to do this scene.
If you can only choose one renegade action in the entire trilogy, this is it.

Neither, have done it twice on runs that were mostly paragon and had peace between the quarians and geth.
