I think she is SO pretty! I really like the style that came from it being watercolour over pencil lines. It gave it an urban feel, if that makes sense. It reminded me of graffiti.

Can I just say, that I love Rin's art style and how she tries to help other people to become their own artist and having their own style. I also love how she tells us to believe in ourselves and to just go with our gut. She is not only an amazing artist, she also is a caring, helpful artist. I wouldn't be able to achieve things that are quite hard for me to draw such as noses and eyes, if it weren't for Rin's determination that we can all be artists. I can not thank you enough, Rin, for believing in me when I couldn't believe in myself. OMYGOSH I sound super cheesy but, anyways, thanks. GO DRAWINGWIFFWAFFLES!!!!

I just have to say. When I began my "art journey" I struggled with the whole mental aspect of drawing, seeing myself draw a person (or really anything) from concept to end. But when I discovered your video (the one on 5 ways of improving your sketchbook, to be exact) it was the first time that I could picture myself actually drawing. And every time I watch one of your videos i am that much more spurred on to keep going and keep trying. You are so real, and you deal with some of the same things struggle with. You are an inspiration!

I’m 21 years old I loved drawing in high school. It helped me with stress and my anxiety. And of course i signed up for art class. But I had a teacher that only helped kids that she thought had potential I’m a little salty about it still. Anyways I got distracted and frustrated so I stop. The worst mistake, now I’m trying to draw and use watercolor again to have an outlet. Do you have any advice or recommendations for a person who doesn’t have any creative bone in their body or skill.

Sarah Perez sorry to hear your teacher was like that. I’m definitely not waffles but I would say to try using basic shapes like triangles and stuff as guides for drawing. And practice! Just draw what makes you happy and take inspiration from art that makes you happy

I love that you emphasize the point of keeping up with your art and exercising your art brain! It's hard to stick with it but it really is important :) I find drawing every day, even if its something I don't like, helps me stick with practicing art.
When I have art block I tend to not draw, not even doodle, and I’ve learned even if you don’t have inspiration to draw anything I scribble a huge random twisty line and turn it into something else I love it

I used to hate using watercolor (I've only ever used the really cheap kid watercolors) but then I watched a bunch of videos by you and a lot of other artist and I decided to buy myself a pretty good quality watercolor set and now it's my favorite medium to work with

I find myself watching and listening to your videos while working on my Animation classes. I'm just starting to play with ZBrush and throwing together a cactus as a warmup assignment. When learning a new program or medium I frequently turn to your videos for the positivity. There are times when I get discouraged and listening to you really helps immensely. With all the challenges you have, it's always inspiring. It's to the point when I don't want to do any artsy stuff I ask myself "What would Waffles do?" Thank you for the massive boatload of giggles and inspiration with your personality and art.

This is my favourite painting from you so far waffles thank you an
Her name was Abigail. A simple name, really. She was always an adventurous girl in one way or another. The amount of times her father found her doing something outrageous. Cutting her hair with scissors on the bathroom sink. Piercing her own ears with safety pins and lighters. Camping on the roof, just watching the world. He always called her a wild child. And it was true.
She loved the rush, the freedom it gave her. As she grew older, the more people pushed back. How many times she was always ridiculed for being herself. But she kept her head up strong. She wasn't going to let them force her to conform to the rules. She was going to be herself.
It was her senior year and a young freshman girl stopped her. Abigail was confused to see the girl holding a camera, hands shaking slightly. She stuttered out her question, afraid of what Abigail's answer might be. Of course, she said yes.
She stood in front of the white wall, posing for the girl. Clicks came from the camera as the girl took pictures. She thanked Abigail many times, showing her the pictures. Abigail grinned, wrapping an arm around the girl giving her a side hug.
Later in the year, that same girl committed suicide. They said it was because she was depressed, that she was constantly getting bullied. Abigail's heart broke. She wished she had known... Maybe she could have helped. But at the end of the year, something brought her peace.
The year book, the beginning pages were dedicated to the girl. Her name was Amelia Price. They had quotes saying so many beautiful things about her. Stories telling of the sweet and caring girl Amelia was. And the final page was a picture she had taken of Abigail at the start of the year. The words 'be yourself' were scribbled at the base of the page in Abigail's handwriting. She cried, sobs rocking her body. It hurt so much, but at the same time it made her feel so much better. She did help, even just slightly. Even though they never really talked, Abigail being their had given Amelia the strength to hang on for as long as she did.
