If you have bombchus you can also just run into him while carrying one and release it at the last moment as he tries to turn around. Also works on the big rolling goron.
There is a glitch that if you have a single tick of Health, the counter won’t start, so you can actually progress in this situation, it’s just extraordinarily difficult.

@@Ikey_Ilex You can usually a bit more time if you enter with iron boots too. If you take them of the timer will stop or reset before starting again if you don't leave the water right away. You can't spam it but every second counts lol
As people said, those timers are based on how many hearts you have, so you can beat Fire Temple and Water Temple without changing tunics if you have enough. Another interesting thing about hearts, Dark Link will have the same quantity as the player, so if you only have 3 hearts when you fight him, you'll get a really short fight lol
Theres also a deku scrub mini game in the lost woods that gives you upgrades for young links items. Im pretty sure if you get the big goron sword before getting said upgrades, you wont be able to get some of them.
I did beat Volvagia without getting the Goron Tunic, as it's explained in the video, because I jumped from the top of rhe volcano (then using Pierre) to get access to Fire Temple.
Not really. The timers for burning or drowning are based on current health. You get 2 seconds per 1/4 heart. It's pretty easy to get 11 hearts before becoming an adult. Add in the Forest Temple heart, and you have 12 (assuming you didn't get any more hearts other than that) and you have 90 seconds to get in and out of any rooms that. And you get an extra 90 seconds per fairy.
You can also make it impossible by doing the big goron sword quest before the mask quest. For some reason, the deku scrubs won't give you the deku nut upgrade if you have completed the big goron sword quest.
Maybe you can buy at kid link in the past if you have enough rupies, one time I buy that way, I not pretty sure if the code is block if you do that move.

I'm sure I'll be corrected for this, but doesn't planting the magic beans before releasing bugs on the soft soil make it inpossible to get those gold skulltulas?
They're still possible to get even with the bean. This gets a little confusing because the hole you're most likely to check, the one next to the bean seller, does not house a skulltula.
I failed to 100% the game because of answer glitch. The last thing that I needed to 100% the game was a final upgrade to my deku nut capacity, but the game glitched and wouldn't give it to me. 😭
For a tip to do it easier without the bow, grab bombchus from the bowling alley before you grow up and explode the bomb flower using a bombchu. That way, there's two explosions so they last a bit longer, and you still don't have to play around with the actual detonation timers ;)

I mean you can also make it impossible to get everything in a game in the gerudo trials if memory serves me correctly. I did that once many years ago, couldn't get the ice arrow.
Or a more simpler solution is don't end up losing it in the first place. If you're not wearing the Goron tunic then it won't be stolen or misplaced so if you don't lose it in the first place which is easy to literally do then you won't end up having to need that because in all my plays I have literally only lost them once and the simplest way to get rid of like likes without having to deal with them eating you up close is literally stun them with a slingshot or hook shot or a long shot then get away before it can eat you or you can simply use your bow and arrow and voila you're not going to lose your Goron tunic or your Zora tunic for that matter. You can do it just fine! Only the rooms with lava have the heat timer, and the amount of time you get is based on your current health going in. Go in with enough hearts, and maybe some fairies (dying from heat with fairy raise will reset the timer) and you can very easily do the fire temple without the Goron Tunic, just like you don't actually need the Zora tunic since you're never really underwater for more than a minute ever
What the video was supposed to be about: how to permanently miss an item in OoT. What the video is actually about: people learning you can stop Link the Goron with arrows + bomb flowers.
Each full heart gives you 8 seconds to live on the timer, and by this point you have, at minimum, one bottle. Only rooms with lava have the timer, and it fully resets once you enter a room without lava, or if you die by timer and are revived. If you've been grabbing all the heart containers from bosses up to this point, you should have 7 hearts, giving you 56 seconds + 1 fairy revive giving you another 56 seconds. With 56 seconds, you can clear almost every lava room easily, and volvagia can be beaten within 2 minutes just fine. You can choose to add more health to your timer by grabbing the many easily accessible heart pieces by this point, and more revives with one extra bottle from Anju, one extra bottle from Talon. All in all, beating the game without the Goron Tunic is pretty simple if you know what you're doing and how the mechanics work :')

Yeah, but it’s also not quite that simple, as he also opens the door to death mountain crater, you need to use one of a few glitches to get to fire temple without the goron tunic
Its actually way easier than this. All you need to do is NOT get the skull mask from the happy mask shop before youre an adult for the first time and whoops you cant get that extra item later
you are wrong, the mask salesman is next to the entrance to temple of time in town square. You can get 4 masks that you must sell around hyrule. You can ONLY get certain upgrades from the lost woods with them. One of these masks if the mask you must use to get to the second dungeon as a child. You must sell the keaton mask to the guard to climb the mountain. You get that mask from the mask salesman.@@ayasha89games66

Same thing happens to Sakon if you shoot him with an Arrow in Majora's Mask while he is stealing the Bomb Bag from the Old Lady! Bomb Flowers are explosives and I guess they are touch sensitive when it comes to projectiles like Arrows! Also in the case of the Bomb Bag, it is made from a Dodongo's stomach which is capable of surviving the explosion of a bomb but if it gets ripped open by an Arrow the bombs it contains go off all at once which is why Sakon is killed by the explosion (which locks Link out of any rewards from the Old Lady & prevents him from progressing on the quest line involving Kafei & Anju, still not sure if the Curiousity Shop still sells the All-Night Mask!

oh man I hope this was Fixed with the Randomizer
This is fixed in all three major randomizers (OoT Rando, SoH Rando, OoTMM), so there's no need to worry about it there.
Rice cake farm, rice cake farm, why did you come to the rice cake farm?
All this time.
It was THAT SIMPLE to stop the rolling bastard?!
Only truly impossible if you take little to no additional hearts
It also makes it impossible to just play the game outright because you'll burn to death in Gordon Mountain, so the 100% kinda doesn't matter.
@@EonAegis oh yeah, that's what I want to do when I play video games, on the spot maths.
@@blackcat738my brother in Christ would never clear Fantina’s gym in Platinum. Ooooohhh spooky minecraft stacks!! 👻👻 Counting? Not on my watch. This is 2024 we dont count, we have our problems solved for us on IGN walkthrough silver-platters 😂
@Holyfireheart100 you missed a detail, "on the spot math", calculating how long I have left, in seconds, ticking time in an area with how many hearts I have left trying to get hearts from pots.
The point is, that's not how the game is meant to be played, and it's not how I like to play my Zelda's games.
Im sure theres ways to clip thru that door
A task that's much simpler if you don't have the skill to time a bomb
There's a much easier way to make a save file impossible to 100%
Simply do the Bigoron's Sword sidequest before getting the deku nut upgrade from the deku scrub fashion show. Getting the Poacher's Saw overwrites the data that checks if you have that deku nut upgrade, making it unobtainable
This was patched in the 3DS version
Yeah, but it’s also not quite that simple, as he also opens the door to death mountain crater, you need to use one of a few glitches to get to fire temple without the goron tunic
You might want to watch the video again. No glitches needed at all :')
YOU CAN SHOOT BOMB FLOWERS TO DETONATE THEM?!?!?!
Well actuallyyyy you could glitch into the room
Its actually way easier than this. All you need to do is NOT get the skull mask from the happy mask shop before youre an adult for the first time and whoops you cant get that extra item later
You're thinking of Majora's mask. There is no mask salesman in oot
@@ayasha89games66there is? I didn’t realise. Looks like I might be able too get a new item.
you are wrong, the mask salesman is next to the entrance to temple of time in town square. You can get 4 masks that you must sell around hyrule. You can ONLY get certain upgrades from the lost woods with them. One of these masks if the mask you must use to get to the second dungeon as a child. You must sell the keaton mask to the guard to climb the mountain. You get that mask from the mask salesman.@@ayasha89games66
yeah the mask salesman is next to the temple of time entrance in the hyrule castle town square. if you follow a guide on how to get the upgrades for the slingshot and deku sticks, etc. you will notice it says to NOT become an adult before completing that quest or it will be locked off
@@OblivionWalkerVerified
Also, you sell the other masks to the kid walking around the graveyard, and other characters around hyrule, and it gives you a preview of the 3 transformation masks that you see in Majoras Mask
@@santoroproject8753 don’t worry. I knew there was the happy mask salesman in OoT. I was just feeding the troll that’s all
... but it looks like you have a Goron Tunic....
This happened in my first play through 😅
EXCUSE ME AN ARROW EXPLODES THE BOMBS!?
You don't need it if you have already cleared the temple
I could’ve just shot a bomb flower??
You can just SRM a new tunic I bet
Zelda tok: Its imposible for me to complete the 100% of the game 😢
Zelda oot: First time?
What can you do to lock yourself out of 100% totk?
@@XxSuperGamerxX42069 You can do the 99%, beat ganondorf, get the 100% for a few minutes, but after that the game returns to the 99% because that quest returns to "Incomplete"
@@XxSuperGamerxX42069 I don't know about permanently locking yourself out, but since you have to collect 1000 Korok seeds to earn it, which is an utter pain in the butt.
There are some minibosses that you only get 1 chance to get a picture of during normal gameplay as well, and they don't become available for purchase until after beating your current playthrough. Technically not a total lockout, but it would be on a 100% speedrun since you have to get everything before beating the game and going to buy them later takes longer than if you have gotten them properly.
Clueless fans: "Ocarina is perfect"
Ocarina: *makes it impossible to 100% the game if you do something slightly different*
Copy Your save File
Restart The Game
Uhh... it's not impossible technically.
With the power of faroe's wind, some time crunch and a shit ton of fairies it's actually possible to beat the dungeon in 3 trips back and forth to the fire temple and the great fairy fountain.
Fairies for some reason if you die reset the clock and in volvogia's case DOES NOT RESET HIS HEALTH
Yeah you can beat the game just fine, just your save file will forever be incomplete :')
it was about 100%ing the game, not beating it
False its always impossible to get 100% without cheating
Hahaha
This is what happened to me as a kid! I was completely confused on why I couldn't get another after a like like stole mine, then spit me into the void.
*mumble* RBA *mumble* ACE *mumble*
