It was clarified right after that episode that Taeyong is NCT 127 leader and NCT overall leader when all members are together. Also, UMusic, also said it in his profile that he is the leader of 127 and overall leader. Plus the members look at him as the leader as well :)

I love how sometimes on cam NCT members always jokingly tease TY track as a leader but when it comes to business like practice or stage rehearsals they are all very attentive to what he was saying. That goes to say that they are comfortable enough to joke around him but they still respect him. Das the quality of a true leader.

I aways see the leader take care of the members, but I rarely see this kind of spirit where the members do the same. But, in NCT, it's crazy to see how the members seem to protect taeyong and really appreciate him as their LEADER and TREASURE. I mean, they actually ADORE him a lot. You know what made me actually love NCT & become a devoted NCT fan? It's at 4:13.. When Taeyong said "let more people know about Kpop"...when I saw that it touched me. Anyone could have said: "thank you & please let more people know about my group". He himself could have promoted his group only, especially knowing that his group isn't even a top group, but he didn't & I found that admirable. Then I checked out their US concert fancams..& again he & Johnny(?) were talking about kpop, promoting kpop even in their concerts..I never seen someone so selfless, being in a group that it's not a top group yet they weren't just out there promoting themselves but kpop as whole to their small audience at their own concerts. I haven't even seen Top groups in America actually doing that. NCT that day you gained a fan.
omg you made me tear up a little for the appreciation. Im so frustrated because no one was mentioning how they really performed for ALL THOSE CITIES even if the audience is SMALL. It's like they are really out there reaching out to the fans genuinely performing and actually fulfilling the meaning of NCT127 (which is from seoul to the world). The tour as a whole felt so intimate and correct me if I'm wrong but I believe they are the first ones to do that. This is what I love about SM, they really stick to the concept of their groups. I am not a NCTizen but I knew about NCT from the beginning. For me and I think majority of the people, Taeyong is the face of NCT (unlike other SM leaders). He brought people's attention to the group with his visual, dance, rap, aegyo, producing ability, cooking ability, cleaning obsession and many more. He have the full package and with the members and NCTizen support, the group can be more successfull BECAUSE he's not selfish. He reminds me of GDragon, the most successfull leader of the most successfull group in kpop history. Lastly, just because Taeyong listened to members wish that doesn't make him powerless. Only stupid leader doesn't listen.

Being a leader doesn’t mean one has to lead every time. It is when they know that someone better is fit for the job and gives way for them. Not only do they guide the group but also make sure each and every member shines in what he is doing. Taeyong and other kpop leaders are not “Powerless” rather they are considerate and thoughtful leaders that know when to use their fist or not

Taeyong is not my bias but he is my bias. What?!! ㅠㅠㅠㅠ TY is forever one of my most fav leader in KPOP alongside Suho, Onew, Leeteuk, U-Know, RM and JB.. What's make Taeyong is so special is that he's only officially appointed as NCT127's leader but he is also unofficially the leader for the whole NCT team.. When you look at Taeyong face, at first he looks so bold, but then you will realize that he is a soft guy, always protect people around him and makes you want to protect him too.
SM leaders may be from the big three, but have every time they receive an award, they always bow 90° (Suho, Taeyong, etc.) and that is genuinely the most humble thing I've ever seen. And the fact that only SM idols do this and not any other group just does things to my heart.
It's amazing how the members listen to him very quickly and do as he instructs 😊 NCT is really very caring group, they care for each other & people around them & their fans too!
A true leader doesn’t think he’s the best in everything, but surrounds himself with the best people for the job to achieve the task in front of them. One example of this was their US promotion. Taeyong knows he’s not the best English speaker so he lets Johnny n Mark take control so that way there wouldn’t be any miscommunications. He just stands in the back or side. He’s usually the one leading the dance rehearsals but in the US he lets Johnny talk to the organizers/producers to let them know what’s going on in the show. I just love the fact that he’s not scared to let others shine, knows his shortcoming, and not afraid to learn from others. Now you can watch their recent US interviews and he’s actually understanding questions in English and answering in English without help from Jonny n mark.

Taeyong is definitely one of the best leader i've seen in Kpop. I think what make him really special is that he lead the group in the "centre"..some kpop leaders lead their group from the "back" or from the "front". Those who lead their group from the front is usually very charismatic..those who lead from the back is usually very supportive and gentle.. But leading from the centre..you'll have to be BOTH. Not to mention..leading from the centre will means that you have to be the "ace" of the group..being in the front means you'll be like a "windshield" protecting the group..being at the back means you'll be like a "guardian" supporting the group.. But being at the centre like Taeyong means that you'll be like a "pillar" holding the group. So yeah..what i'm saying is it's pretty rare to see the type of leader like Taeyong.
While watching this, I can't stop thinking how others are doubting Taeyong as the leader, why they are hating on him. I just hope those haters will come to realize and accept all the good things Taeyong did for the members (who are those doubters/haters biases) and for the fans. One more important moment is that when Jungwoo almost cried on Vlive (The 3rd Anniversary of NCT 127), Taeyong said: "(Interrupted JW) You have always been with us from trainee's time and please keep staying here with us in the future. (Then said to us) Jungwoo works really hard (I use present tense here to make it truthfully), and there are so many things he will show you in the future." TY is my first bias in NCT. 8:30 He is so humble! He shouts out his other members who are amazing dancers! They're some of my favorites too. Though, personally he's my favorite kpop dancer because I love his story. Him starting from the bottom as a dancer, and not knowing how to dance. His teacher told him he didn't think he wasn't going to make it as an idol because he wasn't good at dancing. One of his teachers said he was like a blank piece of paper. And Taeyong said when he first heard that he was hurt, but as he got better he took it to mean, more like a blank canvas and he can create his on art with dancing. He said he was placed in the back of the dance practice room, and made his way to the middle, and then made his way to the front. His dancing skills are amazing, and you'd never know his story if you just watched him free-style, and his perfect moves in the choreographies. He's not one of those dancing prodigies, or people that have been dancing since they were young, he started at the bottom and worked hard, and that's just gets me!
i would be so proud to carry his name to all over the world. he’s such a great and thoughtful leader. when he saw fans in trouble, he even helped them. i’m so glad knowing him. let’s support him for a long time 💚

Eversince, I am YG stan. Like, I really stan all of their artist. I stick with YG artist. But never try to stan another group aside from YG groups. NCT funny moments are scattered at TH-cam Reccommendations but I never watched them. Until, yeah, I saw Mark Lee's video (which shows how he easily laugh), I fell inlove to him and told myself to stan this boy. I searched for his group. Their funny vids, and then suddenly, it's not just Mark Lee anymore. It's been NCT. I appreciate every member. And I don't have bias now, because I love them all.

There is something you don't understand. Idk if you are new kpop fan of this generation. Have you ever heard of the Tablo scandal? It happened years ago in kpop. In Korea, no matter how much you try clearing up your name of what you are being accused of, netizens won't let it go. There are 2 things you can do, apologize or go on a hiatus, or else it won't be forgotten. In Korea people have a herd mentality(which kpop fans of this generation are also starting to adapt). So once an idea is set, they will run wild with it. Back then Tablo was more famous than top idol groups, loved by the general public..but he didn't even survived it. He try to prove his innocence, many many times..he even had concrete evidence. He even traveled with a camera crew for Korean national television all the way to the US to prove his innocence to Koreans, but they refuse to believed him. That drag on for years, until he popularity dropped & his music career went down. Everyone in the industry witnessed what happen to Tablo. The more you feed Korean netizens, the more they will scrutinize the truth. You don't know all the continuoes lies they made up about Tablo, & dissect his words every time he would make a public statement. There is a huge anti group that formed that wanted "the truth" & the worst part is that Koreans believed those anti groups. Some of Tablo's family & friends even got fired from their jobs just by association & got death threats. Especially now when Korea is very sensitive making hashtags about bullytoo, you don't want Taeyong involved in that. Sm settled it & handled it well for Taeyong, so it won't comeback to hurt him later. I hope that issue doesn't resurface again.

omg you made me tear up a little for the appreciation. Im so frustrated because no one was mentioning how they really performed for ALL THOSE CITIES even if the audience is SMALL. It's like they are really out there reaching out to the fans genuinely performing and actually fulfilling the meaning of NCT127 (which is from seoul to the world). I am not a NCTizen but I knew about NCT from the beginning.
For me and I think majority of the people, Taeyong is the face of NCT (unlike other SM leaders). He brought people's attention to the group with his visual, dance, rap, aegyo, producing ability, cooking ability, cleaning obsession and many more.
He have the full package and with the members and NCTizen support, the group can be more successfull BECAUSE he's not selfish. He reminds me of GDragon, the most successfull leader of the most successfull group in kpop history.
Lastly, just because Taeyong listened to members wish that doesn't make him powerless. Only stupid leader doesn't listen.

Being a leader doesn’t mean one has to lead every time. It is when they know that someone better is fit for the job and gives way for them. Not only do they guide the group but also make sure each and every member shines in what he is doing. Taeyong and other kpop leaders are not “Powerless” rather they are considerate and thoughtful leaders that know when to use their fist or not

When you look at Taeyong face, at first he looks so bold, but then you will realize that he is a soft guy, always protect people around him and makes you want to protect him too.
He always shower the other members with compliments. Humble, sensitive and vulnerable, the material of true artists.
SM leaders may be from the big three, but have every time they receive an award, they always bow 90° (Suho, Taeyong, etc.) and that is genuinely the most humble thing I've ever seen. And the fact that only SM idols do this and not any other group just does things to my heart.

A true leader doesn’t think he’s the best in everything, but surrounds himself with the best people for the job to achieve the task in front of them. One example of this was their US promotion. Taeyong knows he’s not the best English speaker so he lets Johnny n Mark take control so that way there wouldn’t be any miscommunications. He just stands in the back or side. He’s usually the one leading the dance rehearsals but in the US he lets Johnny talk to the organizers/producers to let them know what’s going on in the show. I just love the fact that he’s not scared to let others shine, knows his shortcoming, and not afraid to learn from others. Now you can watch their recent US interviews and he’s actually understanding questions in English and answering in English without help from Jonny n mark.

Taeyong is definitely one of the best leader i've seen in Kpop. I think what make him really special is that he lead the group in the "centre"..some kpop leaders lead their group from the "back" or from the "front". Those who lead their group from the front is usually very charismatic..those who lead from the back is usually very supportive and gentle.. But leading from the centre..you'll have to be BOTH. Not to mention..leading from the centre will means that you have to be the "ace" of the group..being in the front means you'll be like a "windshield" protecting the group..being at the back means you'll be like a "guardian" supporting the group.. But being at the centre like Taeyong means that you'll be like a "pillar" holding the group. So yeah..what i'm saying is it's pretty rare to see the type of leader like Taeyong.

8:30 He is so humble! He shouts out his other members who are amazing dancers! They're some of my favorites too. Though, personally he's my favorite kpop dancer because I love his story. Him starting from the bottom as a dancer, and not knowing how to dance. His teacher told him he didn't think he wasn't going to make it as an idol because he wasn't good at dancing. One of his teachers said he was like a blank piece of paper. And Taeyong said when he first heard that he was hurt, but as he got better he took it to mean, more like a blank canvas and he can create his on art with dancing. He said he was placed in the back of the dance practice room, and made his way to the middle, and then made his way to the front. His dancing skills are amazing, and you'd never know his story if you just watched him free-style, and his perfect moves in the choreographies. He's not one of those dancing prodigies, or people that have been dancing since they were young, he started at the bottom and worked hard, and that's just gets me!

NCT funny moments are scattered at TH-cam Reccommendations but I never watched them. Until, yeah, I saw Mark Lee's video (which shows how he easily laugh), I fell inlove to him and told myself to stan this boy. I searched for his group. There is something you don't understand. Idk if you are new kpop fan of this generation. Have you ever heard of the Tablo scandal? It happened years ago in kpop. In Korea, no matter how much you try clearing up your name of what you are being accused of, netizens won't let it go. There are 2 things you can do, apologize or go on a hiatus, or else it won't be forgotten. In Korea people have a herd mentality(which kpop fans of this generation are also starting to adapt). So once an idea is set, they will run wild with it. Back then Tablo was more famous than top idol groups, loved by the general public..but he didn't even survived it. He try to prove his innocence, many many times..he even had concrete evidence. He even traveled with a camera crew for Korean national television all the way to the US to prove his innocence to Koreans, but they refuse to believed him. That drag on for years, until he popularity dropped & his music career went down. Everyone in the industry witnessed what happen to Tablo. The more you feed Korean netizens, the more they will scrutinize the truth. You don't know all the continuoes lies they made up about Tablo, & dissect his words every time he would make a public statement. There is a huge anti group that formed that wanted "the truth" & the worst part is that Koreans believed those anti groups. Some of Tablo's family & friends even got fired from their jobs just by association & got death threats. Especially now when Korea is very sensitive making hashtags about bullytoo, you don't want Taeyong involved in that. Sm settled it & handled it well for Taeyong, so it won't comeback to hurt him later. I hope that issue doesn't resurface again.
