Your video is very good and I always follow it. I have a Rotax Evo, and it's not going above 94km/h, I noticed that the valve isn't opening and closing correctly, I've already cleaned it and it's still not working. Do you think this is limiting the speed? as it reached 110km/h. What do you advise me to do? Could it be an electronic problem? Is there any electronic test that can be done? Do you have a video about this? big hug
Great video! I like how you explain things 👍🏼. Do you know what compression a Rotax max senior should run at if it is a healthy engine? And if the compression of an engine is in the healthy range does this mean that it shouldn’t need a rebuild Imminently, if it is being used by a weekend warrior like myself? Thanks, Will.
Hi Will, Historically we don't do compression tests, but you see minor performance loss at the 10 hour of use mark, then quite significant at the 30 hour mark. We do have some decent used parts if you are just trying to keep the engine running
mine isn't starting it has been left over the winter and the carb was drained but i didn't remove the jet. any tips for where to start. it cranks and doesn't turn over freely but it just doesn't start. any tips? also do you have a website because i am looking to get a basic rebuild as im getting some oily leakage from either the power valve or head gasket.
Thanks fort the comment. our website is www.odkarts.com If the engine doesn't want to start, sometimes the needle and seat in the carburetor can be stuck closed. Typically a quick dis assembly and re-assembly of the carburetor will do the trick. Try some WD40 on the inlet needle. Please make sure the battery is fully charged and holds over 8 volts when cranking.

Great video, very clear ...
Glad it was helpful!
Very good video, might have been a bit to hard on the 17mm.. gonna be a little easier on that one from now on 👌🏁
Great video! Great tips! Thanks!
Thank you, we will be rolling more out as our in person seminars are delayed until after covid
Could you do a full rebuild video - both top and bottom end?
Thank you we will put this on our task list
What type of oil you put in the Rotax DD2 gear box?
We use 150mL of Motul Transoil 10W-30
