Props to Delta for saying what a lot of us needed to hear this year. I can attest, wasting energy on people unwilling to change or compromise is wearing us down and allows others to hold some kind of power over us which only makes us feel inferior in the long run.
Same! Miss Delta said what I needed to hear…glad she included that bit on setting boundaries at work too, where dynamics there can be just as toxic as ones in families- I know from experience. I am so done with being taken for granted and disrespected- as someone who’s approaching 40…I really don’t wanna waste precious time on ppl who do not give a crap about me or anyone else - and only think of themselves.

Before Christmas last year - probably about August/September I came out as transgender. Everyone at my family Christmas party refused to use my new name and pronouns and constantly misgendered me the entire night, because "there are kids at the party and we really don't want to confuse them,". Then one of those said kids came up to me and called me by my new name before correcting themselves to my deadname. So they didn't want to influence or confuse the kids and then told them about me and refused to respect me even despite their children knowing. I won't be going back for Christmas and I don't talk to any of those people anymore and hearing you "go off delta" really helped me feel firm in my decision to cut them off. You're exactly right. For what? So they can all make me miserable on purpose? I'm excited to share the holiday with my girlfriend this year and just spend time as a small holiday together but it still stings knowing if I was a different person I would be invited to their family Christmas again. Anyways, go off delta, love the pod, keep serving the community gorge I'm eating it up. Hope you have a booked and blessed holiday season

that moment when they talk about makeup & wigs for production, that so true! every beauty, grace, & dignity that you see on your screen in actually *EXTREMELY TAILORED TO THAT PERSON*. That's why some studio do had large screen so the artist can see them self & monitoring them self, and their makeup artist standby inside that studio to help fixing them in the middle of shoot... oh also believe me, being makeup artist for boradcast show, even for some of professional broadcast studio (even the small scale ones) is very challenging. The artist is sit on the stage, bathing in hot kino lights, while the cameraman & makeup artist is sit on darker side, showered by very-very cold air, due those kino light is very very hot. Lucky nowadays LED light is less hot, but still, the heat is no joke, especially stronger, higher lumens LED light.
That's why constant monitoring is important by the makeup artis, as a simple crack can be seen nowadays, thanks to 4K & 8K cameras nowadays.

Thank you for saying well all of what you said but especially the spending money on presents because you feel you have to. I've always felt like I have to buy presents for my aunt and cousins because my aunt always buys me a couple presents. I usually don't have the money to buy my children presents and here I am feeling the need to spend money on someone who has always talked down to me and about me. A person who has always made sure it's known that I am the least liked member of the family. I've never asked her for presents but because she does get me something I feel like I have to buy her one. Today you made me realize I don't have to. Why should I? I don't have to go to her house for family dinner even though it's been a tradition since I was born. I'm 44 why am I letting anyone make me do things I'm uncomfortable with? OMG 😳

IN DRAG!!!???, not only would she excel at it and be extraordinarily successful (since it's a niche in the market that no one has filled yet) but I would book a ticket to see her without even thinking twice, and that's after me watching only the first 20 mins of this episode...
