- Chemical Engineering Liquid Liquid Extraction Ternary Triangular Diagrams.
There has been a number of questions about how we obtained line E1R1. The first step you have to do is to approximate a tie line that passes through point M. You can use the tie line above and below to approximate a tie line with similar slope making sure it passes through point M. Points R1 and E1 can be found on the miscibility boundary, that's how line E1-R1 was drawn. Please see this slide show video on how find the line if it is not already on a tie line - • Answer to E1R1 2020
This is the best ever explanation in my entire college life.
This video is excellent and very well-structured, thanks a lot! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to fully grasp ternary diagrams.
Excellent. For many students, this will be a very helpful tutorial about ternary phase diagrams.
the best video i ever seen on explaining a ternary graph... Lots of Love from India
this is my second time to watch this video. I wanted to Thank you again. it is the besttttttt video I found.
Great video, fascinating. That explanation is very good. It is the only video with which I have clarified my doubts. Excellent, Thanks You.
This was very much clear than my professor. Can you make more Chemical Engineering stuffs?
Thank you very much. I will try make more topics on unit ops and separations.
This video is so helpful when it comes to understanding of Ternanaries triangle diagrams.
nice job. Thank you professor. I love your Indian English❤
After one month I got this video and understood completely
Thank you so much for so useful explanation, I am so thanksful. This video saved my life. You are the best
Thank you so much Sir! You have helped me a great deal. My lecturer rushed through this and I did not understand it at all but now thanks to you, I do. I appreciate all your work.
This video is amazing. You very well explained the concepts using illustrations.
I could tell that this accent is from home... thank you for making me bunk and still pass
Very useful. Lovely simple description of a quite a hard topic.
Thank you so much! I've been trying to figure this out for a while now, this is great!
good presentation with clear explaination.
Thanks !! It helped a lot. The best description of plotting and application in problem of ternary diagram.
Thank you sir! I have permission to share this video on my TH-cam
Very well explained awesome ❤❤
THANK YOU FOR EXPLAINING THE LEVER RULE OMG UR THE FIRST GUY
Thanks dude! Better than my book :)
Thanks so much . God bless you
Best explanation ever. Thank you so much :)
Thanks Dr.
Really helpful as I prepare for my TEST!!
Very informative video 10/10 Thank you
thank you very much my brother it was enlightening keep on doing the good work
Thanks, it was all I needed, and well explained.
Glad it helped!
Thank you!
It is a very useful video.
This video was very helpful for me...
Thank you
Thank you so much! You're the best.
this is so clear and useful thank you.
I finally understand this, thank you!
Nice video man. 🇿🇦
Appreciate it!
Absolute legend
Thank you so much! You are a lifesaver!!
This is just Great
really good explanation thanks Dr
Super helpful! Thank you so much
Wow you made it easy
could you explain please how can i read off the composition of E and R from the diagram?
Apologies as I was not very clear on that point. The compositions you read them of the ternary diagram. Please see this: th-cam.com/video/BCmTN9T_W0E/w-d-xo.html
Can you help me? How to plot the binary mixture. Thank you.
Hi Sir , I have a question related to Ternary diagram , can you please answer my question
Hi Hammad, Yes. What is your question?
How 2 plot the 2 phase region?
Perfect thank you😊😊
At least better than our teacher
Thank u so much , really helpful
Thank you sir😊😊
I have a question. How would you know the solvent that the solute would be more soluble just by looking at the diagram?
It was very helpful but I don't understand a thing. How do you determinate the line E1-R1?
The first step you have to do is to approximate a tie line that passes through point M. You can use the dotted lines to make a line with similar slope making sure it passes through point M. Points R1 and E1 can be found on the miscibility boundary, that's how line E1-R1 was drawn. See this video th-cam.com/video/1Cdfinxz0EU/w-d-xo.html
@@TumisangSeodigeng Thank you very much!! You're and excellent teacher. I'm doing a problem and, I have the luck that the M point crosses with a repartiment line and then this is my E1-R1 line. Thank you very much again.
@@anaselme Thank you very much for the kind words.
How did you divided the triangular region into single and double phase? I mean from where did you decide the curve?
Awesome video!
Really helped!
good
Sir how do plot curve and tie lines inside triangle diagram .kindly explain it
Hi. Thank you for the Video. But How can I find the Position of Point M ??
Thank you very much! very useful!
How did you get the line E1-R1 between the tie lines? Did you draw that line using a conjugate curve and the point M? I don't get it.
It's just an interpolation or estimate of a tie line that would pass through point M.
May I ask, in the phase diagram above, how many phases are there? Thank you.
thanks very helpful
You're welcome!
Superb
Can we say that water, benzene and acetic acid form a ternary system. I did'nt get one thing water is not soluble in benzene and but how then adding acetic acid make them soluble
Yes in someway it means that. If you look at the plait point, CP it is a completetly dissolved single phase liquid with 9% water, 39% Benzene, 52% Acetic Acid. drive.google.com/file/d/1wOutMhJLI5ra59oljdoILDLmeUQk2diz/view?usp=sharing
However you cannot have water and benzene soluble by themselves in a binary system. If you look at the Water-Benzene base, the mixture will always split into two pure liquids.
Thanx for nice explanation
👍👍👍
May i know how to get Xma and Xmc? isit 0.45/3 for Xma and 0.55/3 for Xmc?
EXCELLENT.
may i ask, i want to do a liquid-liquid extraction to extract acetic acid from it aquoues solution into ethyl acetate, i want to use 20 wt% of acetic acid to be extracted into ethyl acetate, my question is, how do i determine what is the concentration of my organic solvent to be used for the solvent extraction?
i salute you. thank u soo much
thank u
Sir can u explain how to draw the tie lines
simply the best
certainly saved my ass
Thank you!
Is the Finaly result R1 and E1 to be given?
Please the time of the video, where you are asking this question. Sorry, I don't understand the question.
Thanks a lot
Thanks
thank you so much!!!!!
excellent
Which software is the best to plot ternary diagram?
Mohsin Raza I use Chemcad.
Thank u sir :)
Chirag Gupta you are welcome. More to come this year. Please subscribe
I got nothing from 16:09 and so. Pleas could you explain me where do these valeus come from?
I I am not sure I follow, if you are talking about R1 and E1, they come from solving the two equations: A-Balance equation and C-Balance equation.
Apologies as I was not very clear on that point. The compositions you read them of the ternary diagram. Please see this: th-cam.com/video/BCmTN9T_W0E/w-d-xo.html
Tumisang Seodigeng oh, don't mind, Thank you so much!
Sir what we do is that we make ratios then how to get their percentage to plot on phase diagram.
ngiyabonga Tumi
cudnt get R1 and E1 part. how are thy getting the composition???
Apologies as I was not very clear on that point. The compositions you read them of the ternary diagram. Please see this: th-cam.com/video/BCmTN9T_W0E/w-d-xo.html
