    Thank you for the follow-up!
    For that SodaStream bottle of Starry one serving needs 18ml of syrup per 12 ounces. The Ninja Thirsty pods (Mio is similar) uses 3-4ish ml per 12 ounces. So you may get a faint hint from the SodaStream syrup, but I wouldn't recommend using it to fill a Ninja pod with. Just make 12oz of plain carbonated water and pour the SodaStream syrup into the carbonated water like you would do with the regular SodaStream.
    Also, the Ninja reads the color of the lids on the pods. Some like the Splash are white and others blue. If you use Mio drops or a like alternative you will probably want them in a blue topped pod.

      So you're saying the blue covers dispense slightly more flavor?
      Might be worth trying to fill 2 blue ninja containers, then set both to max flavors and see how the soda stream flavors taste then. 🤷‍♂️

      @danielwilliams1612 if you're referring to the just a dad video. He used one blue cintainer and one white.
      I can't imagine it would make that big of a difference.

    Instead of adding the soda stream concentrate to the ninja bottles, just do a plain glass of soda water with the bubbles and add desired amount of soda stream directly into the glass

    • @kstorrer
      @kstorrer  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes! I figured this out in later videos! Some things work in the pods (mio, crystal light) while others like Sodastream don't so you just have to add it directly to plain carbonated water. Thanks so much for watching!

    Thank you for the hacks. I don’t add the flavors to the empty Thirsti containers, but I add them to just carbonated water. So, I run it with just carbonated water and then add the flavors after. My favorite is to run the lemonade flavor and add Torani syrups to make flavored lemonades.

    I don't even exchange my CO2 canisters. There's a place near me that sells dry ice in pellet form. They do have strange hours, but if all I need is to stop by real quick and give them $5-6 and I get enough pellets to refill the 4 canisters I've collected (I found some empty ones being sold $10 each). Using gloves or tongs, I drop the pellets one by one into the canister until the weight is correct, then seal it up. You can look up "the dry ice method" for more specifics but I fill 4 canisters for $5-6 bucks this way and no need to crush the dry ice.

    You can buy larger CO2 canisters at places that sell beer in kegs. Then you can either buy adapters to hook up to your Thirsty soda machine or buy connectors to refill your empties that you pre chill and refill your empty cartridges. I have seen a video on TH-cam where the guy drilled a hole in the back of the Thirsty and fed the hose through the back and connected it with adapters that fit the connection in the machine. The other end goes to a large canister that went inside the cabinet.
    Also, they sell bottles of syrup or you can find recipes on TH-cam to make your own flavors.

    This does NOT work, it doesnt use enough of the syrup its like getting hints of flavor instead of the right amount. You can pour the right amound in a glass first and just do the carbonated water setting but you lose some carbonation this way.

      @kstorrer  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes I do that now (add flavoring first and then add carbonated water) when using the Sodastream syrups. Other flavor drops like Mio, Crystal Light, & Kool Aid can be poured into the empty Thirsti pods and they work great! Thanks for watching! 😃

    So the flavors are $1 more, but last WAY longer

      I just did a new video testing flavors in the pods (mio, crystal light, sodastream bubly). All of those flavors will work in the pods. They typically cost around $3 but they are smaller (1.62 oz vs 2.07 oz). So they are less expensive than the Thirsti pods which cost $6.99 but they are smaller. th-cam.com/video/MObpMzN3XfE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=_hVDURUHHLbe8kmg

    The co2 you can use aren’t the pink soda stream ones. Only the blue ones. You should have done more research for people

    • @kstorrer
      @kstorrer  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The one I use in the video (blue) are the ones that can be used with the Thirsti. The pink ones (quick connect) do not work with the Thirsti. Thanks for watching!

    so much trouble, why not just buy a soda stream... lol

    • @kstorrer
      @kstorrer  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I actually bought this to replace my Sodastream, and I love it! I love being able to make one drink at a time versus a liter at a time. I've been refilling the pods with Crystal Light, Mio, and more and it works really well! The Sodastream flavors work best if you make plain seltzer water and then just pour the Sodastream syrup into your cup directly. Thanks for your comment and for watching!
