- Here are three Soviet films, made for the indoctrination of Red Army troops, including the use of the standard issue Kalashnikov rifle AK-47, small arms, the Kalashnikov machine gun, the RPG-7 grenade launcher, and various hand grenades.
Narration: This is our division. We’ve been doing marksmanship training for many days now. It is difficult. But as Suvorov said, “What is difficult in training will become easy in a battle.” (01.00)
The Kalashnikov assault rifle is the powerful and reliable service rifle of the Soviet military. Thanks to its design features, it outclasses the best small arms from any other country, including the US. The Kalashnikov works smoothly in any conditions: in the pouring rain, in cold temperatures, in dust. (03.12) Operational characteristics of the rifle: maximum range is 3,000 m; lethal up to 1,500 m; the aiming range is 1,000m; the maximum effective range is 400m; a bullet pierces through a brick wall of up to 15 cm; the rate of fire is up to 600 shots a minute; the effective rate of burst fire is up to 100 shots a minute; the effective rate of fire at single-shot fire is up to 40 shots a minute. (03.58) Main parts of the rifle: the barrel with a receiver, a sight, and a stock. (04.20) Receiver cover, breechblock carrier with a breech plug, a breechblock, a recoil spring, a forearm with gas tube assembly, a trigger and firing mechanism, a foregrip, a magazine, a bayonet knife. (04.46)
What could be done to prevent stoppages? A soldier must know the firing techniques. Here are a few of them: firing from a prone position (06.05), from a kneeling position (07.15), from a standing position (07.35). I remember it from school. ‘You’re closing the wrong eye! Don’t breathe when you’re pulling the trigger! You’re a bad soldier, give the schoolkids a chance!’ (09.37) A soldier from our subdivision, Grisha Vekshin, proved to be a good machine gunner. The Kalashnikov hand-held machine gun is the most powerful squad automatic weapon. (12.26) Most of its parts are shared with the modernized variant of the AK-47 rifle. Grisha mastered the weapon perfectly. There are three stages of fire: getting into the position, firing, and ceasing fire. This is the instruction for firing from a prone position. (14.46) Firing the Kalashnikov hand-held machine gun on the move is easy thanks to the simplicity, mobility, and the light weight of the weapon. The firing spot should conceal the soldier from the enemy and be suitable for applying firing techniques. (16.01) Keep an eye on the field, inspect the objects from right to left, first the closer objects than the further ones. It is important to search for targets and shoot quickly. First shoot the most dangerous and important target, then the one that is the closest to you and is the most vulnerable. A moving target should be shot considering the prediction interval (18.06) Night firing. Sight quickly and lock the target. (18.49) The next film shows the RPG-7, a portable, reusable, unguided, shoulder-launched, anti-tank, rocket-propelled grenade launcher. The film describes the weapon including accessories (22:00) and shows how it should be used in the field. At 22:47, animation shows how the weapon travels in flight at 300 meters per second, and can pierce armor plating. The weapon also carries a self-destruct charge, that will detonate within 4-6 seconds of being fired (if it does not hit a target). At 27:00 a discussion of the RPG-7's optical sight, "close your left eye and lean your right eye against the eyecup. using the rangefinder, check the distance to the target. For this you need to know the height of the target and see it completely.." At 29:00, a live fire exercise is shown with the RPG-7 fired against moving tanks.
The next film shows fragmentation hand grenades. Grenades can be of different types, depending on the fragment distribution range. (30.28) Here is the structure of RGD-5, RG-42, and F-1. Throwing a grenade: from a standing position, from a kneeling position, from a prone position. The rifle is in the position that would provide the ability to grab it and fire immediately. (33.40) A hollow charge grenade RKG-3 is used to fight tanks and other armored targets. Its weight is 1,070 gr, its throwing range is 15-20 m. (34.22) How to throw a grenade. (35.15). When one is targeting a moving tank, it is necessary to aim a few meters in front of it. (26.15) Not running away, not being afraid means surviving, it means winning against a tank. (36.46) Once the grenade is thrown, the soldier must hide. It is not easy to handle small arms, but as Suvorov said, “What is difficult in training will become easy in a battle.”

@@sergeymail2259 но зарубежом не было союзов писателей и композиторов, в том то и дело. А вопрос прост - всеобщее стремление к экономии и отрицательный отбор кадров порождают массовый дилетантизм. Конечно, отдельные энтузиасты которые сделают компетентно есть всегда, но не при нынешних запросах от расхолаженных заказчиков. Тогда был стимул делать хорошо и наглядно, потому что была выше вероятность большой войны и была свежа память о прошлой войне. Позже это само по себе атрофировалось и новый заказ, как и в принципе многое пошло со спущенными рукавами, включая эти самые "единые стандарты качества к не самым первоочередным вещам"

Судя по тому, что на бойцах СШ-40, а не СШ-68 и гимнастерки, а не форма обр. 1969 года, можно сказать, что это до 1969 года.
Мне удалось вывести даты от 1961 до 1969, наверняка есть что-то, что я упустил.

Holy Cr*p! Did I see a Suppressor on an AK 47 during the first couple minutes! Being a US Vet the training portion of how to use the weapon in types of positions seems Point on! It's like watching a cartoon when they Did it in WW2 training films! Are those 40 or 60 round magazines for the machine gun members! Yes at that time we all were taught how to take down aircraft!

As an American learning Russian who is very interested in Soviet Weaponry, this was a very interesting watch between it being good listening practice for learning Russian and it was interesting to see how the soldiers were trained on the AKM and RPK in addition to the RPG-7 and the different hand grenades. Never knew until now that they were trained to shoot at aircraft with the AKs (pretty optimistic for a cartridge that’s pretty difficult to shoot accurately past 400 meters, and even expert shooters are only effective with it up to around the 600 meter range). Even crazier, but made more sense was the guy lying under the tank and then throwing the long range hand grenade at it to stop it. I’m not a huge fan of sitting through long videos, though that leaves me instantly when it’s got something to do with Kalashnikov rifles.

Это имеет смысл, что они использовали тактику из Второй Мировой войны в те времена, потому что это только 2 десятилетия после войны и это еще недавний опыт. Интересно, что мы прошли долгий путь от перезарядки правой руки с автоматами а сейчас, солдаты стреляют по дронам вместо самолеты в те дни.

@helmuthaberkost4901 They're both long-stroke gas piston, but the locking mechanisms are completely different. AK is rotating bolt, while StG is tilting bolt. Trigger mechanism and assembly process are also very different.

At 4:07 the CC translation reads that their concentrated fire is good for airplanes and parachutist at 500 meters. I imagine they mean airborne assault troops. Would be pretty harsh to shoot aircrew that bailed out of damaged aircraft. But it is war. I wonder if there are international rules on shooting at aircrew parachuting to earth. Very cool video!

This film was on the channel few years ago.
Good memory. However there are some differences between that version and this one. Film 88974 (th-cam.com/video/lx8OCuvIbo0/w-d-xo.html) and Film 85155 (th-cam.com/video/J3JApTdupaI/w-d-xo.html) are essentially the same film for the first 20 minutes. 8897 is a bit more dupey. At 20:08, film 88974 begins to differ from 8515. 85155 contains footage of the RPG-7 that 8897 does not have, but both films have the segments about AK-47s and hand grenades. In other words, there is quite a bit of overlapping content.

Многая информация устарела. Сейчас этих классных парней в ровном поле, либо дроны перебьют, либо вражеская арта. Очередями почти никто не стреляет, бк хоть и 8-10 магазинов, но кончаются быстро. Сейчас на солдатах бронежилеты, другой хват оружия, отличаются стойки для стрельбы. Не показали как взвести РПГ, и снять поставить на предохранитель, не показали механический прицел. Ркг видел только на полигоне, тяжеленная дура, которую далеко не кинуть, врятли танк к вам подойдёт так близко, и врятли вы захотите её таскать.

If the electric scoreboard is true? They were ahead of the times!?!?!! The grenades as far as I know were the Fragmentation ( no1)! Smoke ( can looking one) and im thinking flash) bang? RPG is an RPG. I think they changed positions for the gunner and supplier so they don't cross over? I knew of the thank grenades but, never knew there was a parachute/ drag unit on it? Meant to Help stabilize the grenade so it would hit head on for the Directional charge to be effective!

Sure, it's pretty simple actually. Electrically operated targets were quite common in dedicated practice ranges (on above-regiment level, regiments were rotated through such training grounds in a half-year basis, ideally twice a year: the first time at summer, and the second time at winter for all-weather training)
Grenades are all HE-frag, actually. RGD-5, a newer (by the time) 'assault' grenade, WWII-era 'assault' RG-42 (looks like a can) and F-1 'defence' grenade, a modernized variant of WWI grenade. 'Assault' grenades have more HE filling and less massive fragments, while 'defense' grenades are meant to be used out of cover only in order to repel assaulting enemy thanks to the fact their fragments are deadly far beyond the throwing range
AT grenade with a small parachute is a WWII grenade used before any recoilless variants, you got all the stuff about it right

looking at that video now, you can see that they not even try to change their doktrin. even some of the techniques are the same. the same weapons are still in use, and they showed people prepare for trench warfare.

АК начали массово производит в 53, в 61 их и скс заменили на АКМ, в 74 на АК-74, в 92ом мотострелкам и вдв начали выдавать АК-74М, в 16ом десанту дали АК-12.
Но учитывая приколы России у тебя в основном ак-74 у всех остальных, которым по 50 лет, добавляя нагрузку в виде коррозийных патронов им не очень то и хорошо.
СССР менял вооружение раз в 10-20 лет, тем временем мы используем автоматы Которые ровесники наших отцов. Одно дело да автоматика, у тебя есть АК-400(по факту ак-12) серии, которые работают также на поворотном затворе с длинным ходом газового поршня, который еще Гаранд использовал, но это не тоже самое что использовать 50 летную 74ку, которую срочники все эти года ломали или вообще гнила в деревянном ящике.

On paper USSR was alliance of several countries with independent government.

Если тебя интересует копия штурмгевера это будет Автомат Дементьева АД-46, тот как раз-таки использовал систему Шмайссера, а точнее Симонова, ибо немцы копировали ее с захваченных АВС-36 в штурмгевере и гевере 43?
Калашников с Зайцевым использовали систему гаранда.
А так СССР интересовался впервую очередь штамповкой от немецких специалистов, ибо фрезеровка очень дорого и много весит, проблема оказалась в том, что немцы пожертвовали долговечностью ради скорости производства и СССР потребовалась почти 10 лет, чтобы сделать АКМ, штампованный АК. Хватит пожалуйста нести чушь , что СССР ничего не мог создать
К примеру вначале войны все передовые войск РККА были вооружены полуавтоматическими винтовками авс-36 и свт-38, почти 800 тысяч, тем временем у немцев были только болтовки. К примеру СССР произвел 1.5 миллиона свт-40, тем временем как Германия если сложить вместе гевер-43 и штурмгевер получиться около 700к
