I wish more girl groups did this early 2000s rnb vibe, its such a fresh sound for kpop groups (in my opinion)
Yes agreed. I mean the Poppy-Pop sound is Wonderful and all, but more Versatility would suffice as well.
Facts
There are some kpop songs like this that are b-sides
ADOR's (the group's label) CEO Min Heejin used to be part of SM Ent, she worked on albums like SHINee's ODD and f(x)'s 4 walls, and the vibe and sound of this group so far seems to be inspired from those aforementioned albums
that makes so much more sense knowing she worked on those albums definitely a similar vibey sound
Literally so much sense wtf! Clearly this just shows SM's staff superiority when it comes to music
she's the one behind pink tape too.
pink tape concept was revolutionary, and you clearly can see some of it's colors on new jeans too. min heejin is a legend and when you get to know some of her work you can easily tell her influences

I'm actually excited what she can do now since she leads her own label now, and can freely do what she wants..i've read one of her interview that it was actually the reason of the ador labels. plus girl group audition should be the one that is collaborated by big hit and source music leaded by her but since she has a different idea than bang pd, they decided to create a new label and bang pd said rather than going in the same path, why don't they do different things to create more diversity
Youre absolutely right about it sounding like something SM would do because this group is under ADOR x HYBE and ADOR is ran by SMs former creative director Min Hee-Jin(She left to form her own record label under Hybe). Shes worked on alot of iconic SM mvs. I love this sound so much ❤
How does this sound like an SM type of song though? Everything that SM has been realizing sounds nothing like this though

@@CL-cn8wt listen to butterfly effect by exo. Off the top of my head it illustrates the point. Other groups have vocalists, sure, but they don't layer the harmonies like SM does and the sounds are not simple and clean as such. That's probably what Sebastine is hearing.
@@CL-cn8wt it sounds like SM because they're more know have some of the most R&B influence in kpop. While yes, other groups do R&B, SM's a company who stands out for it. There are other elements that feel SM-esque as well like choreo imo. It's fine if you don't see it though.

I love how seb can just know the sounds of different companys. I love it. Show how much he understands kpop and music. This group is under adour and I think the CEO was under sm and then formed her own label.

So many diff groups release diff songs with different sounds. Its ridiculous claiming a r&b sounding song as SM specially since new sm groups been specializing in transformers music (its almost ironic). He doesnt know sht.
If you've listened to bts,txt (even svt lesserafim) bsides and discography, this song doesnt really fall out of place.

The ceo of ADOR used to work at sm, i think that's make kinda sense, it's not just sm sound but 1st gen sound, it reminds me a lot of groups like s.e.s (an sm gg from 1st gen)

Just curious how you think this sound like an SM song? To me this is not similar to the music SM has been releasing. There are groups from Hybe who have really great R&B song, most are bsides so you might have missed then if you don't check out the whole album
It actually has similar sounds to F(x) and SHINee and that's because Min Heejin used to work for SM and created concepts for GG, F(x), SHINee, Red Velvet and Exo. However, she's now working with HYBE. BangPD created Ador just for her, so now she's managing NewJeans ^^
This literally sounds like a fx or shines song lol it has sm all over it
as much as SM is known for doing experimental music(unfortunately people these days associate SM with only experimental music), they are also known for making other genres of music with super good harmonies. Go a few years back and listen to those SM songs which ppl have mentioned and you will understand why they said what they said😇 especially the b-sides😁. All that aside, this group is still refreshing in it's own way with their teen vibe and i am loving it.
To everyone replying this doesn't sound like F(x) music . Even if you look at hybe's groups their b-sides have this similar music too and are actually good. It's just people want to keep associating Min Heejin to SM
i def get what you mean by the sm thing but it would deffo be a bside not a tt sm rn are too focused on doing they experimental shit whilst hybe are more focused on creating that western vibe with their music an example being enhypen future perfect as it is heavily inspired by Chicago drill so im not rlly surprised with this new drop especially cause the new ceo of their sub company ador was a previous producer at sm

No worries they are soild. They been training at hybe for a long time. 2 of the girls were in BTS MV. And the youngest member of the group was in a kids group before.
