I actually wanted to take the commentary out when i made this video, but i accidentally left it in. After i heard the music over the cometary i thought it was a nice touch to the video. If you want the original video I can upload it for you. I have the triple jump final and the long jump final on my computer.
this deserves more views. really nice video. i reckon if u get the london 2012 video up fairly soon afetr the actual thing, people will be searching and your video will pop up before others :) you probably already knew that. great vid again

I do not work for a company, I'm a Collegiate Track athlete. I make these videos in my spare time.
I have already started working on Jumps on London, the hardest part about making the video will be getting all the footage.

It amazes that Idowu can jump that far without a landing, and I thought my long/triple jump landings were bad lol. Idowu should have the world record!
Where d'you get the videos from?
@ezoenI'm a two foot dunker. Jumping off two foot is easy. The more force you push into the ground the higher your going to jump. Just be sure to dorsiflex and push down through your feet as hard as possible and you'll get up. For training do a lot of core and lower back. For weight lifting do olympic lifting, like power cleans, snatches, and hang cleans and hang snatches. In 4 years i got my standing vertical from 21-41. It'll go up a lot faster if you know how to train.

@bpiligian I getting a camera this week I will definitely be posting more videos.
I'm extremely excited for the outdoor season yesterday i was working on my standing trip[e jumps and jumped 35ft (10.67 m ) off of a standing triple jump.
High jumps not going so great but i've gotten my standing vertical to 41 inches and my running vertical to 48 inches. I'm thinking about making a tutorial on how to dunk. =D
can you pretty pleeeeaassse do this for the London 2012 jumps comming up??? :)))))
i think if Watt wulda hed up his legs a bit longer on the landing on that one jump where he gets a ton of height, he wulda either been close or over 9m

They measure what ever mark the jumper leaves closest to the take off board.
That's what I thought, but as I watch these athletes, most of them fall back on their behinds and lose about a foot and a half from the original distance. Seems to me, if it is possible, it would make more sense to plant one's foot down sooner and try to fall to the side so you'd keep more of the distance you jumped.
I know, easier said than done!

Idowu! Why doesn't he reach?!?!?!? His landing is terrible especially for someone as gifted as him! He can beat the world record if he has a good landing. Such a shame to watch him lose because of his landing!!!
